That's exactly right, you could have 5 claims happening on a large island at the same time.

it's a small radius, you can see if another person has a claim down using the default "H" key just like pre-1.5, they may have had theirs down 3 min before you, and thus they claimed it first.

They removed it with this patch, unknown reasons. I feel the same way, also helped me keep track of where I've been.

you're so far off, hadn't talked to anybody on that island, the island when i stopped playing was also not owned as of yet, so no, it doesn't make sense... yet again we disagree. i've put 3000+ house into ark, pvp, and pve, 600 plus into this pvp, and pve how many have you got into it since you just know how it all works.

And mostly it's justified, already had my stuff blown up by the owner of a land claim, and there wasn't anything i could do. they said "it's pvp bro" but it's not pvp when you can't do anything to defend because they are in peacetime. they killed my tames, and had cannons pointed at my stone building when i logged the next day. they did this to multiple people, they also have turrets near metal resources i guess just for kicks.

And just because you see a problem doesn't mean that there is one. It doesn't matter when people were expecting it to happen, it was announced, and they were informed that everything was going away. It's odd that people complain with a lot of advanced warning, or very little. seems nothing will make some happy. i'll go back to playing instead of writing on the forums now.

Everybody has known the wipes were incoming for well over a month, what's cutting it short a few days, besides most were anticipating it at the end of last month. i'm on NA pve, and i don't see a problem with it, with over 600 hours in it before the announcement of the wipe.

This game is nothing but a grindfest, not in a bad way, but it is, what it is. You can tame all animals with multiple items, so I'm still not understanding why you'd want the equivalent of resources in multiple biomes, that's the point of the trading and sailing to get those items that you dont have on your home islands. Once you do the powerstones and kraken, what are you left with? Traveling around to get resources to tame animals, or build higher quality bps.

This would effectively remove traveling from the game, you can tame a bear with berries, but if you want a perfect tame on a high level bear you need to have the proper resource. I mean I set up in tropical I had access to honey. Maybe they should add bears to that so I dont have to travel. Doesnt make sense. Why make this game even easier to forget about, the reason I kept coming back was to explore, day in day out. Remove that aspect and you have Ark. Most of the OP I disagree with, I think the system was fine, but needed to be detuned, either hard capping claims by the size of a company with breakpoints on claims, or hard capping at 1 per steam account. Implementing GM's into this game would go a long ways to getting trolls and pushy larger companies on Pve under control.

oh most definitely not, playing Ark since Day 1, i know all about the release scheduling of the team, things change, and deadlines can be hard to meet with a small team, that said, i hope it releases late so i'm off and can get a decent spot back.

As I understand it, It changes dynamically as you increase or decrease weight, if you are at 20% you'll be faster than 50, and 50 faster than 60,70,80, and so on.

People would have bitched if they only gave us a weeks notice too, "you're wiping the server next week? I pay no attention to the tax rates where I map and farm, i personally have 15%, but if i map whether it be far or near, I'll do it at any rate. The tax system doesnt bother me in the least, I'm still seeing 5,000 gold from some maps even in 30% rate.

When it's dark general shadows give me wierd bloom almost like rainbow black fog around lightsources and islands, I have everything maxed, and bloom off. I'll get a SS when I can.

Animals fall through. I built one the walls are 3 high made of floors, then the rest regular walls as high as I like, and in weeks we havent had anything killed. I even even aggro alpha crock and ran inside and stood against the wall and he didnt hit me.

My argument for it working on weekends is exactly the same as him not having 5-6 hours a day to map and get discoveries. 1 hour on Wednesday, is the same amount of time as an hour on Saturday. Van's are an option, careers, and jobs aren't, not sure how that was supposed to fit in, also if you want a better van with better options, get a better job.

We havent lost any since i.made our pen 3 foundations high then walls up to a behemoth gate top.
