  1. I live in the cold area so at least the fur is fairly pirate looking. I love the hide armor design. I do hope more armor skins are planned down the line.
  2. You are a fucking moron. You are the kind of group think sheeple that identity politics was invented to control. You are what the communists called a 'useful idiot'. I'm seriously considering buying a second account solely to infiltrate your company.
  3. Did he say something in chat or type a message on a wooden sign or leave a message on a claim flag or paint a message on a sail?
  4. 140 guns, three masts, and it still looks so much better than their ships:
  5. @Captain Jack Shadow Enjoy fantasyland.
  6. Hold delete key to "shout" in-game voice. It drains stamina.
  7. There are only two solutions possible... Don't allow any uploaded content. Moderate all uploads through an approval process. Which do you think these devs will choose? I prefer the status quo.
  8. The system sucks. It's currently impossible to capture a ship unless it's abandoned. Selling captured ships was the main source of income for pirates. The piracy tree end tier skill sucks too. One minute off the capture timer with a ninety second cool down. The whole system needs to be replaced. Alternate system one: Each deck of a ship has a capture zone that must be held for X time. You can capture them in any order, but must hold all of them at once for Y time to claim the ship. The zones can be re-captured by the ship owners. Alternate system two: All enemy NPC's and players must be off the ship. Claim flag like the current system, but much shorter timer (30 minutes or less). You must remain on the ship to capture. Enemies stop countdown, but do not revert it until all claimants are off the ship. Anchored ships have an additional separate claim requirement that ends in a minigame to break the anchor before the main claiming process can begin.
  9. Even trading a 'ship in a box' the buyer has to be able to lay down a keel. I can't. Only one guy in my group can. Solo players should be screaming for better trade mechanics. Imagine running sap in a sloop to pay for the brigantine they're building you.
  10. Personally I'm glad that it's a slightly difficult process with low resolutions and limited colors. I have no desire to see penis and hentai sails everywhere. The character and company name dick jokes are already irritating enough.
  11. TL;DR: Devs keep strapping on bigger and spikier dildos to ram the players with. No lube allowed.
  12. FYI if you ram someone all the swivel mounts will break.
  13. Mount some ballista and kill a whale. They ate all the gold the ships of the damned dropped.
  14. Personally I'd prefer a lantern type that burns permanently and costs more resources and has to be placed like a structure.
  15. It needs to hold more weight too. Run a few decent maps and the gold weighs too much for the dinghy to move.
  16. The schooner that sank was in a laggy server with 90+ people on it. I still wonder if being near weigh limit adds to the damage. Hit some cyclones tonight in a schooner that was under half weight and only took about 500 damage from three partial cyclone hits. (Didn't go straight through the middle.) Again, it was on the high pop laggy server.
  17. *shrug* Maybe it was a bug. We repair our ships religiously. I'm too chicken to go ram cyclones to test if they were buffed. Feel free to test it though, I'd love to know for sure.
  18. When was the last time you sailed through one? We used to be blase about them as well until we lost the schooner a couple days ago. I think they ninja buffed them.
  19. Personally I usually do accommodation for one or two extra beds first (need fast respawn on PvP), then raise crew limit until I have enough slots for all AI plus my friends, then everything into weight. I would use that schooner to get a full AI crew then scrap it for a brigantine. Brig is better in every way, especially weight per level up. It's easily sailable solo with AI. Also, carry at least one full side worth of planks and gunports to replace after combat. They weigh less than materials and it is the only thing that can save your ship if you lose a few.
  20. Brigantine with 10k/20k weight took about 800 on every plank from one cyclone. Schooner with 10k/12k weight hit about four cyclones and sank.
  21. They massively increased damage dealt by cyclones.
  22. Oh I totally agree. All that canvas is distributed better as well. Not just square rigged on a single redwood planted in the middle of the ship... Lol
