  1. You are speaking about PVE. Well I tried myself for 3 weekends now. This weekend i found a players base auto decay so i settled there... farmed a lot and waited to place my warehouse and connect one farm. Today I started the market and will see after work if trades are running. I got 4k gold from a nice neighbor so i have already a Shooner and my 2 sloops are now parked forever.(yeah - now 15 knots instead of 3-5) Material for a Brig is ready but no gold. But I was able to scoop a floatsam with another 5k gold from a Brig that sunk next to my new base(and 7k Iron wood)... lucky me. Well farming so far in the neighbour grids for missing resources was nice. Will see now if the marked gives me everything and i don't need to sail anymore. Don't be that rude... farming is 2x so we are already lucky xD Also I think i don't need Rhino, Elephant or Giraffe so time safed.
  2. on EU servers there where no issues. But they restarted the servers 10 hours ago for maintanance.
  3. @Chucksteak you are totaly right with your opinion because you know yourself and you are trustworthy. But the truth is also that lots of second Accounts are out there to bring spys in other companys and also to delete stuff of the inflitrated enemy. So this is most likely the biggest fear of a mega tribe to get insided and loose ships by scattling or droped gold of the flag or dropped BPs etc. There is no way you can trust new players you invite because this insiders are all around. Even a company of 20 players is infiltrated most likeley already. You may don't understand this and I myself don't too. I've one account like many others and I try to play fair. But even if 80-90% of the players do so it does not matter compared to the black sheep. Invite new players is alwas a risk as well as merging companys. Sometimes it pays off... sometimes not. I once played with 10 players and we got 4 settlers on our second island. Everything went well until their leader discovered that his white cat died(on PvP)... He deleted everything... we invited the other 3 players that got doomed by him. After that this guy tried to crash our harbor gate with 50 rafts over 10 days which costs us about 10k cannon shots^^ You have to deal with those players and you don't want them in your company. Also the rank setting system is a huge pain in the A*s. This should be on the devs list like so many other points.
  4. You should at least tell us which server do you play? Is it official? I guess PVE? Maybe it's a connection issue from your side like Time Out failure or PrimalGameData_BP frozen loading screen?
  5. 2. I think Devs intended that the larger islands and more resources and short distance would get the Megas there with 24/7 combat. But they are prooved wrong because Megas enjoy peactime as well. The Megas had to adjust to the less good islands to claim with good harbor bays and decend resources. There are lots of claimable islands that where useless on Maelstorm until added armored docks. 3. You can feed and pay NPCs on lawless with a silo. You do not need the flag therefore. Also costs are decreased heavily compared to Season 3 for example. So you could build a PvP base on a lawless pillar(mountain) which is pretty safe from the 1-5 players groups looking around for offline raiding. But you can't protect your warehouse and farmhouses from being destroyed every couple days. So yes, Megas could go Lawless but they don't need to and stay with the safe peacetime. Only issue of this map design ist that Sea Battle focus is turned to GA and all the high level ships pass by the lawless where small players want to start. The Devs should play the game and visit the different servers and islands, make some pictures of how players build the islands to protect themselfes. Even better would be if the Devs would speak ingame to the Island owners to ask them why they do things. 1-2 weeks like this and Devs may get a plan how to improve the game. I just settled on a lawless island with 4 types of Metall you can farm there! Is this still a bug from the Maelstorm map adjustmend?
  6. @CandymanMaybe it's an issue with WLAN connection? Try to use a VPN service. Thats the only way i can play official servers. When you activate the VPN your PC Windows internet connection symbol changes to connection via wire. Usually you get the time out failure or you are stuck on the PrimalGameData_BP loading screen forever.

The green list is very short^^ And i don't agree to the green points as well. (But remove gold costs for ships...) Very little PvE and a heavy focus on PvP -> make everybody offline that Chukiki can raid them
  8. I saw a Majestic Kraken yesterday on the PVE server. It had 3 medium speed sails - WTF! So it maybe get only 2 large sails? the double gun ports have 7,5k HP. The lower rear and front 10k and the front and rear castle have 15k HP. I think the HP are to low to compare it with a Brig. It has lots of cannons Broadside but HP are more like a shooner or even worse? I don't think it can have a place on PvP... Well you would need to know the Speed of this ship and how it's weight is affecting that. Can you place diving attachment or cargos? Yes the time to prepare and settle up to get a mystic galleon can be pretty long. Mega tribes may need only 1-2 weeks. For a solo it can take easy 3 month on PVE... on PvP you would get wiped before.^^ So I excluded the farming time as it is different. Trade Routes may help now but they work only to a distance of two grids.
  9. Nope, you are wrong for PvP Chukiki. PvP reduces the tax from what the settler is gathering settler 70% owner gets 30% On PVE it is actually 130% as you have written. But i think farmhouse does not count... who gathers still by hand? Chuck don't be sad about. PvP is still evil.

    you can be pretty sure they count everbody who logs in. In season 3 Xbox was added and i guess sold about 10-20k times. 90% of players i know that used xbox switched to PC. Xbox one cant handle this game. But for Xbox this game is awesome... compared to other shooter games where you move to a cover and shoot over it...repeat... repeat.... repeat...
  12. @PHaRTnONu thank you for this statement to this very important PvP points. When i read this Dev Post i think they just took Chukikis last post in this forum with lots of bullshit points. Maybe on Discord there are the same guys like him complaining about things that are no issue... Why the hell there is a need in increased cannonball speed? Yes, cannons that protect your harbor entrance can miss 100% of their shots if a fast ship crosses or drives straight because of a bad auto aim functionality for NPCs. That's no issue of the cannonball speed. Also ship fights are great. The meta is broadside cannons - perfect. It should be difficult to chase another ship that trys to escape! Your own ship is to slow so you may need forward chace cannons with increasd range? I say NO. With Gally you can't dodge... if you stop the enemy gets in front of you in most cases. So this is only important for Brigs (and Shooner) with handling sails. Those ships are meant to be more agile and depend on a playstyle where you can avoid the broadside of the galleon. Yes you can dodge some shots but the enemy can predict this. You can also bait an enemy to think you may stop. If balls are faster you will never miss due to worse aim... that's all... great for the one with the better ship and better repair team. Youtube: Don Vidal -> have a look on his battles with the Brig Playboy vs Gummibaeren or Omerta. This are great battles in my opinion. The enemy make great moves to escape and doge the Gally several times - even the lvl 60 Myst Brig Playboy is barely capable of getting the sails of Omerta gally down. I see no issue in cannon ball speed in this battles. Also very good job from Omerta with sails repair, they where really close to escape there at some points. The issue I see is one Gummibaeren Brig that is loosing sail, NPC, captain and steering wheel from one catapult barrel shot. Don't know how complicated that shot was but the damage is done. So I see more rear cannons + every ship with rear catapult for barrel compared to season 3/4 Meta. Gummis defended themselves with rear barrel too but missed their shots. Well island defending is based on numbers of players. If a 20 people attack with 5 cannon horse or now catapult barrels strikes your 5 crew island you settled only for 2 weeks you are wiped in 1-2 hours. If you attack 30-50 players main island after 2-3 month in the game it is a massive war that takes days to win.(see videos from decoyy regarding this). Only pretty safe place is building base on the highest pillar. Ships are not safe if you do not have one of the best islands and massive structure spam or you have the numbers to defend 50-100 players. Ships can be easy sunk by one cannon tame getting close to it... more often in a safed habor than actually a harbor run attack or Dragons. Puckles are useless(out ranged by cannons) but still a time sink for attackers. They can protect high pillars of course.(if you know how to place them due to bug when shooting down standing on a celing) Well lawless claim we will see how this works. Maybe better than nothing but it can be captured. At least some more protection but if you are offline you loose all, even your armored dock? LOL! Why do you spend gold then? XP is a very weird topic. There should be some long term progress RPG. Currently you need the 120 level as solo Player to get nearly all skills. As Company Player you can split jobs but in the end everybody wants to do everything of course. If you reduce available skill points you hurt solos(who don't get to level 120). Reskill is possible every level up for free or with gold on freeport. Ok but sometimes a time sink of 20-30 minutes. So on the one hand you have good MMO expirience in a starting group where you have to choose your skills in different areas to get faster to the endgame content like carabine or large ships, farm/warehouse etc. Bosses should give huge XP if defeded but as seen it can't be "abused" by large companys with easy access and doing this several times in a row(besides the shared XP bug at Yeti) The discovery points currently limit the max level but again megas have advantage here too. So if changed we need more easy access to the crafting skills for structures, ships, weapons and cannon while keeping some skills important to achive in a long term playing. Like some buffs that increase weapon handling by 5-10% or the captain skills skaling with your time spend on sea. Also important to reduce the max health and stamina from 300 maybe to 200. Tames get less important so that skill tree can be reduced.

    I did reinstall the game and played now 7 hours on PVE official. Build sloop on lawless, collected some honey and tamed 3 bears... the no1 & 2 disapeared over night... nothing in the log. I leveled up to 32. Now driving around searching for a place to build. You are lucky if you managed to claim 4 islands for yourself on this server and getting all warehouse spots as Solo Player? You belong to the top 1% of the server regarding your income then. George explained that he is still learning the game without help from expirienced players and he does not learn the fast PvP way. I myself try to figure out in no hardcore mode how to get going with gold cost on ships starting with 0. I want to test the trading system and actual warhouse and famrhouse performance. If you have 4 islands you may have a spot for me to build? 1x warehouse, 2-3 farms?
  14. you should consider this as a bug the devs did not test before adding this to the live server(which is a alpha test environment) You may send in a bug report. For now you should consider to place puckles or swivels as defence that enemy can't get into the dock with melee weapon.

    Well George is barely getting the gold for a Brig again, how is he supposed to get a Galleon? He may needs some trick to increase his number of trade routes? Sry, did not test that myself yet so don't know how that works. Never thought about the reverse speed increase using it for getting the SotD loot with gally... sounds great to safe that much time there. I would always prefer the Brig over the gally in the view of a solo player. But i would also build kiting design for leveling and to avoid most damage. Also you can turn a gally more fast with handling sails if you fast open and close sails between ~30-70% or if you hold i think W(or S) and space together when speed is 0 while turning in one direction. The sails will fully open while you don't move forward and you turn a little faster. But remember that your sails are open and you go forward if you stop holding the buttons xD
  16. @NoobieDooz thanks for your answer. I just installed game again to test PVE trading myself after 2k hours in PvP. So it's not possible to have trading routes with distance >3 grids? Devs Q&A mentioned that trades are calculated on a separate server to allow server interaction. I thought now you get easy access to all types of resources for mystic blue prints without the need of a transport ship and traveling yourself. In Season 3 it was a lot of work to farm those resources and spending hours and days with the slow transport gally with 4-5 cargos.(in 20% of your PvP journey you got sunk as well or had to drop the cargos)
  17. again you are right but it is a good feature in regards to balance sea battles. If you follow an other ship and it does not slow down while shooting on you while you can't shoot forward there wouldn't be a point in following others. Also as George mentioned it works in PvP. Most players use gunport cannons to be faster than heavy rear facing build. Only for ship leveling and BP hunt you play the "kite" design besides Speed Sail shooners with bar shots.
  18. This Q&A turns out to be the first one that could be some kind of a new roadmap looking in the future with things that will happen. no factions are planned at all. Players have to organize this themselves in a MMO sandbox(kind of difficult) but maybe a good decission.(for PvP) Claiming remains difficult if the solution has to be working on PVE and PvP. Maybe there should be different solutions? Let's see what the Devs will come up with. On PVE there shouldn't be claimable islands as most players are split up in very small companys. Hopefully the Devs find some balance between offline protection, claimable area and depending on this structure limits that are necessary right now for protection of ships and bases. Resource Box interaction improved - Hell Yes!! Looking forward to the new ships and 1 year of balancing. Maybe you show the construction points before you stand on the ship with some parts/sails in your hands? Ship building in the shipyard should show the construction and sail points. Sails should show the required space too. So far ramming sloop is useless and the Kraken well... it has a nice Kraken cosmetic. I wonder how you can customize with prebuild sections? Make the lower hull one part? Only make the gun port places adjustable? Would reduce the structure amount. Gold, farmhouse, warehouse, resources. Why not allow 1 per company per island and have one farmhouse covering the hole island collecting all resourses there. We don't need all that prefab buildings. We need simple access also for solos to the trade system = more warehouse per island in total. Give the farmhouse an interface to set production priorities or even stopp collecting specific resources. Let it only connect to the warehouse of the same tribe. Gold sink in Season 3 was insane... my tribe was 2/3 of 7 days a week busy to collect gold to keep the islands and the NPCs(PvP). You spend a hole weekend day whale hunting with a Brig as a shooner could not carry the weight of 20k gold. Now on PvP megas raid with 5 Dragons while small companys barely get a shooner. I just tested the new weight of resources and it feels weird... carry the same amount of gem and crystal like fibre? *Warehouse loot drop should be fixed to drop all because Mega Tribes need to loot Lawless Warehouses of course* (ironie of) Loot improvements are necessary and a long term bug that should be fixed soon. May consider to reduce the power a little while making it less costing to get them? Well at least we now know that we will play an unblanced game in alpha testing status the next year. Everything can and will change. We will have bugs and exploits a lot... release maybe 2023? At least they have working a very small team on it. Besides holiday cosmetics which most don't care about just work on the game please. Improve and fix. Let us know something about you, the devs. Don't be quiet all the time and let us fish in the dark.
  19. Hi George, regarding the topic of changing the aiming i disagree. I don't want RNG like in World of Warships/Tanks where you miss when you aim properly. Also this aim is used when shooting on land targets etc while you have to compensate with the wave movement of the ship. It's working fine. Some say the cannonballs are too slow but i think their speed is good because if they are faster everybody would always hit. Bots would not miss either with auto aim. Your issue is that your build is not good in this situation. You could shoot with auto fire which is pretty close to what you think of. You could also group your cannons in two parts and don't use them all at once(more difficult to use). This aiming allows bar shot aiming as well. Also it's working good with the fast shot skills. Maybe it would be nice if you could alter the aiming from standard parallel to a focused manual aim where the small cannons turn together. The SotD maneuver which is good. You have to watch them to make sure you hit them or shot at the right moment.
  20. if you are the admin and owner of your tribe you can make different groups in your tribe with access level 1-9. Common is everybody has highest level 9. If you choose to do so you will face the issue that you have to adjust the level of every door, every chest or workbench or ship or bed or... everything. If you do so you can place a pin for access which only works for people who know the pin and have no restriced access from company settings.
  21. Well tickets get this return as standard. You may will not get any help from admins. Obviously the other tribe thinks this area is their teritory and they don't want you around. You can't do anything against this. Your only option is now to speak to them and get to a solution if possible. If not you are doomed. You can try to use graple hook to pull your tames out if you skill yourself all in weight but you can't hook enemy structures to climb them. This is a big game bug for PVE. Only soultion is to spam structures around your base before getting traped.
  22. So you want to test if trading with yourself over a long distance is giving you an increased benefit in gold earned? Keep us updated if this is possible. Beside that, it's very good if some tribes own several islands all over the map and trade with themselves while others can't get a spot for a warhouse.
  23. well those players get trolled by others limiting them in their expiriece which leads to well better no others nearby mindset. Only solution is to fence them out. Why they are so toxic about a simple question for a treasure map.... who knows... single player is still buged so.... But you read the other storys about trapped ships etc because of toxic players all around. Well PVE is tuff because of lot's of players who do not want others to have fun playing a game and just be nice to each other. I installed game again and test PVE... well if i get my sloop to a shore i place fence below it... just in case xD

    they are working on a new map and focus on new ships. I think the next wipe is not that close. Actually there are not much information about the majestic kraken out there. Looks like the gold is ready(for megas) but the 75 squid legs are some stupid requirement that may gets changed(soon).
