  1. Can't upload my 700kb screenshots to bug forums lol. So much for the 10 or more bug reports i was going to do (devs job)
  2. 2. The reality: People who spent 1000 hours breeding can have a safe spot to leave their breeder tame 3. don't think i've seen an aimbot but i've seen tons of other shit 4. Having difficulty with emergency ladders is explained as lore i think... they poked fun at this by making it "easier to climb emergency ladders" in a patchfix heh
  3. why do you say it's a logarithmic time investment and not an exponential one? also they can't implement any of these.. you need to be able to kill tames. they already have that weird baby invulnerability mechanic thing
  4. oh jeeze it said starved? sorry yeah that's a weird bug
  5. I mean... in a lot of ways bigger is better. It takes people longer to get to your base, or to sail around the island. More room for defenses. I think the problem is less the "megas" and more that most of the megas are just like, very uneducated, childish, degenerate and probably psychopathic/sociopathic people. It's that lowest common denominator thing. Like it's very rare that I see any group of people actually banding together for any kind of higher purpose or.. to do anything cool really. Usually you just see a band of scumbags like griefing smaller groups and recording it for the very mediocre amount of views/likes on streaming sites or for kicks. PvP is supposed to be a balancing mechanic... not a griefing one. Like you want an island? You can conquer it.. Someone is blocking spawns? You can blow them up. You have a disagreement? You can fight each other. Someones training stuff on your tames? Shoot em.... What's sad though is with all these big companies, with multiple proxies (and god knows how many accounts - sad) and tons of islands captured... not ONCE have i seen a player city in pvp. It's not that megas are inherently bad.. it's just that..the player base in them is. I'd still love to see a mega have a city i could dock at and buy some grog and barfight someone like a g'damn pirate. Instead it's all just trolls. That doesn't make a niche game, it makes a dead game.
  6. There is absolutely no way you have 300 hours, in fact i'd double down on perhaps saying you may have not even seen much of atlas outside of a wiki or some videos. Here are some glaring fucking inaccuracies in your half-baked analysis: 1. It's mythical gear. It requires a skill to use. It's no different than any other rpg, in the history of fucking games, p&p, rpgs, etc. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether you can craft it or not. Nobody has said it takes you being a tailor to wear it. It requires Advanced Armor studies. 2. Grills create warmth. Why don't you go out in the real world, go out in sub-zero weather, turn a grill, and while in your underwear huddle by it, and just, stand there. Do it for a couple hours... better yet, all night. 3. You're a blatant fucking liar. Mages are not wearing platemail, or any of the other shit you are talking about. You know absolutely nothing about D&D, and are completely full of shit. 4. There is a bug forum, it is readily accessible on the main page, and has been linked to you by a moderator.
  7. Umm nah it's pretty balanced. 2 or 3 thousand hours in pvp soloing now. Grills definitely generate warmth. I don't agree with anything you've said, you contradict yourself consistently, and are either too much of a troll, or mentally... ahem... to answer a question with a straight answer
  8. NPC's are no longer sitting flush on the planks when you man the sails. THey float maybe a half foot or a foot above the plank.
  9. as you render the creatures in, you'll see the cart like far as hell away floating in the distance, then it's like the game realizes it should be next to the creature, and you'll see the ropes extend from the creatures, like.. hundres of feet away ..to the cart, then it kind of snaps over to the creature. Sometimes you'll just see the cart floating off in the distance. **also, if you claim someone elses tame, and they have their container on the back.. ownership doesn't transfer over. it gets really buggy, still shows on the back if you smash it, even after smashing and removing saddle the graphics still show half the cart there.. etc.
  10. lost tames on a boat as well. The craziest part is if your tame looks like it's falling on the deck, and you hop on it, you'll actually desynch with the server. if you hop off, the tame will vanished somewhere a mile or so back from where you were sailing, and you'll be in this weird desynch state where you can swim through zonelines, can't drown, etc. also pretty far back in the zone
  11. i couldnt help but think this was funny. couldn't you just blast through everything with a cannon?
  12. welp, just because you don't like the skill tree, that doesn't mean it's a bug dude. and since i love feeding trolls, exactly what pen and paper rpg are you playing that has gear without stat, class, race, or skill requirements? lol
  13. confirmed: just had a sloop vanish, sunk, shown on map..nothing in log. no destroyed, no plank loss, just a bed removal thing in log. so did the ship sink? or not. you said you bed over and the supplies were there? or are you saying you salvaged the supplies from the sunken boat
  14. never heard of anything like this... i think the best bet is just taming high levels and praying they got a good stat roll.. or buying a nice one from someone. if you find what you said to be the case, that'd be really cool. let us know.
  15. wait what? didn't they just release more content.. like yesterday or the day before
  16. Yeah so to the guy posting stupid numbers, We are at about the same #'s now as in last september. the population fluctuates, you see a couple thousand more average, a couple thousand less. just chill out.. definitely plenty of people and speaking from experience the pops are up int he last week or so. zones been really busy at least in primetime. i do agree though i'd like them to stop dumbing things down, like the "ship direction" thing on the map... it's lame
  17. i've been tilling mine recently after a raid on my farmshack just to fill the trough back up. what's that have to do with things? yeah i agree though, the common denominator thing. I mean.. come on, having to actually use your brain for 3 seconds by pulling out compass, or do a small minigame looking in the sky.. why would dev time even be used on this just to make content obsolete?
  18. yeah so he isn't new, he's trolling and trying to report things that aren't bugs. looks like we nailed it.
  19. don't think he's new, but go ahead, ask him what type of "coat" someone gave him
  20. imo genesis was kind of.. meh. they've kind of thrown balance and fun out the window for at least 2 dlc now, not good for pvp. the new patch for atlas is good though, got fire bolts for the ballista.
  21. Ok man thanks for clearing that up. Good on the devs for starting to ban some peeps. I also heard of some people "leaving for..." and honestly I think some of it is a big excuse.. I wont name names but a big company i think we all know of recently just "quit", claiming then won "s3" when in reality their members were... reduced.. for whatever reason.. In reality they lost a lot of fights, lost some proxys, and then tried to save face by scuttling their own boats. That other game i wont mention isn't even live right now so .. lol. Servers were shutdown and i think aren't up for another 4 days or so, until back up for pre-alpha
  22. I was just thinking, wouldn't it make sense to only enable this when the sextant buff is active? Isn't this kind of OP as is, and doesn't it make sextant somewhat obsolete. I like that you guys put an option button to disable it, but yeah. Kind of makes the compass obselete, if you don't need it on a boat? Was there something difficult about pulling out your compass for a second to check your direction? lol
  23. you don't really see them (torpedos) used much but the new change letting npcs fire them kind of stinks flame arrows did need a buff though they were nerfed hard to the point of not being useful for anything but lighting oil so that's good
