Hah. My island has one of those pillars. Also yes the ship combat should be the focus and is probably the most fun part. The first time I took my friend out on my gally and we got into a fight he started screaming screams of joy haha. Just need some balancing, and new ship types (somehow) or upgrades for them.

Because some person got skills and gear from completing the game basically, you're saying 2x is not needed by anybody else to play the game in order to get those skills? Can we just borrow your skills and gear? I don't really understand how that makes sense, seems the telling part of that argument is the "people just got used to", and some people don't care about 2x because they're above it somehow. Go through the motions, or just let the devs know that the game is a bit of a grind which can have certain effects on people and their enjoyment of the game, with the aim of avoiding going through motions. edit: I would like more breeding events, and for the breeding to be seriously looked at. Only twice I've breed animals besides crows and parrots, and it was during the breeding events. That is not because I don't find the game fun and I just had the realisation that I was just going through the motions, so I'm going to have to just make do. I'm not going to sit there and do the copy pasted from ark 8hours 'til juve elephant/rex breeding. It's just not a healthy activity for humans, should be changed, and has been promised that it would be changed. I cant believe the breeding is a copy/paste and unhealthy still actually.

Is this really helping? Ok.... but you just stated that you're excited to see a wipe. What things are decaying? Not sub 45 pt islands? Those "clans" put in lots of effort to get those islands, and to keep them. Why do you think they have them? Seems you want a sub 45 pt island but can't find one. There is only a few islands worth owning in the game. I own a 15 pt island, and a 56 pt island. They are both shit. I can't get a good island, and i'm not a crybaby xbob supporter like some people appear to be, I actually joined the server about 3 hours after it went live, but I still find it easy to get anything I want, even though I don't have a 45 pt island worth owning, and play the game how I want, have fun and not grief others. I just don't own an island that is actually worth owning, a island that has rare mats and is a good spot for treasure seekers. I only own them because they look nice, get a few treasure seekers and have one rare mat which isn't in abundance so I don't really farm it. Otherwise, lawless is the best. Nothing wrong with lawless really, except the trees that grow through your floors if you pick a bad spot to build. Nothing wrong besides the numbskulls who spam your base out of frustration at not being able to see that the game probably needs more sub 45 pt islands, and more islands worth owning.

I enjoy playing atlas, I start writing about why and then hours later I have to delete the whole thing because I'm not sure I can make a post within reasonable time that details why. There really is so many things that are enjoyable about the game. Things like the ocean, weather effects, sounds, cuteness of baby bears, do indeed show talent and passion from the team. These things that we can see the passion in, they nearly spoil us, and can nearly make it so that nothing else is ever good enough. I'm not really sure why it is that it appears that you should feel guilty for playing the game, the criticisms are mostly pvp balance, lack of content and player count. I think it's just the vibe. If there is still people enjoying the game for the same reasons that they started to enjoy it for, then surely there has always been a good game there to play, and it's just some people don't happen to play/somehow give you that vibe. I also enjoy reading posts about atlas. I started playing in December, and have only taken a break for a few weeks before the wipe. I kept playing PVP for a few weeks after the wipe, and then due to time concerns (and balancing) I started playing solo PVE so that I could do the content and roleplay while making my own missions. I am about 75% of the way through the missions that I had set for myself, have nearly all the quests done, so also getting there with the content. I enjoyed getting the 4 powerstones I have so far, building all the ships, taming all the animals. most of the time that was spent sailing around for 1000s of hours on missions. Things that I enjoy about atlas: - sailing* - the atmosphere and game world - anything to do with ships, mostly the building and combat, but i do like diving for treasure and stuff that makes me feel like its a real ship - pirate rp'ing (I need to go replay Secret of Monkey Island very soon. Hehe) - trading and breeding animals - building bases and pirate hideaways - trading, hoarding and grinding rare mats - treasure!! - making missions for myself and exploring, while pondering about the possible game story, balance and content that could be added, as I do all of the above *there does become a point where it gets tedious, but this game nearly is actually able to be a microsoft flight simulator, and sailing can be fun just for the simulation factor. I would really like to see the sailing logistics stay how they are but also become not tedious. Just need more things to do while sailing maybe. At the moment, I just do maintenance, as I can't commit to breeding more animals, and I've got quite a bit of maintenance to do. I still enjoy the maintenance, however, running around farming meat and sailing around for gold while meeting people is fun. The game just needs to be worked on further is all, that's why I enjoy atlas really.

No. We've heard it all before, and you just contradict yourself, derail the discussions, etc. I guess that makes sense, and explains your behaviour, that you think that you know things that the devs don't even know, yet they're the only ones who can possibly know, so you take it upon yourself to tell them what they are thinking and going to do. Not sure why anybody should tolerate that. They dont need to wipe, unless it makes sense. Have you heard anything from the devs saying that they need to? So far, they've said it makes sense to avoid a wipe if possible. The counter to your argument just by the way is that if there is only 150 people then why do we need to even ask why?

You're not making sense. You reply to someone asking you to try to explain further what you mean by "forever", because it seems like you don't know what you are talking about when you then say that everything is gone every few months, which is not forever. You said things will stay with you forever, for a month, for whatever, seems you don't really know what your preference is, or how to make a consistent argument/make sense at all. All good. Continue on with your preference for wiping things that stay forever so you can get your candy like a crying baby as my man @boomervoncannon says. Have you seen the thread on reddit from a week and a half ago, where a person posted the work they did in the devkit, that contains speed sail fix? Dollie responded, saying it doesn't take long to make these types of changes, and that they're looking into it, and it doesn't take months, 3 months later. I've noticed that there has been patch notes for the PTR posted recently on these forums, after it was pointed out that the patch notes were linked to a twitter post about a discord link, and not on the actual forums, and also that the links didn't work. So, they are trying, I guess.

I am PVE atm, as PVP became silly for me. FYI. You don't need to buy other people's breeds if you tame. You quoted someone who gave explanation as to why saying that going from 0-100 is easy is a silly thing to say. You haven't convinced anybody here that its not a silly thing to say, but we are all impressed by your knowledge and dedication to grind two chars to lvl 100 I know what mutations are, I was asking why don't you sell them? I know what tames are too, and the effect on game play with being able to sell them. It seems that you are saying that your tames are the best and if everybody gets them, you would ruin the game? Do you not trade them now? Many PVE people like to trade because they can get the best tames that way. Why would you breed these animals in the first place, if you're wanting to get them wiped? To give other people the same chance to breed animals and then get them wiped because some other people are new to the game?

You confuse me. You just saying now that the devs are trying to launch without a wipe, what is their reason for that? Do you think the reason might be anything related to fairness?
