  1. That would be nice if it was my decision... But you will do what everyone else is doing... wipe or get wiped... And yes, that means xbox numbers will drop like pc numbers did... Unfortunately it is by game design... and it seems the decision makers don't want or know how to change this... But if you really, really want to help... give us your in game position daily, so we all get in line to wipe you, leaving everyone a higher chance to not get wiped so often... Come on, take one for the team...!
  2. Well instead of fixing the broken PVP, that sinks ships and wipes bases while offline, they thought it was a good idea just to permanently raise rates to 2x flat early on... So you still loose your stuff to the game imbalance, but you can replace it 2x faster... or just leave the game anyway, as most did. And no 4x or 6x will bring them back... because rates are not the problem... Anyway, since then normal rates are 2x always.
  3. It is the norm since like the second month of release... They already buffed it then because of the offline anchored ship sinking going on... The magic mythos is two times that... The higher the buff the more worthless the stuff to actually play the game for... Could just give admin rights to everyone and be done with it...
  4. People are not leaving because of the claim system... But because of the PVP imbalance causing only wipes and sinking, and the lack of PVP in PVE... But as you are the only one here that does not, because cannot, know the state of the game... you are just pushing solution to your fears... Realist cannot own an islands... get rid of claims... Realist as a solo cannot maintain his yuge ARK base, because of gold... get rid of gold... Realist cannot play with other in a dynamic player diplomacy... make factions so atleast some cannot KOS him, although everyone wants do at this point of the conversation with him... Realist cannot compete with his toy against PC periphery... remove PC from 'his' game...

  6. The problem is that the initial game concept (not what was promoted) failed spectacular. Not the bugs, not the performance - we are grown-up ARK players and been there done that... After the concept with the claim system failed, they did not know what to do... completely lost and open to any idea... So they asked for advice from the streamers and large corps - they could bring in more customers and would stop complaining in streams... Obviously not the best advice, we got a broken land PVP out of it, which is still killing the player base, even after the claim change and peace timers... After that it was back to the roots - lets make Atlas more ARK and bring in more tames every patch so people might like it, it worked for ARK - unfortunately the ARK players in Atlas are not here for the tames... So the concept failed, the claim system failed, doing what the influencers told them to do for them failed, ARKifying failed, maybe the XBOX release may not fail? Looks like they are so scared now that they don't do anything in fear of making the next obvious mistake... So we remaining players can scream as loud as we want, what is wrong with the game and what could fix/better it. They have no idea what to do and fear outside ideas could again back fire, so better not do anything, can not do anything wrong... No wipe will help, no new unwanted OP tame will... Fix the land PVP would fix most of their player base and performance problems (cant help PVE, because this is not a PVE game and never can be). If land PVP would be balanced and tames not overkill OP, players stuff would be "saver" and not need 50.000 structure that still not help, apart from generating "defensive lag"... If stuff would be save, ships would be used more in sea PVP, because they are not always and easy sunk while offline... Think about the patch to put claim flags on sea level... Guess it was an idea by some streaming Offline-Raider friend of the company, complaining he cannot raid the mountain bases at his convenience - the only thing that seems to work somewhat as a defense... thank the G.O.D. the screams from the actual player base were loud enough and scared them to not do it... as if they did not know that their land PVP was so damn broken, that they had to be told how stupid the flag change would have been WITHOUT FIRST MAKING CHANGES TO LAND PVP. My guess is the servers would be empty now if the flag change would have been implemented... so if the XBOX release will not help, the sea horse just might... not, meow!
  7. Could be a good promo for the game: "Atlas - the game your parents should not let you play!" It would be like any other prohibition, good for business, YARR !
  8. again, your stuff would be save in your base, if it would be on equal footing as the attacker... If a group comes by and has to loose many tames and equipment to overpower your defenses, would you be ok if they wipe you, as you had a chance to survive while they have lost more over all than they gained from destroying you...? would they even attack you if it was not worth it and the predicted cost too high...? that is a fair game... that is the point at which your stuff is relatively save... right now nothing is save... the cost of wiping you is near zero... your only real protection is for you to wipe the enemy first and out of the game never to return... may the last man standing please not forget to switch the server off, thank you! - signed your Devs you cannot compare Atlas to Rust... Atlas has long term contend for which the progress cannot be lost on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, because it takes longer than that to get the achievement... If you get put back on square one too easy all the time, with no solution against it, you loose out on most of the contend in the game... why continue to play? a question all that have left the game answered... so... FIX THE DAMN LAND PVP !
  9. So like Planetside... where holding land becomes meaningless...? Does not work with 90% of the other stuff you want to do in Atlas that needs relyable land support...
  10. BP have a average by quality and a standard deviation which is directly proportional to the average; higher average = bigger SD... Each value in a BP is ruled separately. If a value rules below the minimum of 100% it is set to 100%. For example damage has a SD so big that it is very likely that the final value goes below 100% even on a mythical...
  11. Wiping is the problem, yes, we all know that... But your QoL wishlist is not stopping it... People will still leave after a wipe... why bother taking out your tames and gold out of a bank to start over if you only get wiped again...? The problem is there is almost no means to protect your stuff against the OP cannon PC vs NPC, so no offline protection you can set up; the OP tames that make no sense but in ARK... If people would be able to build protection that actually work and not just cost many hours to build to get wasted in one. If attacking someone would cost equal or more than the defender. Than people could work towards a secured base, than people would not so often and easy attack such a base and just wipe it, than people would not “need“ a bank and leave anyway... If you can build a base that is actually able to be save from attack and you find out you did not a good job designing it, would you leave or try again from what you learned? If you find out there is no way to build such a base and you have no influence on loosing your base and stuff every time a bear cannon comes by, would you leave? Most do...
  12. You talking about foundation spam? In lawless? We given up on that - never used it really - because the goal is not to keep people off your island, but keep to flag, base and harbor secure. If someone wants to come to wipe us, foundation spam will not stop him... active defense will... structure defense alone just you time... And yes, I am with you, the small and medium size groups are more important than the one mega. They are the bigger part of the player base. But with current game mechanics they cannot survive against a bored mega. Also I am not too sure where you see that it ends in one mega alliance currently... the megas are dying in numbers so fast, that there strenght in numbers changes and therefore new alliances are formed all the time, when the megas can no longer give the protection to the smaller members and those smaller members looking for new sugar days or even becoming megas themself because they now have equal numbers suddenly... lot of flux currently, as the playerbase is dying, because the playerbase is no longer self sustaining... people are leaving now because too many have left already... the servers are circling the drain... I fear only XBox can change that or a wipe that puts multiple servers together to raise player levels per server to sustaining levels again...

It is pretty damn easy...: - you build your ship to your liking, put everything when it is empty cargo (so crew, needed ammo, repair mats, etc) but your good to go. - you check the current weight and check which ratio of speed to weight sails gives higher speed value. If you ships is to heavy for 6x Speed, exchange for a weight and be a little bit faster. - after your ship is ready and you need to haul cargo you put in a rack at about 4000units of weight you want to carry. You will be faster than with the cargo not in racks. - after you are done with the cargo you destroy the racks again it is that easy and no racks should not make you magically faster... the just make you fast than without them...

Sounds like the socialists commercials during the EU elections: "Because we love Europe we have to change it" Go to your wife/GF and tell here: "Honey, I love you, but not as you are" Now we are promised that more than one Realist exists, they are coming for us, and they all like Atlas, but not as it is intended... But maybe it is the same promise as that a Realist will never Crossplay... that did not age well aswell... So you are invited to come to our island... can breed and farm as you like, we got low taxes and always like more PVE guys around...

  16. Nope, no need for claimed, ship without PC just gives up, looses x stuff and gets the de-buffs. I would rather get rid of lawless and only have claimed islands, but I rather have people enjoying the game and not rage quit after login, because their ship is gone, again...
  17. Ok, did not get you wanted no raid timer with that. Well, i myself, am advocating for getting rud of the timer as well and make claimed islands always peace, but claim flag radius always raidable. Mainly so the little settler guy is mostly save, but also to get the structure count down - dont need to have everything structure protected anymore.

  19. - No, not really. It should solve multiple issues with the ship side of the game, which currently make people quit. 1) Offline sinking. Most ships dont sink in combat. People loose them befire they can use them, again and again until the no longer try to build new ones. And it dies not matter how fast you can solo a new one. Making them worthless does not keep people from quiting. But with the idea above there is still something in it for the offline raider, be it just a little. And he has to be the first, before there is a protection timer preventing continues looting. 2) For the guy just driving around minding his own business, he can just give up when chased, pay the pirate his fee and continue on. Sucks less than getting sunk. And again there is still something in it for the pirate. Makes for much needed interaction. 3) For the guy not giving up or being the pirate, well not so much changes. You can loose your ship and everything. 4) Finally alliws what was planned from the start by the devs. More likely that ships change hands. 5) Allows for the ships to again cost more to make making them more valueable for booth sides to keep and get. 6) Actually make it possible for people to live on and of the ship, no need for base, because your ship will be there tomorrow most likely. - Real age of sail combat resulted in the crew dieing, wounding, giving up. The weapon systems were made to kill the crew. They were not good at outright sinking the ship, and never fast. Cannonballs cannot make much below the waterline, where water could actually flood the ship. Currently a gally sinks when you destroy the top most plank 10m above the waterline... If you could start a fire on the other ship or hit the powder, yes that would make short work, still most likely by killing the crew. So the idea is that planks are like damage filters to the crew, sails, and maybe steering. Better planks transfer less damage to the crew. Damage crew looses ability to work 100%. Slower reloading, slower turning ship or sails, loosing speed. Under ideal conditions the victory will take out the crew and then decide if he keeps the ship or sinks it. But if the ships has taken damage before that could not be repaired befire the next combat, it gets more likely that it sinks before the crew is out. Gives also more tactical and strategic options. Take the ships off for longer time repairs or risk further damage and loss. That combined with the higher cost in replacing a complete ship (and adding respecs for ships) lowers the numbers of ships being mademad, bettering server performance (same as with the huge bases, because land defense is useless, and so causing too much lag - different problem). Makes ships more unique and not just throw away...
  20. Good idea... Every large company, Mega should have one, or many, so their stuff is protected... just need one body making a small company for the Mega-Vault, with pin codes... Way better than parking tames in Freeport... Not... Or even better idea: fix land PVP...

  22. - So just need more cannonballs on one plank, good that the target is not moving... And for 10x just one plank in damage I get all the loot and 75% of demo resources... Hope you anchor near metal and coal spawns... - so no land PVP? = no combat timer... - so you wake up to a stolen and no longer sunken ship... “big difference“
