  1. I still think they do their side projects fulltime. And then, from time to time, on leftover basis, couple of guys open ATLAS project for 2 hours, do something there, and then close it and only open it back after week or two. They just not interested.
  2. When we started it was amazing sea adventures with survival stuff. I mean all was glitchy, I lost around 7 of my first ships to just buggs and glitches, but anyway. That was gr8 survival experience. And we thought this will be IT!!! World where we will survive. Build. Defense. Supply. And then go explore. Search for hidden secrets, experience epic battles, face pirates and ancient evil! And then... Then all gone to easier and safer sandbox (like now I'm starting at tundra and building my first base runnin around naked. 2 years ago we had to spend nights inside temporary buildings with campfire near). Some weird content added (like dinos and magical torpedoes). No more need to survive - the bear-tame is the only we need (no armor, no weapons, no defense lines around our base). With lack of adventures content, devs made so we don't need to sail anywhere (we actually HAD to sail for saps to craft fur stuff for tundra, then all necessary resources were spread everywhere). Last season they dramatically decrease reward for all adventures, and then up basic stuff. With new leveling system our common ships got way stronger than mythic parts ships before. So we also stop hunting better blueprints (I down plenty of lvl-60 Damned Galleys with just common Brig). Right now they add automated resource and gold gathering, by creating some premade building. And I really don't understand WHAT ARE THEY DOING? Most players who stayed in the game during maelstrom were "happy farmers" and "the sims". I mean those who were building their grand palaces and breeding bears! If that's what DEVS want? They do want all sailing guys, pirates, adventurers out? They want happy farmers with their grand palaces and breeding technologies in? Then they have to make a statement. I really don't get what players should do with those trade routes... should they hunt another players tradeships and defend their own (for nothing in reward)? Should they capture and hold those trade points and fight for them? Was that an idea?
  3. Alright, so I've tried. Here is some thoughts as SOLO player. 1) - Found really great place to settle, built small base. 2) - Couldn't built a farmhouse, because all resourceful spaces around already covered by another players farmhouses (I mean I could set my windmill to the tiny island where there is not a single tree, not a bush or rock piece. But why should I do that?). 3) - No warehouses for me either. All island already covered by them as well. So... for solo player new "trading" season simply gonna be without any trading. It means - play old fashion way. The only difference is - we have to earn our first 5k gold - sailing sloop. With medium speed-sail it goes 10-12 knots downwind (and around 4-6 knots counter wind). Twice slow as schooner. So we need to do 10 knots travels for honey to tame bears for our first lvl 12 maps. Then same travels for tigers for 15+ maps. Do some maps for golds, at least twice as slow as before. Imagine we sail for 4 hours, and found a treasure spawn atop of high cliff? Those issues are still here. It will probably take couple of weeks. Only after that we finally go schooner, and then... for next couple months we do just treasure maps. Good thing here - it's possible that first Brigantine will be 200% quality. Bad thing - it's possible that it will NOT : )) (last season in 70 "15+" treasures I didn't get a single large shipyard blueprint). But anyway... all damned ship hunt, ghostship, kraken etc, will start after couple months of grinding. Before that - not a single better ship parts. And... yeah, loosing Brig means - couple more months for just treasure maps, before next Brigantine will arrive. I remember how unhappy I was to spend half of day to build another Brig after I loose one to yet another game glitch. Now it won't be a half day. It will be couple of months. So... I mean all cool, but before wipe game was "So many efforts, so little reward". Right now it also dramatically slowed down and alot of necessary grinding appeared. Are you sure you wanna things became this like? If I had all time in the world I would played this season. Unfortunatelly, I don't. I feel I just not ready to spend weeks, for forever sloop sailing (the sailing itself is not exciting adventure at the moment, and you offer me to spend more time in the empty ocean, from time to time slowly avoiding damned squads?) I just not ready for that. I'm guessing, alot of players will do their logout today and won't login in nearest future. Until another exiting major patch will come out. You worked so hard to introduce new feature in the game. Unfortunately you made it the way that a lot of players won't be able to try this new feature. And because of that - you'll loose players. Simple. Just one single message as my "feedback". We were chat with players today and a lot of players would like to see "auto run" button in the game.
  4. You know I've been thinking about that and I kinda like the idea that ship should be expensive and hard to get. Because I for thousand times saw huge monstrous bases with like 20-30 galleys around. And those galleys were all lvl-1 and never sail anywhere. So it's just ppl buliding their ships, paint em for art purposes, and then all goes glitchy and no one can moor to the shore. So I fine with that. Ppl should work hard to get their ship. Ppl should carefully consider ship design. And take a big care for their vessel. But! From the opposite side - ships also should be protected. From griefers, from looses to game glitches. FROM ONESHOT BARRELS in PVP. I mean It's OK to loose ship hitting the iceberg or put yourself in to battle against way stronger enemy. But when you cross and find yourself here... ...this is totally NOT OK. Oh and... yeah. About shipyard BPs. During maelstrom I dug around 70 high level (15+) maps. And didn't get a single better shipyard BP. I wish I would able to get a better ship, not just throw away hundreds of useless bps I've got. p.s. - When I first played a game, I got in to sea adventures by 7th ship. Before that I spent almost 2 months just building ships and then loosing them to all different types of glitches and once to freeport rapid decay.
  5. Right now - Brigantine is all you need to fight damned ships. You can add some extra guns in deck (I personally prefer 4 extra each side, so I do 10 cannon volley). And then hunt ANY damned ship by usual boardside fight (it's really fun, you should find right tactics to do so etc). Or you can just put 5-10 cannons to stern and simply do "kite-n-shoot" with no trouble. The biggest damned crowd I fought - is 11 damned ships in a row. Highest one - 2 damned brigs lvl-54 and lvl-56 and 2 galleys lvl-54 and lvl-60 at once. So what I wanna tell is... more ship types would be cool. But with current "free to build" system - we already got EVERYTHING we need. While ago I saw this ship passing by my island. (I really don't like "designs" like that but every games allows you to do "free building" turns to "screw all aesthetics and historical accuracy" and then "META" comes in).
  6. Alright here is the questions. 1) - Are there treasure maps, sunken treasure will still contain a gold? Because if not - all solo/duo/few companies will have to set their trade routes. 2) - Are there solo/duo/few companies will be able to set their trade routes? ------------------ The current situation is bad for our company. Because we were able to place a 0.25% rate windmill (0.25 because it's on the sharp slope, and we had to put huge 5x7 foundation underneath). But we are not able to place a warehouse. Because few companies in my island already place theirs and there is just no place to set my warehouse due to radius restrictions (+ addition windmill also unavailable, all my island covered by those as well). So no possible trade routes for us.
  7. I wish they would at least say to us - how many ppl working on the game, and how do they do in those hard pandemic times. Because for me it looks like 2.5 ppl working on the game on a leftover basis. Maybe they do ARK basically or even some side projects, and from time to time open Atlas project for couple of hours, do something with totally no enthusiasm, and then close it for next days, or even weeks...
  8. I... errrrr... just curious, are DEVs preparing something BIG, or we just back to 1 news + 1 small fix in couple months?
  9. I dunno maybe something changed, but when we first settled, alphas (they were in Lawless too) were real threat. We even chat within our island, to let every1 know where yet another alpha spotted, we were building our defense lines to keep our places safe, and went for help our neighbors if their bases were attacked. The game those times was real survival adventure! Right now - all wild life in PVE is a joke. No more alphas in Lawless, and if I travel, for example, to polar - I ride my bear or tiger to hunt them. Once I dealt with lvl80+ damned army and alpha yeti at once. It's just game turned from adventures to "happy farm" state. And someone want it to be even easier...
  10. You know, when EA of this game just started almost 2 years ago, there was a bug with forever loading on Primal Game Data. The only player could do is use Alt+F4 and start game again. Guess what? It's back!!!
  11. In PVE I often see about 5-6 ppl online. But my base in Tundra where bears live, and those who play "Happy Farm" often come for tames. And yeah. I'm currently waiting for further updates. In current state - PVE is THAT much efforts: And that little reward: So I guess right now those who came to the game for their grand palaces buildings and then breeding tames - are only happy players in the game. p.s. - Oh and... yeah. There will be "New World" game next spring... If nothing will change here, then most of players will go there (only building designers and breeders will stay).
  12. IMAO - storm should not be global. It should be a single local spot on the grid slowly moving thru. Sometimes it's deadly tornado in the center. And the only goal for players and NPC will be to avoid the zone at all costs. Or if you accidently got in, to, then, escape out. Huge waves should damage planks. If you stay wrong angle - waves can overturn your vessel. Strong wind - do some damage to full sails. Lightning should also damage masts. And tornado just destroy your ship, crew and you with debris. That's how it should work. And... well there should be some rewards for storm avoidance, storm escape and really unique rewards for survive tornado : ))
  13. I'm just wanna remind that next spring most of your player's base will leave to the new Amazon's project. Most of PVP players will definitely leave (I mean if there won't be worse way to do griefing than it's is here right now). Most of PVE players will be gone too. The only players will stay - are those who came here to play "The Sims", "Minecraft" and "Happy Farm" (those who do their grand palaces constructions and then breeding bears). So that's the time! Till late spring 2021. If you will turn the game to "playable" state, fix pvp and pve issues, get the game to real "seas adventures" state, players will stay. If not... then you'll probably will have to change all to more "Sims" and "Happy Farm" state and/or attach this one to ARK.
  14. Same with armor in PVE. This season my comrade spent like 6 weeks to craft and improve mythical armor. After that he got ONE SHOT kill from damned warrior. "So many efforts, so little reward" - that's what this game was always be.
  15. I've done lvl22 map solo with a Tiger - so it definitely good for PVE. (I really don't like that there is just no alternatives to tames right now and tames are in most stupid way like you order them to bite your enemy. If I would do the game, I would make "knight style" fight. Like you riding and hit your enemies with your weapon, or you have an animal that fight alongside)
  16. Spear bolts for underwater riffle is still there. But... errr... I hit manta ray with it, then approach to the dead body, grab it. Then spear bolt which was sticking out of it disappeared. And I've got message that I have 0 spear bolt added.
  17. Last time in Tundra we made "guest pier" for any1 who wanna visit our place. There was unlocked building there with grille, tannery, mortar and pestle, and some saps inside storage box. We even made a lights with lever (code was written near on sign) : )) Don't know if any1 actually used it, but we had to restock saps regular : ) (unfortunately right now Tundra not THAT deadly as if was before).
  18. As far as I checked - right now distance between warehouses got less than 500m. But anyway - some player placed his warehouse around 200m from my base, so I still keep my in storage box.
  19. Yyyyyeah... but... as far as I can see - it's 500m right now... At least I live in the island that around 2.1km x 1.4km and I see 3 warehouses around 500+ meters from eachother... (unfortunatelly one - is around 400m from my base and I can't build one).
  20. I agree. This +damage and +resistance in ship stats are huge mistake made by previous devs team. There are two issues I see: - It can not be balanced. - It leads to only "meta" option, and players should pick just a simple only right stats, or they loose. IMAO in order to bring new ships, and balance all, devs should: - Cancel +damage and +resistance in stats. - Cancel +sturdiness in planks and gunports. - Cancel +damage in cannons. - Cancel totally synchronized and 100% accurate shot. - Bring "classes" of ships. I already showed this twice, but I'll show it again: - All ship has their own cannon size. And yeah no more big/small ones. Instead - cannon with better damage and coulverines for better range. 6th class can carry 12 pound cannons with just 600 damage. 1st class - 42 pound with 2100 damage per shot. - 4 types of munition: Cannonballs for best range and average damage. Bombs - less range, more damage. Barshots - best range, and just sails damage. Shrapnel - really close range and damage the crew. - All ships within class different from eachother by speed, cargo carry weight, maneuverability, firepower and sturdiness. And ships within each class balanced to eachother (by balanced I mean any common ship can destroy any other common ship same class). Battles should last long enough (not just couple of volleys) And off course higher class - means more sturdiness, more firepower, etc. To make players wanna less hunting little guys - no reward for killing ship minus 2 lvl. - By pressing fire - ship should do a volley within like 3 seconds and cannonballs should land randomly in some wide area. There are also misfire chance and crits available. - Better quality BPs brings some stats that NOT GIVES any advantage in a fight, but they are still desirable. For planks, for example - faster repair speed, or less resources for maintenance. As for mythic ones - brings synergy with great unique buffs. By that I mean... well for example, if you get some sails from one set and then install ALL in your ship - you get active skill that allows you to sail full speed counterwing for like 3 (5?10?) seconds. And of course hostle players will see you ship name with unique mythic border, showing that you do have some "balls", and really dangerous. - Fraction could involve ppl to PVP. But I would make just 5... With current map, 4 fractions own their own biomes (1 - Tundra/Polar, 2 - Tropical, 3 - Equatorial/Desert, 4 - temperate), so players will have to go hostle territory for resources and tames. Also if you see some serious guys do ganking small ones - you can ask for help, and players from your fraction hear you call (I mean... if there are some ppl ready to fight. As we found recently - most players do just grand palaces building and breeding, but I would cancel all "Sims" and "Happy Farm" in this game). 5th fraction is a pirate one. It hostile to every1 even in PVE, it's hard (or even impossible) to find place to settle. it's unique and hardcore game style, but perhaps with unique rewards etc.
  21. Check if there any objects or door on decks below, around the sail placement spot. Last time I had the issue, it was just this door in ceiling.
  22. We can build a Brig with 8, 10, 12, 16 etc. cannons each side. The only issue is amount of crew it can carry. As for PVE - it sad, but to complete all, what sea brings - the current Brig is all we need. I mean I too wish to see much more vessel types, I even brought those 26 of them with pictures here: ...but for that, like hell a lot of rework and balance requires. I'm not very sure, if DEVs are about THE GAME of sailing romance, and wanna do it most amazing and perfect way. I mean... really! We've got some new stuff, some rebalances, reworking. The only thing being untouched since EA launch is current ships!
  23. If you saying about Galleon of Damned, then yes. They shoot in to one single spot. At the same time you shoot boardside cannons in to one straight line with no way to change that. Further more. All volleys are totally 100% synchronized. All cannonballs flies 100% accurate and parallel trajectory. And lands exactly where you sent them. I mean... all of that should be redone, because right now it doesn't feel like sailing romance. It's like we're in the middle of 80's and playing Atari 7800 in Arcade. Instead of current arcade shooting style it should be like that: - I press shoot. - My ship do a volley within 2-3 seconds (can be reduced by skills). - My cannonballs flies like 4 times faster then now, with lower and way more straight trajectory. - My cannonballs lands withing wide round area (can be reduced by skills). - There is also slight chance of misfire (can be reduced by better cannons, advanced grainy powder and skills) and even cannon explosion. Basically instead of this: It should go this: Same with all PVE NPC ships. Only then all battles will turn to more real life state. p.s. - Oh and yeah. BTW. Because right now cannonballs are flying very slow, damned ships can dodge them. I did alot of hunting recently and often meet this issue. It's like that. - Damned ship approaching my fire range area. - Because cannonballs speed is really slow - I aim and shoot ahead, so the moment my cannonballs arrive - damned ship will be there. - The moment I shoot - damned ship does instant stop : ))
  24. Y-y-y-y-ye-e-e-eah... right. How about warehouses? Is it OK so just 2-3 players per island able to build it in lawless (with 500 meters from eachother)? I can't build my because another player's warehouse is closer than 500 meters from my base.
