  1. We only try playing on unofficial servers. This has been an ongoing issue for me and my wife. We've given up trying to play Atlas because we both constantly get the "Host Pending Connection Timeout" message or "Unable to Query Server...". Every once in a great while after maybe 10 attempts trying to join many different servers, I'll get in but my wife can't. She has to keep trying different clusters until she can get in. Then, usually the next day, we can't reconnect without the error messages. It's been an ongoing issue for us since this game was released. I'm just so lost at this point. I keep seeing threads about others having this message, but no real solutions.
  2. Tried to get Crew today from Sotds but get the message does Not Want to be tamed right now. Only Happens to Crew from galleons And brigs abhöbe Level 20. And sometimes i can recruit Without Gold from schooners
  3. Hello everyone, yesterday we sailed a lot of grids and met a lot of different people. It was great However, we also had to find out that there are many new players and that they are often turned on in the chat stupidly. We need these new players and we should help them, explain things and support them. We have a very big Discord Channel with about 170 users + more networks we use. All these users are helpful and friendly. Both regions, EU and NA are represented. We would be happy if you would visit them and let us know your problems so that we can help you solve them.   4. Ahoy Pathfinders! With the new season, we have an updated Server Grid Editor (SGE) available for unofficial server owners. We wanted to ensure making a map was as easy as possible to all players, so we have added the ability to export and import server layouts. Players will be able to export/import grid layouts from season 10 or another personal layout they prefer. It should be noted that this feature and update is optional! To download the latest Server Grid Editor (SGE) click the the following link: SGE download Exporting Grids 1. Open up an instance of the SGE and load a project that you want to take grid layouts from. 2. Be sure to have ‘Show Server Data’ checked to see all the server coordinates 3. Go to the export tab and you’ll see new options with text fields above them: a. Export Server Json (this section will be covering this) b. Import Server Json (next section) 4. In the text field above ‘Export Server Json’ type in the server you want to export in alphanumeric format like A1 or M12 not the numerical coordinates such as (0,0) or (12,12) respectively. a. NOTE: you cannot bulk choose servers, it has to be one at a time. Do not try to use lists like A1,B2,C3 as it will not work. 5. Once the server you want to export is typed in click ‘Export Server Json’ and an explorer window will open 6. Save that file wherever you will find it and leave the syntax as its default (It will be something like: ServerGrid_B2) 7. Repeat steps 3-6 with all servers you are interested in exporting/importing. 8. NOTE: The data you are exporting will include Discovery Zones, Server Data and Island Data (instances, overrides and positioning). 9. Close this editor or File -> Open the project you are importing to. Importing Grids 1. Open up an instance of the SGE and load a project that you want to take grid layouts from. 2. Be sure to have ‘Show Server Data’ checked to see all the server coordinates. 3. Go to the export tab and you’ll see new options with text fields above them: a. Export Server Json (Previous section) b. Import Server Json (This section) 4. In the text field above ‘Import Server Json’ type in the server you want to overwrite with an export in alphanumeric format like A1 or M12 not the numerical coordinates such as (0,0) or (12,12) respectively. a. NOTE: Same as last time, you cannot bulk choose servers. It has to be one at a time. Do not try to use lists like A1,B2,C3 as it will not work. 5. Once the server you want to overwrite is typed in, click ‘Import Server Json’ and an explorer window will open. 6. Navigate and choose the “ServerGrid_Server.json” file you want to import and hit ‘Ok” 7. It will replace the layout and information of the Grid you entered in step 4. 8. Repeat steps 3-7 for all other grids. 9. Save your project. Final Note Again, we would like to emphasize that ATLAS is still in Early Access, meaning many things can and will likely continue to drastically change - even in the middle of development. Anything discussed is only up to date as of the moment it is posted. Features and changes that ultimately make it to the next patch, as well as timing, may be different from what was previously discussed.   5. Really hate the taming system in this game, I can't be the only one. Attempting to tame a elephant super small damn window to feed... failed a level 1!!!!!
  6. THIS IS NOT SUFFICIENT I do not want to play a game that requires me to farm distant metal nodes, in a predator infested environment, all f**king day. I do not want to WORK in my game more than I play. Still needs sap, which is not present in all regions. Still no explanation why the f**k you made this change in the first place! Why do you hate your playerbase? What kind of brainless idiot is directing these changes? MAKE THE GAME WE WANT TO PLAY, OR LOSE US COMPLETELY. Honestly, “just get f**ked” is how I think they feel about me as a gamer and a customer.
  7. When you develop a game it's not really about what the developers want in the end. It's about what's actually going to make a profit. Hence, what the majority of your customer base wants. So I can tell you first hand, we don't want more than 1 ghost ship per map, and it shouldn't come ANYWHERE near islands. I can also tell you first hand, we want the original Skill System back. All players should be limited to a single claim, per map, with a maximum of 3 total! If you want to see your game successful, then these changes need to happen today!
  8. I've been on most 24/7 since release aside from sleeping, but with the newest patches...I`m having a hard time wanting to log in. I feel obligated to my company to be there for them, but jeeze. I`m down to 2 hrs a day from 12. I see people dropping like flies, am I the only one? I started with the FoY been 100 for like a week, finally few others in the company got up to 90, so we went to get it. Needing to do naked runs 60+ times to get to the cave is ridiculous. the pple i was with got it, I was literally 10 steps away on the bridge when it winked out and asked me to insert key. rage-quit. I didn't even mind the stop motion film to get to the cave so much, and the hoard of Cyclops and Rock Golems at entrance are the players faults for luring there. I WOULD have no problem fighting the mobs, but not even remotely possible with the insane lag (i'm assuming from the 20 K ships 3 deep all around shore) Got over the rage and went to farm shit for our builders. just started a wall around base that isn't made of gates...that's what you want right? To not have 20 gates around each base? well, got the floors down for it...maybe 2 wide and 50 long, turns 90 deg and goes for another 30 long. How much metal and paste is it to put up a 2 tall wall on each side with a ceiling? want it to look good? how much for railings? other architectural detail? I gave up on it immediately when i saw the patch notes. looks like i'm keeping the horrendous looking gates up, not that it'll matter because there's only like 2 people on from our 30 man company everyday . Rip atlas. Unturned is better and it looks like a 4 yr old did the graphics.
  9. I don't get it. They make a sandbox, then they go out of their way to limit the player experience to narrow, miserable experience. Not everyone wants to run around all the time and grief people. Nor do the rest of us want to be a army of mindless zombie grinders, harvesting mats by hand to keep the griefers going. I've been playing on a RP server, trading in tames. Devs wanted to discourage people from taming and it's worked. Not taming anything else in this game. But it also leaves me little else to do. The three things I liked to do in Ark was build, explore and tame. My base is built (but was built by someone else as they don't like the way I build). Exploring isn't fun as you have to spend and hour or more sailing (though it's better now) just to jump off the boat and die if you actually try to explore the island you've reached. Or the island is completely built over. That left taming. I like the mechanics in Atlas far more than Ark. I like the fact you can't just pick up whatever you're trying to tame with and Argent or Quetz and drop it in a pen. I don't like the changes in v15. I never had the patience to tame a Bull and I don't like the fact that now Tigers, Elephants and Rhinos (what I was taming the most) are now worse than that. So I guess I quit as I have nothing in this game I actually want to do. Don't feel like griefing...er..."PVP" (play plenty of PVP games, just not open world ones). Don't feel like the lame boss fights (didn't do a single boss fight in Ark). It seems like the parts of Ark and of Atlas that I've like are an accident, not the gameplay intended by the Devs. And the devs have "learned from Ark" and are going out of their way to make discourage wider gameplay.
  10. Atlas is a very interesting game. It gives me a lot of pleasure to play it. But I don't want to lose a character because of his age (I mean the game development plans). It is not interesting for me to create a family in the game. I don't want to start from the first level after the death of the character because of his age.I don't think it's a good idea. To spend a lot of time on the game, and to start each time the game first after death of character beecause of his age.
  11. Atlas right now is split between two player bases. One player base comes directly from Ark, expecting Ark 2.0. The other player base comes from the trailer, expecting a pirate mmorpg experience. If the trailer is supposed to be a reflection of what the actual game is going to be about then there are many short and long term changes I would recommend to promote a pirate mmorpg experience. I'm aware that my lack of experience as a game developer makes it impossible for me to understand the difficulty of implementing changes, but I still hope you will look at what you can do within your limitations to make this the new pirate mmorpg that you advertised it would be. Short Reduce material costs of crafting everywhere, but especially on small/medium boats! Pirates are all about boats! If you want this game to be about being a pirate everyone needs a boat!!! These changes are very important for PVP SERVERS! note: End game ships are fine as is, and should take forever to build. Acquiring food shouldn't be difficult! This is really aimed at fish, since the fishing system is very restricted and not very robust. I am aware though that this is the hardest to fix, as it's not simply fine tuning a number. Food should also have more of an effect on starvation and vitamins. It should be easy not to starve or be vitamin deficient. The current system encourages just dying from starvation and respawning, because it's such a hassle to actually gather the correct food, and gathering it barely does anything. note: If you want to argue this is unrealistic, what's unrealistic is eating 60+ berries, carrots, grass and not being full or disgusted. Increase spawn of treasure maps, make the tutorial include where to find treasure maps. Treasure maps are the most interesting component of the game, with very high scarcity. Acquiring them should be easy, completing them should be hard, not the other way around! Make the journey challenging not the preparations. Long Introduce a new skill that allows you to identify and mark material nodes from a distance. note: This will allow players to identify islands they wish to land on, and ensure that each island visited will provide something beneficial and not be disappointing. Rework cooking, so well made food provides buffs! Cooking shouldn't focus on fulfilling survival needs, it should go above and beyond to make it useful late game. note: If you try to balance the vitamin and hunger systems around cooking you will restrict player choice immensely. I'm not fully aware what cooking does right now so this is a shot in the dark. There should only be 1 claim per company, company size should be restricted to 50 players, company size determines the size of the claim, governing a grid should be an alliance of companies, that determines rules together. It's incredibly important that companies, and governance act to increase player interaction and not decrease it, that's all I really want. Current system supports zerging and taking as many islands as possible. Cuts out new players and players interested in setting up late. Encourages everyone to join the biggest company. Very important for PVP SERVERS! In short the goal of these changes would be to reduce preparation time, and increase the amount of time people are actually out on adventures. Atlas needs to be complimented by the systems of ARK, but not defined by it for it to survive!
  12. If you guys want real results how about make all ships invulnerable after "x" amount of time anchored or owner offline. The timer would make sure you didn't hit and run and log to avoid retribution. Would eliminate the need for massive amounts of gates everywhere. Second import or use better building blocks. S+ for Ark was superior in every way to officials version. You could add in larger blocks 5x5 ceiling/walls/foundations etc. because well everyone builds big because you have to honeycomb to defend against....offline raiders oh and places to house your tames from ...offline raiders. Alpha spawns etc. With either of these options you reduce visual lag when loading grid and performance lag by reduced object counts. OR you could add parking in freeports 100% safe via gold costs. Obviously don't make it cheap but it should be viable. Seriosuly there is no sport in blowing up stuff people are in the process of building or parking to log for the night. Anyone who thinks so is retarded plain old ree ree. Addition--Gates suck as is anyway. You lose half the brigs you try to drive through em. They aren't big enough for Galleons and most end up too low in the ocean to actually provide protection.

  14. Ahoy, guys im sorry to tell u but i`ve been experiencing the same issues as this youtuber and his community... We would love to hear that you atleast had a peek at the video,it basically explains what an atlas player would go trough in around 300 hours... I`ve myself not played the game for a week now i just couldn`t deal with all of these things and evenknow im an ark player and know why the game is like ark and that u need to grind to win at the end of the day the game would be more interesting if there`s more people and since the game is dying you guys wont be able to keep it updated... Another thing i would like to say is that Atlas is not a bad game ... Its perfect actually it just needs fixes the idea about pirates and mmo is amazing but there`s just so bad metas and bad glitches i can`t handle it ... *so do the rest of you community ! I hope you look forward to keeping the game alive and Cya have a confy sailing...

I pulled there ladder up so they couldn't get on. Had a go at them. Suddenly said I can't hear you then my game crashed and couldn't log back on until 30 seconds later when it said they killed me even though they couldnt me in view. Screw this game I want my money back. Your game sucks there is no enjoyment in it!
  17. With the new update, damage from grenades to stone has trippled. It's like the devs don't want basebuilding. Stone is the strongest material you can build with, you have to get a bunch of pretty useless perks to unlock it and still it is not terribly strong. How are we supposed to build a relatively safe base? Especially on the lawless grounds, as we are unable to claim and keep land with the few large companies around who don't seem to care about taxing or diplomacy. I don't mind people breaking the door and storage and raid the base. I'm fine with that. I can see that is part of the game. But I would like to have at least a little bit of security in my own 'home'.

  19. Right now, since the information isn't publically availed, the only people who get early alerting on the location of the FOY are people in very big alliances. The net result of this is that those people rush the location and then by sheer force of numbers are able to overcome or divert the 6-7 level 120 alligator spawns or the 12 level 160 wolf spawns etc. So now your superfriends alliances can send in enough bodies to distract the 12 fire elementals at 07 (yes, really 12), the 8 crocodiles at c6, the .... This is so un-fun, and god awful bad that it makes you as developers look utterly incompetent. Forgive me if that sounds harsh, but I've been at this for 2 days. I know people have lucked out and done it, but really I'm supposed to spend hours and hours running naked into this garbage for what? because you couldn't finish the primary game mechanic which was family so you put in some half baked garbage that is just stupid? My other option is to live looking like a prune with a perma debuff and not get the buff. This really does feel like you are forcibly excrementing right down player's throats. The fire elementals whose fireballs go through water, the wolves that have an attack range longer than polearms and attack through structures and wall clip, the gorgons that stun you for 25 seconds, the tigers that do 125 damage a hit to wooden structures. I don't honestly think you could crank out game design this bad if you tried, this is really some gift you have.

I spent ALL DAY Dec 30th after the mid day update in freeport TWICE rebuilding a raft, on each raft....3 storage boxes, 3 metal hatchets, 3 metal sickles, 3 metal picks, 2 a spy glasses ,3 campfires, bed, smitty, 30 spears , 300 wood, 30 raw metal, 30 crystal, 1000 fiber , 10 flint , 250+ hide and one set of beginner clothes..... to leave freeport and enter lawless zone and be destroyed by ghost ships TWICE... they over ran me and then started firing on me....TWICE . After patch agro on creatures in freeport seemed stronger... the area in which the agro reaches is horrible... hit one pig or cow and they all come running from about 1/4 of that area. Being a below level 13 it was aweful to have to restart without being able to run to your body to get your stuff back... so more crafting and farming... and being over level 8 … I spent ALL day farming ,crafting and NO experience gain... I SPENT THE LAST 7 DAYS SAILING THE WATERS TO FIND EVERYTHING CLAIMED! Tried to head far out from freeport in search of unclaimed land ...to be wrecked into another person boat by hurricanes, I felt horrible and apologized to him many times, he said it was ok. The agro, ghost ships, cyclops on a caffeine boost, lvl 63 crocs hanging out on your raft after they kill you to just chew your raft up and you again each time you respawn on your raft is not an enjoyable game. This isn't survival when you have to many odds stacked against you... no land to build shelter to put up a walled base where you can keep your smitty and storage safe from looters.. I have seen alpha snakes and creatures that shouldn't be in the lawless zone most that landed were just over lvl 8. You cant run, swim or hide from the rock climbing crocs and snakes. Vitamins food and spoilage is stacked against the player too, you have to travel farther looking for unclaimed land to build and set up base to only run out , so you just starve and dehydrate until you die on your raft.. over and over and over. This whole gaming experience would have been half way leveled out and better if you had a place to land and set up protection… there should be no claimed land anywhere on the entire map...just like the lawless area... that seems to be working out … if the timers on your stuff wasn't set to 3 days... Some players have school , work, family emergencies , illness 3 days or what ever they are doing isn't long enough.. I don't know how that feels because I don't have land.. but I have seen the chat. Get along with your bordering neighbors or form a neighborhood clan to work together to go against the damned and creatures in the sea. But this is not working out well for Atlas or the players... if these things cant be fixed and soon ( before your glitches and stabilization ) then its not going to have any positive reviews. The game does have potential but the negative reviews will weigh heavy and by views and word of mouth no one will purchase this game. FIX #1 Land claim flags.. get rid of all of them , let players build where they land, I see masses of land that's flagged and claimed and not one structure built on the land. there might be a shipyard and a raft there and maybe even a small base... but the flags go all around the island where others could have landed and built. … If Atlas can at least fix this it would make all those updates a little easier to deal with. Please give the players something to play, at its current status you cant even play.. its unplayable. #2 Ghost ships shouldn't be able to attack a raft at all.. you have no way of defending your raft. #3 the area of agro and creature agro is high in freeport and beyond freeport. level 8 vs. alpha level 151 snake... or level 63 croc (s) vs. level 11 and raft. One agros and they all come... you run and more join in. #4 raft weight limit is to low to leave freeport with Min. supplies. You cant carry enough survival supplies on your raft. yellow, red, blue and orange, 100 berries = 10 pounds, weapons 10 pounds each, meat 2 pounds per 20, storage boxes ect ect it all adds up. You will have to repair raft and feed , water and take vitamins... and now your over weight on your raft. If these cant be addressed by Atlas in some fair way for the player then I do want my money back. Early Access is a nightmare for many and a headache for those who have land and have to watchdog it.
  21. Just want a little island and set up a few buildings for a nice little trading post for people to come far and wide and do some trades with cool random stuff from the world of atlas. Instead its just a pile of shite with no land anywhere around with toxic people not willing to trust or speak to anyone outside their company.

I do not know if you realize what is happening, during the change of the skill points, the cost increased, but not one was forced to do so, so some still have an advantage even if the points are negative. When a freeport node goes down, the people that were there can not play because an error does not allow them to change servers, and now the gathering event is active and the strong companies keep advancing and the less fortunate ones still want to enter to play , for a game we have paid and we can not play
