I play PVE. I finally got all the 9 gems. I play with mods. When I get to the center grid, the game crashes. I still play with original ships, no modular. I did research, I know I'm also suppose to go underwater and find 9 essences? I think that's what they're called. I have not created the industrial structures or the doom/dead structures. Also in my research, when I get to the center square, I'm suppose to fight a huge kraken. Since one of the updates, the caption changed to large whale. Is my version of Atlas outdated? I'm always seeing the update screen show up. So I should be updated. Has one of my mods caused an issue? What is suppose to happen if I enter the center square without the gems, surely the developers don't just allow the game to crash. I thought I'm suppose to fight the kraken, then go get the essence, then go to the ice dungeon and kill the giant snow beast. Once that's done, I can create the dead/doom/Egyptian temple/doom temple, etc. Also, about a year ago, I saw the signs for the stargate looking portals. I followed them, but there was nothing there. Then weeks later, no more signs. Was I suppose to download the game again? Was I not affected by the wipes? I spent 3 or 4 years playing this char. I don't want to lose it. I posted a message on the forum about creating a second char, so I can start from scratch and finally get to the maw, but no one replied. Anyone have a clue why the game crashes when I enter the center square.

I have 2 computers with Atlas on both. I use 1 computer to play Atlas. I copy the save folder to an external storage, as a back up. I've played Atlas for years, and learned to survive crashes and bugs, by restoring the saved folder. I use computer 2 to play copies of old saved Atlas folder. I play Atlas by login to Steam like the rest of players. My question is this, If I "Delete Singleplayer Data" from the Atlas menu, will I be deleting my character from online and not be able to login on and play on computer 1? I have spent years playing Atlas, I don't want to lose all that content. But I'm curious to create a new character. Anyone have an idea? I guess I can create a new login in steam with new email, and have it as a second account. It's just that I have allot of mods installed. I don't want to start from scratch and add the mods to a second account. Basically, I have my char in PVE as a single player. I've played that char for years and want to keep it. I want to create a second character but don't know how. If I delete the data from the Atlas menu, will I be deleting my old character?

I want to make a new character because my character and character name didn't save the way I wanted it, and now I can't find a way to make a new Pathfinder. Ppl say, Die and it will be in the menu, but I can't find it, I deleted my profile and reserved space and still nothing, now I am reinstalling the game hoping to find it. There are a lot of ark similarities, besides the character creation. Can someone help me ?

There are two things in Atlas that so badly need to be fixed first one being ritual stones. They need to be disabled because when used they crash the server and erase what happened. There’s a company on one of the Xbox only pvp servers who’s at war with mine. They use the ritual stone to crash the server and save tames of theirs we killed or ships we sank. They’re also doing a ship glitch that gives their ships max ship damage and max resistance. It makes it difficult to sink them and it is an unfair advantage. Now my company is using it to combat them and I don’t want them using it. The console pvp server is emerald coast and the company abusing these bugs and glitches is called R I D. These need to be addressed immediately please. The ritual stone just has to be activated to crash and to do the ship glitch you respec the ship to 396 durability, bottle the ship after 48 hours you unbottle it and respec to full damage. Now you have full durability and full damage it just doesn’t affect front and rear castles. Server resets and gridding do not erase the respec only a ritual stone crash will. Disable ritual stone and fix the ship glitch please.

I understand your frustration with game development issues. It can be really frustrating when it seems like the devs aren't addressing important balance problems. Hopefully, they'll listen to the community and make the necessary improvements. If you want to get any feature earlier, I'm pretty sure you can find it at CS2. Keep the faith and fingers crossed for better updates!

Claim Towers could have fixed this game. So much lag to do spamming of things everywhere. Claim towers was the way to fix the game, but they like building spam that uses so much memory they make the game look like puke and worse then Nintendo 64 graphics on XBOX. Does grapeshot not know that is the major problem of the game is the SPAMMING of every piece of structure people throws down every single place possible. CLAIM TOWERS, CLAIM TOWERS. Refine claim towers dont give one person 30+ claim towers. Give them 5 if they want more each tribe member they add gets one more claim tower to a max of 15 claim towers. Also have the grid like it was day one if the map was to big then make it a 8x8 or 9x9. Also the passive mining of materials should not have to place them 5 miles apart it was nice touch to the game but its why i claimed a whole island to my self because had to if i wanted all the passive production of wood, stone, metal and whatever else. REFINE it. Everyone wants to enjoy every aspect of the game. So allow us to with out giving us the world. If the game actually ran right and looked good people would play this. I would play it again but it need some type of ad on XBOX to bring back players because it ran off so many XBOX players. I had like 20 friends that wanted to play it and zero want too now.

As far as im concerned what broke the game was grapeshot trying to please everyone posting here instead of sticking to their original vision of the game, the first iteration was the best, the world was huge sailing for hours to get some resources ment something, trading had value, but they listened to the whiners that want everything quick and easy, and now we have this mosaic of shit, that has nothing to do with the original idea of the game portals ffs etc... real shame.

I want to play but it keeps crashing

In single player ocean at least, Ships of the Damned appear on the mini-map. So, it's rather easy to check the map and sail around them without even seeing them. On the stupidly high temperatures, I think there is a bug were jumping in the water to cool off isn't registered and you temp stays at 61 degrees, and you die. Maybe quit and load back in? I suspect running close to water and then away from the water a couple of times will also trigger it to register. For gold The Tramp and its shipyard don't require gold. So, build a Tramp with a large handling sail (closest the wheel) and a medium speed sail. Before releasing, replace the cargo attachments with a diving attachment (with rails), dingy attachment and two tame cargo attachments. The default cargo attachments slow the ship down, so you don't want any of them. Initially manually handle the large handling sail and the wheel and use flotsam to get gold for two crew. Have them man the sails. Then wear a lantern and dive on the wrecks. This gets 80-200 gold each time. A Tramp in this config will easily outrun any SotD and wild pirate ship. Only put points into sturdiness and resistance.

Tried joing the xbox only official server and immediately crashed after crashing all day and cross play server any advice or help I really like this game ans want to play it with my friend but if I can't even load in I doubt he will be able to either

6x6 the map being smaller makes me want to play this game less and less each season, the game was so much better when the map was 15x15, the regions and portals were nice but even now those are gone and makes the game boring and dull. I don't think the dev team wants the game to be a success.

PVE not able to own an island or claim land means some jack wagon will want to live in your front yard causing everyone to pillar the islands to keep people from encroaching on their build which means a ton of lag. Everyone is better off playing a modded server or non-dedicated and shut official down.

You don't want people to spam pillars but now for pve the only option is to spam pillars to protect your build spot. What's the reasoning behind remeoving islands and claimable lawless?

I’m sorry but not sorry for wha I’m about to say. You guys are Fing up the game. I’ve been playing this game since it came to XBOX. And watched the progress. And now you’re talking about going backwards? Do not be like Ark. With no land to claim what is the point of playing. Trades would be pointless for the most part also. The maps are smaller not enough land for everyone that places in the first place. Get it together. We want more land, new ships, new tames, new reasons to play: don’t take what we like and then replace it with bs.

I do understand starting new seasons, however, are the seasons really just 3-4 months? I get it, wipe and let folks try and get the lands they want, etc., but, 3-4 months without serious new content? I am a glutton for the grind but, this seems a bit much. ;)

FINAL NOTE Again, we would like to emphasize that Stryker said it all. We took our boats and left. Stryker messaged nami and redbeard, told them it wasn’t working out. We wanted to go out and get content but we were EU players on a NA server. I personally farmed at least 400 rhino horns for the company, so I felt taking my ship with me was reasonable. I had 150 dmg gunports on my ship, everything else was from vessels studies. I leveled it myself and farmed the horns myself, I also farmed the gunports that were on my boat. Neither nami nor redbeard were in comms when we left, they had already went to bed so he messaged them. End of story. Call it what you want. It is as simple as it just wasn’t what we’d hoped.

Why was my previous progress deleted when logging back in after patch was installed? That is 300+ hrs GONE! NOT. HAPPY. I WANT my progress back! I'd been waiting yrs to be able to finally play this game (even in single player) and a pc that would run it only to have my progress wiped out by a patch! The cloud sync seems to be worth nothing in the time it should serve the most!

are abandoned ships destroyed by devs on request, I took over a spot on an island and now there’s 4 galleons and 3 cogs left for me to deal with, I can’t do anything with shipyards and now because of the ridiculously long decay timers on ships Iam at a standstill with game progression, after all this time why is there still no fix, these players are not coming back and even if they do there base is gone, with all the problems atlas is having with lag and ping also available beach frontage, doesn’t it make sense to allow players to delete ships after 10 days just like the players base, how does this make sense, why am I being punished by a player that no longer plays atlas, is there a reason the devs don’t want us to have the ability to dispose of these ships, it would make there job much easier or maybe technology hasn’t advanced far enough to allow this, my character can cough and poop which has no bearing on the game but I can’t enjoy my time on an island because of all the ships no longer in use, and before the trolls chime in look at the map and tell me where there’s room, also limit where houses to one per company per grid, and no player ever needs more than 5 large signs, please others players keep your stupid comments to yourself, helpful comments always welcome

Atlas does not have color mutations. Dont want anyone getting confused about that

some of their design decision lack any sort of logic, but im not surprised by that, they want to drive pve players either to pvp servers or off of official all together. one of the latest is the vitamin system not replenishing on death, even though they give you full hydration, full hunger, and full healht, they pretty much guarantee a time clock on your characters life for a starting character, its 20 or 30 levels minimum before youre in a position to cook whats needed to keep food balanced. and youve gone and shrunk the map? so now if you arent there in the first 2 hours you dont get to settle someplace??? took me 3 real days of sailing to finally find an island with a small spot for me. thanks for that. garbage decision after garbage decision has had me change my positive review to a negative one, as are all my team.

Devs, Just want to say that these forums much like the oceans in Atlas are full of salty people. Just remember that there are those of us that really enjoy the game and hope you guys continue the hard work you put in. Best wishes to you and I hope you have a prosperous future.

Ok so I am a little confused on what is really going on with grapeshot. I figured it was where you all was new years ago yet its still going on. We are begging for things to be fixed lets begin with the obvious how about to fix the map for unofficial servers. These servers bring you in money a lot of people dont want to play the game how you designed it and having customized servers for better drop rates is very nice. There is a lot but how is it we beg for months for something to be fixed and you all send out an update TO MAKE OUR CHARACTERS FATTER. So all I can see is you dont care about your players at all what a failed excuse of a company
