I don't see how you can say, or anyone can say the "game is dying again" when population keeps going up, and Xbox is just in love with this game. Not long ago recent and all reviews were both OVERWHELMINGLY negative. Now look: Both the claim that 'the game is dying' and 'its getting worse' are just not congruent with reality. It falls right in line with clowns who think that "game studios don't work on multiple projects at once" and that "releasing Xbox was a money grab." Look, it's obvious some people on this forum don't know that studios work on several projects at once, and generally, you try to support all platforms at once. Games would take decades to fully roll out if they did it that way *cough Halo: Master Cheif Collection on PC cough* shit sorry I just had some WORK ON TWO DIFFERENT PLATFORMS ONE AFTER THE OTHER stuck in my throat. I don't know how else to explain that "this is the normal Early Access experience, you signed up for this, stop being nasty to the devs."They are on boarding just for this game. "Three months with no communication" that we were completely forewarned about. Let alone that three months is kind of short as far as dev cycles go. This is the only game community I have ever been a part of that is this nasty and entitled at the devs. The reason the devs don't communicate is because this forum and the Discord abuse the shit out of them. Better yet? They let you do it. You'd never get away with this on any other EA forums, save for maybe Rust/FP... but Gary would just be nasty back at you instead. "It's not a good look" lol no lmfao These devs are saints to put up with everyone's shit and not just close feedback entirely. That's not to say I want to suck Jat's donger here. I fucking hate so much about the design of this game. You have no idea how much I want to go to the studio and throw stinky lettuce leafs at everyone's cars some days. But you know what.... I keep those feelings inside. This community is super abusive and entitled to these devs. You wonder why they don't talk. Now the fact that Gorgons Gaze - L6 is still fucking down; really chaps my rump I don't know if you are serious or not. If that's the case... it's time to play another game mango. Just give it a break for a bit. The game will still be here when you get back. Maybe not your stuff, but that gets wiped periodically anyway, no? Going hard in this game is an exercise in futility. I hope you understand that. It's why I keep telling you guys to not be so entitled about the game, that, if you don't enjoy it, that's on you. This game is what you make of it. The bugs really don't break anything major, let's be real. That's S1/S2 shit.

Hello everyone, In the first few hours of playing Atlas I realized that this game has massive RP potential. It's slowly growing, but a handful of us have started the beginnings of constructing an RP Community. No struct rules; follow the law, play in character, etc. Looking to build a lax progressive environment that everyone can immerse into and experience a dynamic narrative that plays out all on its own. I guess you'd say it's a light/medium RP, but RP in a sense that you're living in a town, possibly have a home, you make friends, perhaps you have a job or you're an adventurer who goes out to sea looking for spoils to bring back to the community. But to do that you, you had to pay the captain of that ship to take you out, but he had to pay a crew to ensure a safe voyage... you see where I'm going A few steps for the journey ahead Acquire a small group of sane folk to construct a foundation for the future townsman/women. They will be known as "The Founders" Founders Phase: This phase we will do our best to solidify our way of life and to develop a name for our company. If we acquire a full square we will adopt a new name and declare ourselves a sovereign nation. Settlers Phase: This is where we try to find the best possible land of our own. Ideally there will always be settlers looking out for new lands. Builders Phase: Once a land is founded our builders will start to construct the towns infrastructure. (One of our founders has come up with "Elshire" for the capitol island) Law of the land: For example, theft, building without a permit or "no build" zones" may come with a fine. Those represent some of the plans I've come up with for starting the community. I'd love to run the town as a democracy and allow the outcome to play dynamically to see what stories unfold. If you're interested in founding this community please join the (very empty) facebook group Atlas RP and/or the XBOX club Atlas RP (Both names subject to change). Looking for open, creative, flexible thinkers who tend to get along with others and work well in groups for founders, but everyone interested may join the FB group. Server Build 401.13, PATCH 401.5 (Rev. Unknown) as shown on under main menu. Since Wednesday November 13, 2019, I have been unable to play ATLAS... Why? I'm not sure. I played a normal day on ATLAS like usual, then got off for the night. Now, unable to log in the next day, I tried all the internet remedies I could find, but none were quite like my issue. Errors... I am getting both the popular errors back-to-back. Lost/Timed out ping, and Network Failure: Unable to query server yada yada. So far I have 234 hours on The Gorgon's Gaze NA PvE, this is the one I wish to get back on. It let me create a new pathfinder ONCE on EU PvE The Whale's Solitude, and now gives me the same errors. I can load a fresh NA PvP The Kraken's Grasp, have done so twice just to test it. It seems to be an error loading my saved data for my pathfinder. Has anyone come across this? Halp

How to recreate the barrel roll bug. Have a Brig Have a bear with a cargo saddle on it Sail to sea, wait for it. If you remove the cargo saddle, the Brig won't roll. I'm on NA Official PVE Gorgon's Gaze. After the patch, our brig with five bears is completely upside down stuck in the terrain. It was anchored safely at time of patch and now upside down and all the bears are underwater. It's still showing a green anchor. When I first signed back in it seemed to be taking a ton of damage. So I signed out and signed back in and now it's just sitting there upside down. Please help! It has all journeyman planks and upgraded decks and sails and our best bears on it. We can't access the steering wheel but would be too scared to try if we could with all the damage we saw it taking.

Hello everyone. New to Atlas, having moved over from Ark. My friend an I are having difficulty finding an island with space in it to set down a flag in the Gorgons gaze server. Is this a normal occurrence? We are in D7 at the moment, having traveled from A1.

This problem has been going on for over a week now. It really can't be that hard people. I have 2 machines, neither one can connect to official server when clicking REJOIN. However, if I click JOIN, then select my server NA-PVE The Gorgon's Gaze for example, I then have to hit refresh until the rejoin I logged off in shows up (this only works for lawless and freeports btw). For example, A5. I just keep hitting refresh, which can take up to 45 mins for that region to show. Select A5 and I join no problem. Now my research regarding this problem. I have re-installed steam and atlas. No change. I have reset my fiber connection to get a new IP. No change. Reinstalled my network drivers. No change. By now I am pissed off. Time for a traceroute, which I have attached to this post. Seems you guys need to talk the people at gin.ntt.net or whomever is behind them.

I'm looking to book passage from the freeport in M2 or C14 to hunt Blue Whale and Sperm Whale and receive the Discovery Point Bonuses and Quest Skills associated with the two of them. I'm on Gorgon's Gaze NA PvE, based around J9 and willing to travel up to three tiles in any direction to deliver payment. Anyone available, and if so, what are your terms?

So my tribe plays PVE NA, Gorgons Gaze, we own an island on M11, we have foundationed our base, even so cobras still spawn rapidly, it's common to have them spawning inside our town and killing our tames. Idk if this is a bug or just a thing the devs wanted, it's stupid, I have lost so many tames, many times snakes simply run to the water dragging any animals I put on neutral and as soon as they hit it they stop attacking the cobra, I have watched as rhinos have died by this way, level 40+ rhinos to a lvl 3 or lower snake, Need base defense ideas, tried swivel guns, but even with food silo food spoils rapidly, put 5k berries in it a few hours ago and already gone

Same problem on another official server Network: PVE - NA Gorgon’s Gaze in J4 - waterisle Reef wouldn’t let us collect resources. we then claimed the island last night and still would not let us collect resources, is there an amount of time you have to wait? Or is this just a glitch with the island ??

I realize this post is very old but I'm having this same issue after an update today and I'm really hoping someone has a fix for it. I'm on xbox gorgon's gaze server.

Network: NA/PVE Gorgons Gaze Grid: J4 Description of issue: Was on my lvl 64 Elephant getting off ship to go harvest, next thing I see is the screen to respawn. Respawned on ship and headed to the top deck, No Elephant or Blue corpse light at all. Searched around immediate area holding down H for advanced info to see if I could see the elephant. Jumped on Bear looked around island for a while also holding down H again no blue light nor elephant to be found. Also tried using T and switching all to follow and Neutral and whistled for crew to come to location with no results. Note :- was not starving or thirsty and elephant had food in inventory. Checked company log nothing mentioned about character death or loss of elephant. Also tried soft logging to see if that helped but to no avail. Repro steps if available/applicable: Did not try to reproduce as this was just completely random and did not have another elephant to try it on. So I was making food for my fleet the two most useful being Pork Pies and Fish and Chips. However, I would set up the craft in the grill for fish and chips go over to another grill to setup pork pies and by the time I come back to the original grill only 6 or so fish and chips were made before 25+ bell pepper disappeared. I went and harvested more bell pepper added it and set it to cook. When I came back the bell pepper was again gone. Now I could understand if something else was crafting, but there were no other items. I could understand if the bell pepper had a fast spoil timer but it don't. I have done a search on these forums and google and no one else seems to be having this issue. Maybe it is new? Information: Gorgons Gaze [PVE][NA] server Reproduction: 1. unlock required skills to cook pork pies and fish and chips. 2. place 2 grills and gather required ingredients. 3. Place ingredients for fish and chips and wood into one grill. Setup crafting of multiple fish and chips. 4. Go to second grill place ingredients for pork pies into it with wood. Setup crafting of multiple pork pies. 5. Return to first grill. Notice crafting is not happening anymore and bell pepper is missing. Expected results: Both fish and chips & pork pies craft properly in the amount set to do so minus any that do not craft due to normally spoiling ingredients. Actual results: Bell peppers for the fish and chips disappear stopping the craft somewhere between 6 and 15 into the crafting queue.

We're on Gorgon's Gaze (NA PvE). I'll take a look at getting some gliders and picks in there as well, just to make sure. Thanks for the replies! -Darc

Network: NA PvE Official (Gorgon's Gaze) Grid: J14 (Tundra) Description of Issue: Unable to climb up rope ladders attached to (any facing/side) sloop, schooner, and brig (haven't tested galleon). Screenshots/Video don't seem necessary since, after some simple research on the forums, this has been an on-going issue for several months now. Repro steps: While in Tundra biome, swim/move to a rope ladder attached to a ship's panels and press 'E'. You will appear to latch onto it, but your hand placements will likely be slightly 'off'. Regardless, any attempt to climb the ladder results in you either moving forward or backward laterally instead of up or down while stuck in the latched-onto-ladder animation/stance. Coord's when making this post: [ Long: 23.40 / Lat: -76.45 ] Guys and gals... please, for the love of all that's "Argh", fix this. I don't toss around the term "game-breaking" very often, but seriously, this is a pretty foul bug. I am aware that using the grappling hook is currently a 'workaround', but that's not the point of this post. This is just reporting that the bug is still quite present. Thank you for your time and attention. Edit (same day): Ladder-climbing appears to work properly (at least once) while wearing dive suit on schooner. And it's raining.

Gorgon's Gaze / A4 I've started playing Atlas this past week with an invite from my brothers. I originally started in E5 rather than what I later learned were free ports. Upon taming animals I found I could not issue commands even though I had the appropriate skill set. I also couldn't rename them. Really, anything in blue after pressing and holding the E button, I had no access to. The same was true after building a boat and hiring crew. Anything in blue on the E commands wheel I have no access to. I've tried killing myself in a variety of ways, changing my home zone to a free port and then killing myself in every manner I could think of. Yesterday, I created a new pathfinder and starting in E4 at a free port, but my character is still bugged in the same way. I'm currently in A4 and trying to live with it until I can find a solution. I've searched through the posts and haven't found anything with exactly the same issue though I'm hoping there's an easy fix. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Tinker
