  2. Don't worry, it's totally normal to have questions when you're new to forums. Regarding your bear breeding experience, it does sound quite unusual for all the babies to have the exact same stats. While breeding can be a bit unpredictable, it's highly unlikely for every baby to turn out identical unless there's something specific happening.
  3. i dont know where to post this, my first time on a form, but anyway im breeding and idk if im just crazy or doing it wrong or if somethings broke but ive bred like 8 bears and EVERY single baby has the same exact stat to the decimal point. and they were bread at different times with different parents am i doing something wrong??
  4. Ahoy Pathfinders! As we gear up for the new season, we have some exciting changes in store for you. In addition to the scheduled official server wipe, we have addressed several issues, including the display of loaded tames on Tame Railings, disappearing food in Tame Houses/Hatcheries upon server restarts, Xbox crashing problems, and much more! We've also made updates to the Vitamin management system, the singleplayer map, and added new ship tracking features, along with a few other quality of life improvements. To make these changes, official servers will be temporarily offline on Wednesday, March 15th at 7AM PDT, with an estimated return time of 12PM PDT. Unofficial servers can expect to receive the update shortly after. Unofficial Community We would like to take a moment to express our appreciation for the unofficial server community and the significant contributions that you have made to ATLAS. Your creativity and support have helped shape the game and offer unique gameplay experiences for players. We believe that the unofficial server community has the potential to continue taking ATLAS to new heights. We will be releasing an updated Server Grid Editor (SGE) after the patch on the 15th to allow players wishing to use, or have access to, the official maps. Note that there are no other changes to the SGE since its previous update. We understand that modding is an important aspect of the ATLAS community, and we're committed to supporting mod developers as much as we can. We are working on an update for the DevKit to match it to the latest version of the game. While we don't have an exact release date for the update yet, it shouldn't be too long after the patch. We hope that the updated DevKit will make it easier for you to continue creating amazing content for the game. Released Patch Notes v.557.6 Official Servers Wipe & New Maps We are returning to our larger map layout for our PvP server, though we are retaining the Xbox only server format for those who prefer it. As for the official PvE server, it will remain the same size but with the reintroduction of the different claim types for companies to secure land. [Global][PvP] The Cobra’s Strike Crossplay 9x9 map size All quest content will be available One open world (no regions or portals) All claim types (claimable islands, claimable lawless, and unclaimable lawless) [Global][PvE] The Whale’s Solitude Crossplay 6x6 map size All quest content will be available One open world (no regions or portals) All claim types (claimable islands, claimable lawless, and unclaimable lawless) [Console][PvP] Emerald Coast Xbox players only (no PC) 3x3 map size Quest content (Power Stones etc.) will not be available One open world (no regions or portals) Claimable islands and unclaimable lawless only (no claimable lawless) Singleplayer Map Exciting news for all solo players out there! We're thrilled to announce that we're adding the Wonder Island and spawn points for the Army of the Damned (AotD) and Industrial Transient Nodes to the current singleplayer map. With these new additions, you'll have the opportunity to explore and craft all the latest content available in ATLAS, all while keeping your existing progress intact. Added AotD Transient nodes to 150+ islands for collecting Cursed Bone Chips. Added Industrial Transient nodes to 100+ islands for collecting Brimstone. Added 1 Wonder Island for crafting the Great Temple. Ship Icons on Map All ships, now including ally, enemy, and SotD, will be visible on the map in the grid you are located in. Players will have the option of hiding either the entire ship icon or just the text using the “Toggle Ship Icons” and “Toggle Ships Text” buttons on their map to reduce clutter. Unofficial servers will have the option of disabling this feature by using one of the following command line arguments: ?ShowShipInServer=false (completely disables) ?ShowEnemyShipsUnderFog=false (disable seeing ships covered by Fog of War) The different ship icons will be colored coded to provide easier identification: Your own ships: Normal (unchanged) Ally ships: Cyan Enemy ships: Red Ship of the Damned: Brown Vitamin Management Vitamin Levels: Vitamin levels now persist through death, instead of being reset. The damage over time from vitamin depletion, poisoning, deficiency, and surplus has been removed. Instead, each vitamin will provide a different debuff to players when not adequately maintained. Vitamin Depletion (0%) and Poisoning (100%) Vitamin A - 20% increase to damage taken. Vitamin B - 20% reduced stamina recovery rate. Vitamin C - 30 reduced fortitude. Vitamin D - 20% reduced speed. Slightly reduced grown vegetable and egg requirements in cooked recipes. Cooked recipe foods now give their secondary vitamins much quicker. Chickens stored in Tame Hatcheries or Barns will produce unfertilized eggs over time. Overeating: Players will now experience even more realistic effects from overeating! If you eat more than your stomach can handle your pants will look a little tighter and you’ll become extremely sleepy… Removed damage to health when overeating. Added torpor to the player when overeating. A player’s stomach will visibly get enlarged when they are overeating. Pooping: Is there anything more immersion breaking than randomly pooping on the floor? We are proud to say our pirates are now potty trained! Removed the chance a player will poop randomly. Player pooping is now only activated through keybind (F11 by default). Pooping reduces food levels by 15. Added a cooldown to pooping. With the recent discovery of the Golden Age ruins, pathfinders will find themselves tested by new adversaries that will strike down the most experienced of pirates if not careful. Seven of these bosses now roam the lands waiting to unleash their might on any that dare to find them. Are you brave enough to take the challenge? There is also talk of an new unexplored region, shrouded in mystery, that may bring a new set of trials to pathfinders looking to unlock its secrets. Do not trust your senses in this eerie place for one false move may spell doom for you and your crew. The map itself has also undergone a few changes to make traversing the world a little easier. As always, with the new content, we are also continuing to fix many of the issues that have been reported by you, the community, and will continue to do so until we get it right. We want to say thank you to all the pathfinders that have provided feedback and suggestions and that continue to support us as we make gradual steps to make Atlas the best gameplay experience possible. 13. So more fun times. If you want a way to get rid of junk animals instantly build one stock it and then demo the building. Everything goes including the animals. So I found a real use for these! Instant way of deleting animals :). Otherwise so far they are useless. Poop doesn’t collect, unloading puts them all over the place including under buildings, and baby’s that aren’t caught when unloaded die in less than a minute irregardless of level.
  14. I found two baby bears in one that I swore I didn’t have any males in but I did and they are all level 1died instantly after taking them out. The one I birthed outside and put in the tame house hasn’t grown at all but hasn’t died either. I’ll take it out and finally let it grow. Kinda dumb to be honest. What is this supposed to have helped? I can’t even get the poop to collect again. They stopped entirely.
  15. Same thing happened with our taming pen. Lvl 1 baby giraffe was the result. If you put a newborn baby in the pen it freezes the imprint timer and the maturation timer until you unload the baby, so you get more flexibility for time management. One more thing, it freezes or extremely slow down their food consuming too so it won't starve or freeze to death. Just put some food in the inventory of the pens just for safety. So at this point it's good for breeding the supported animals ( they won't get affected by cold/hot in the breeding process in the pen), just don't forget to unload the mother before the baby born so you won't get lvl 1 babies. The pen is also good for time management (loading/unloading the the babies).
  16. We're not entirely sure about the breeding. We bred two lions, put the prego mom in the taming pen, and the baby popped up in the pen and was claimed but it was level 1. Forgot to ask my friend if it imprinted to her since she released it from the pen or not. We were more concerned about it being level 1. I know this is an error that happens when you try transferring eggs between servers in ark. I'm guessing it's some sort of mistake. Edit: If it's not a mistake and they're supposed to be level 1 it's utterly useless for breeding. We didn't test to see if we could put a baby in there pre 10% to see if it kept it fed. That might be worth while.
  17. Tame House is definitely great for storing your animals. But so far, DO NOT breed and allow them to give birth in there! The baby will be a level 1. Imprinting also wont happen (as you're not there to claim and imprint) They won't grow in there either. It's basically a frozen clock for babies. So far.
  18. It is simply not playable with claim towers in effect for other players than jobless 24/7 Corona kids who are not receiving enough love from their parents. Prior to claim towers the game was quite fun, the armored docks allowed to live on the ships. Yes, these armored docks could be destroyed. But for single troll kids too much effort. These want everything very quick, quick, quick ! And started their cry-baby system on the devs till they received the claim towers for maximum everything-in-30-minutes trolling. After alpha release it was quite challenging to claim an area. If you wanted to fight someone you had to anti-claim. Lots of efforts, took hours and days. Nothing for pew pew Call-of-Duty milliennial cry babys. So playing not in a huge mega company is completely pointless at the moment. Also the modular ships are trash. i am creative, i want to try concepts and build how i want. I am afraid, ATLAS will not find back onto the path of a shining fun game.
  19. This game is dead. Its beyond saving. 3 years in EA is a joke, and lets be honest its not EA at this point they're just stringing it along. They are milking it for all its worth to fund their ARK baby. Updates with things no one ever asked for, ships which are completely ridiculous and just an attempt to hide bad code they cant fix.. game is a joke. The main activity goes on private servers with mods and better quality of life changes. I left official not long after the forts were implemented. Been playing on IS server since and its great fun. A lot less grief, people actually get along and give advice instead of insulting each other. Playing since phase 1 I wouldn't touch official with a barge pole these days. But then all you have to do is look at the forums to see how dead it is here now. Barely a post a day in the main general chat. Says everything you need to know.
  20. I have a lvl 30 male horse with perfect melee damage and stamina (167% dmg, 1210 stamina) a female lvl 28 horsa (600+) HP and 900 weight I beleive, some douchbag in my company leveld them up so i dont know its original stats anymore,..,. and i have other lvl 26 horses with inferior stats. so I just focus on the 30lvl and 28lvl horse for breeding, right? let them make baby over and over till they have all best stats combined in 1 ?
  21. If you are looking for muts, just keep breeding. Each breed has a chance to mutate a stat. When looking to combine stats, you have a 50% for the stat you want to carry over to the baby. Ie if you want hp 500 on the baby, the dad has the 500 and mom has 450, you have a 50% chance for the 500 to carry over. Do this for all the stats you want combined and eventually youll have everything combined. If everything is the same stat then youd only be looking for muts, unless you introduce a better stat, ie 550hp. In which case rinse repeat until 550 is into your line
  22. thats just exploiting the brokenness of the game. U should report urself for being a baby. If the game allows pillar spam, shipyard spam, farm stacking and other exploits, then it isn't the player's fault but the game's. The player are merely making use of it.
  23. I'm on the official PVE D10 and trying to breed sheep. Correct biome and temp. The sheep gets pregnant but at the time of birth no baby appears. Bears work, just not sheep. Bug or user error?
  24. Hi dear stupid please go and play in PVP server and don't you never ever cry about PVE.. But better yeah dont come back less cry baby's less drama.
  25. This topic has been widely discussed with a variety of different ideas/opinions. Most of them I never agreed with because people would try to get excited about it or hype it up as being “wonderful” or some other ridiculous word. Either way the game is failing and has been. merging pve and pvp together could be good for the simple fact that gold could be worth something. Even mega companies has to waste personnel to grind out materials. Why not have the grinders(pve) players do that in the safety of their pve servers so that all pvp players can focus on pvp? Wow, what a concept. Pvp players can raid other pvp players to get “gold” so they can buy the good materials that the grinders(pve) make. Manufacturers(pve) and consumers(pvp). I know a lot of cry baby pvp people will whine and say they want to attack the pve people but suck it up, you don’t get to now and you won’t get to later lol. with this pve players wouldn’t have to worry about farming gold and pvp people wouldn’t have to waste time farming resources. They could just come up and with “gold” buy the 200% gally. You lose a ship in war? Go buy another one from the pve people. Pvp people don’t want to waste time taming or breeding? Also no problem, the pve people already did that and are willing to sell them. It’s beyond me how pvp people can be so arrogant lol. FACTIONS: this will definitely not solve the gold problem but will make for better pvp(sorry solo players) because it will eliminate the mega and solo players. You log in and make a character? You pick a faction regardless(doesn’t matter how many factions and that is not this discussion). You will pick a faction and that will always be your faction. The pvp battles would become very large scale and be a lot more entertaining than a fleet of gallys coming for a stone hut. Whatever faction comes out on top is the winner. I would apologize for being blunt but I am not sorry in any way, shape, of form. I have seen so many terrible ideas on this forum because people are trying to be “creative” or “fantasize”. This is the real world and we live in it. There is no creativity in this game. It’s a matter of players and success. Without either of these two this game will just stay a steaming pile and will continue to bleed players. That’s all there is to it. Try not to be creative in replies with creative ideas. Definitely not welcome. Rational replies with common sense would be helpful, because remember, pve people don’t want to play with pvp people so they will either leave or you give them incentive to do so.
