Even in PVE the ships are constantly maintained by the crew “sweeping”. Natural ship deterioration makes this necessary. I tell my crew all the time that if you’re not sweeping, your swimming.

If your PVE, I personally welcome you to Lawless L9. Tons of space even with an average 25 players. It’s our 3rd season in L9 and the best yet.

It means you have to get close enough to the structures for your screen to render the graphics. Don’t forget to raise the anchor of your ships regularly because rendering them isn’t enough.

We love lawless and have since 1st launch. I have come to realize that the majority of people of playing just want to have a great time and good interactions. When the jerk surfaces (yes they will) it’s been fun to watch them lose interest and disappear or have The Wipe wash them away. I could have claimed nice islands over the seasons with our 5 person crew but the Lawless adds an unknown element that I like. It’s sort of like a random card draw that could be good or bad. L9 on Alice has been great. Yesterday a neighbor company GAVE a ship to a company that shipwrecked. Good card draw. The jerk that put a lighthouse on top of our bed in an outpost was a bad one. Fun stuff.

You just have to feed below the punchline.

Personally I like the whole taming thing. I snucked behind my little kitty cat for 20 minutes through the sand to capture her. Now Miss Scrumptiousness and I sail the high seas as fearsome pirates. Look out baddies cuz nothing can resist a little kitty with a hat on her head.

I had a tame bear stuck in a “scenery” tree for 5 weeks during the last season. I named him Poor Stuck Bear. Then one day he was free so I changed his name. Waiting seemed to work after I tried everything else.

We had 26 people in L9 yesterday. It was a like a holiday weekend at a campground. Good stuff.

Man, I miss this. I will be joining NA PVE because I can’t stay away from this insanity. I’m sorry @boomervoncannon @Winter Thorne I was just angry before, can I still play?

I have enjoyed Atlas since the launch and the banter (and useful info) on the forums but I’m going to sit this Wipe Cycle out. It’s been a pleasure playing and we will see you again in 4 to 5 months after the next wipe. Be Well, Gomez, Morticia, Maxim, Lurch, Fester

Because of auto destruct and people losing interest, our lawless island is almost totally empty. It looks more empty than it did when I got there the day after the last wipe. I have even asked my neighbors to join me before they quit just so their buildings won’t self destruct. I will keep playing regardless of a wipe because I like the game but I have no idea what the benefits would be on PVE.

Just about the same age as you (48) with teen sons laughing at my pirate game’s direction. I really do like the game and will continue to play it almost everyday wipe or not. They listen to me complain about the unrealized potential and threaten that I’ll just LOAD”sidpirates”,8 on my C64 and show them a thing or two. Then they laugh some more.

I must be one of those rubes. I sat down with my family to learn what wonderful direction the team was taking the game. Here is what I found out: Jeremy has dollar signs in his eyes, my teenage sons love to make fun of their fathers pirate game and it’s developers, my wife (who has 100’s of hours in this) is adorable when she plaintively asks, “What about my hat?” It’s just a jump to the left I suppose...

I took a shot every time they said “going forward” and passed out.
