O man.. Imagine actual npc ships that we could pirate for resources.. i got word a ship is hauling fiber!! Instead we have floating nike shoes everywhere....

Aging is a wonderful concept imo. But it was implemented horribly and you age way too fast especially since the way to stop it is so messed up. But to each their own.

I would throw money at anyone who had a full size pvpve server

Now im not talking electric or gas powered but mechanical machines that are buildable at higher levels to help harvest. I just dont feel like taming fits the genre here. This is a game about sailing but in reality sailing is nothing more than a way to travel and there is no real focus on it. So in stead of taming an elephant for wood why not add some contraption that you attach to an animal like the bull or something to harvest wood and other resources alike. Why not give the ability to create a mine and add npcs to work them for pay of course that slowly gathers metal/rocks over time...? Employees if you will. I dunno im just throwing things out there because truthfully i feel like im playing ark again but i just wanna sail but really have no reason to atm.

This will also make the dinghy more viable

The thing is that is not entirely accurate. Individual resources gather rates can be adjusted. All i know as of right now is prior to the 2x weekend i was getting 100 wood from the trees right outside my home base walls, during the 2x around 200 and now 50. So something is not adding up here. I also use an elephant to gather wood and these numbers come from using a metal pick. But the point is farming wood one way or another was nerfed.
