Ya I know you're crying is funny to me too. You call us kids but you're the one acting like a little whiny child. Calling names and attacking groups of people for no reason. Someone needs a nap and then some time in the corner to contemplate how real grown ups are supposed to act.

The problem is that you are beating dead horses. Most of the people enjoying it dont come here much. The people here are here mostly to vent and you telling them to suck it up is just salt in a wound. Personally I'm mostly enjoying it but at the same time I see why people are complaining. Consider this... if people dont complain what will the devs think? Its because of us testers pushing back that some necessary bugs are fixed. It's up to the devs to weed thru the legit complaints to fix things that are necessary and also to stick to thier original plan for the game. I guess what I'm saying is that your complaining about complainers is actually the least helpful thing for a game. These forums and the complainers are necessary. We are Early Access participants... aka Alpha testers. You expect testers to just shut up and play? Silly advice in my opinion.

Do some searching on the steam forums for a large unofficial pve server. They exist and they are fun. I've been on unofficial for a while now and it's the best thing I did to help me enjoy this game. Official servers are toxic and a free for all.

Anyone know if there is a roadmap they have given us? Since we are, in essence, paying for thier alpha testing I beleive they should at least treat us like professional testers and give us things to look for and report. A simple "let us know what you think of the current changes" would make people feel A LOT better about all these nerfs and changes that are making the game miserable.

I've only had 2 SOTDs get close enough to attack me but I was able to get away. I've been in a ton of storms and took some damage that was easy to repair. I've only seen one whale. Personally, its been ok for me. However, I do have to constantly avoid SOTDs. And some time they are in groups of 6 or more. I've had to leave zones before to get away from them all. It is kind of out aof hand.

For months now I've had a love hate relationship with Early Access. I love that I can pay to play games early and be part of their evolution. However, I hate how long it takes and how much the crying public forces the devs hands into changing thier vision. Early Access itself is ridiculous if you really think about it. Companies are now getting paid for something they used to have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars for before... alpha testing. Just a couple years ago devs had to pay companies to supply testers or hire thier own inhouse testers for alpha testing. Now they can get potentially millions of dollars for a basic skeleton of a game. I understand why it exists it just kinda seems like some devs take thier EA purchasers for granted. I'm not saying grapeshot is... I personally think they are working thier butts off. However I do think they are falling into the trap I mentioned earlier... giving into people screaming and crying about the game. After more thought....Its a fine line they have to tread, stick with thier vision and at the same time listen to those of us that are playing and testing. As a dev do you stop everyone from the projects they are assigned to address the known issues happening in game and thus slow down development? Or do you keep on chugging a long and assign a few less people to hot spots? I'll tell you what... I wouldnt want thier jobs This is just me rambling as I wait for my kids school to let out. Cheers! Because there is no denying it... we are paying to test thier game. I'd like them to treat us as testers and players at the same time.

Well if I were in a company and someone did that I would no longer be in that company. Guilty by association I guess. Can it be exploited to get people banned? Yes, if you're willing to get banned for it too.

This exists, in some ways, on a lot of unofficial servers. It would be cool to have a large official set up this way too! I would try it out.

I agree with Boomer. However, I believe and hope that they will wipe once they are confident all the major exploits are plugged. Who knows tho. This dev team seems to have thier own plan for this game and are sticking with it come hell or high water. So theirs no predicting with them.

I agree with your sentiment but sadly in the case of Atlas the OP is correct. Atlas is over run with very toxic chinese players using hacks and exploits to grief everyone. See my post above... they revel in it. I'm not saying other people aren't doing it too... of course they are but not in the quantity of the chinese. If you don't believe me take a minute and google atlas and chinese hackers and then get a bowl of popcorn and enjoy the next 2 days watching all of the videos confirming this. And that's just the people catching them on video.

2 things: 1. it would be more analogous if they were using thier remote control to control your DVD player 2. Its not kids in china. My friend just got back from living 10+ years in china. Most of these idiots are 20 to 30 years old. They live to ruin games for other players... especially from other countries. They all hang out in gaming cafes for hours and hours every day in between work. That's all they do. If you're not chinese then you're fair game for any sort of griefing even in real life. He would have people try to follow him home to rob him on a regular basis. Before he moved to china he was in love with the culture and language. Now he cant stand china at all. They hate Americans with a passion.

Well said Its mind boggling when people get upset for being punished for being racist in a public game or forum. If you choose to act like a jerk then take your lumps. If it was truly a misunderstanding then appeal it and I'm sure you'll be fine. I doubt that's the case tho. Kids these days think it's funny to be racist. Which is sooooo stupid and childish.

Actually a lot of them are in the pve section because they are pvp and pve combined... and they default to pve when doing that. The one I play on is pve in a couple zones and pvp everywhere else.

I agree with you 100%. I'm 46 with 3 young children that love to watch me play and I cant alt tab to come here because of the lack of a filter. At least in game I can turn off the chat box to filter people.

This is actually not really the case. There are some private servers with a lot higher population and grids of 6x6 already. That's 36 servers because people are creating a coalition of gamers that all pitch in to pay for the costs of the servers. It's making for a really tight knit community on some clusters. Theres even a really well run cluster with pvp and pve and RP. And they have 4 factions they've created thru discord. It's really fun. I predict there will be HUGE unofficial clusters someday with a monthly fee setup to pay for it all. This game will evolve and grow just like ARK did because of the players ingenuity and imaginations... and talented modders of course. Im really hopeful for this game especially now that the devkit is here! I think the next 3 months are gonna be very transformative.

I found an island where just alligators and giant snakes spawned. So I specced into bows fast and then built a nice safe house to sleep in with windows to shoot out of and a roof to shoot from. Once you spec far enough into bows alligators and snakes are super easy. Wolves are so fast I avoid them but there are none on my tropical island.

This is what I came here to say. I will be a trader in a heartbeat once there are mechanics that make it viable. Whether its official or mods I can't wait.
