  1. Ah yes, I remember that fateful day, 1000s of snoring landlubbers in piles in the freeports. It was a sight and sound to behold.
  2. I find water barrels to be very helpful, although the amounts of water a person requires is all wrong when compared to the volume of a barrel. With 100 units being the total amount the players meter needs, considering an actual person needs 2-4L of water a day and a pirate era barrel held ~120L, a barrel should hold more like 3000 instead of 500.
  3. I have noticed that stone arrows now sometimes do 25 damage instead of 36.
  4. I think what Hackjob was trying to say is, who cares, it will be different when you're done. Just build it, then figure it out.
  5. Nothing changes except when you die, if you don't have a bed on a boat, you can't respawn there.

  7. Easy fix would be to have the bow degrade very slowly if at all (like a real bow), but have the string break when it wears out. 10 second string change 0.1 weight /string 10 fiber/string 20 string/stack.
  8. The skills in Wurm also runs rings around this game. (I have a char with multiple 75+ skills, achieved with no magic or sleep powder )
  9. It's EA, Alpha, whatever you want to call it, like UDO said we need to be able to build everything quickly to test things out and tune the balance. "We are 2 weeks in and everything in game is makeable already." This is the point of EA. This test period is not for your benefit, it's for the devs. If you want to grind for literal years, go play Wurm.

  14. Well you literally just said "The game is designed for large groups". I was just noting evidence to the contrary.
  15. If this game was intended for exclusively large groups they wouldn't have put hireable NPCs in the game Percy. In fact, Id say that they DID want solo/small groups to play the game and that's why they did put hireable NPCs and gold in boxes all over the ocean.
  16. I get 5-11 fiber with a metal sickle and only the first higher hand harvesting. But I do think the fiber requirements are ridiculous.

  19. Don't waste points on skills you don't need. Hide and Plate armor, Swords and Pikes at fair prices. Bring your own materials for a deep discount. Prices lower than Davy Jones' locker!
  20. It seems to me they did keep elevated stone/chert/metal, I'm getting 6-7 metal post reduction from a big stone v. 3-4 before boost.
  21. They just turned it off. 25~35 wood from a tree again.
  22. Live in a lawless zone until you're ready. Don't build too big. Just focus on leveling. Don't let the bastards get you down.
