They aren't concerned with numbers right now as they expected numbers to drop further since the wipe announcement. They are looking at peoples comments and suggestions definitely, but numbers are not concerning right now as it was to be expected.

That's what i'm thinking and if it does give a 20 day period like before then i'm happy with that. We don't need constant farming anymore than what we already do.

Yeah specific details are still to come, for example the structure upkeep. I'm assuming here (maybe they confirmed it) but Lawless will remain the same, i.e. 4 days structure decay, but on other islands that will be based on the upkeep structure, which we don't know yet what resources will be required and how long they last.

I like the idea of having 1 home flag. However, i'm wondering if the no build radius that we are going to have is the same radius as a land claim, because if it is then whether we have a flag or not wouldn't make a difference in regards to people building in the area. As for having flags in general, even if it is 1 flag per person/company, then they would still need to resolve the overlap issue. If you look at the new PvP there will be no overlap issue as it is one flag per island. If you look at the new PvE there is no overlap issue due to no flags. One of the biggest problems with flags was the overlap issue and if they can't get around that then i'm not sure how flags would work.

Yup, I suspect this was to prevent the mess of the launch, too many people spawning at freeports. Although unlikely to be as many people this time round. Question is, do you choose to spawn at freeport where it is safe and you can easily build a ramshakle sloop or do you spawn at another island where you might want to settle and risk being killed constantly by wild life before you manage to get a foundation and bed down.

As i've had time to think, i'm back on the fence lol. The only reason i'm on the fence though is no flags in PvE, if there were flags to a degree i'd be certain to return. Just haven't made up my mind yet.

I am chilled dude. Your post said nothing about character wipe. You're just another person complaining about something that won't be changing and throwing someone under the bus like so many other kids are doing.

Why Jat? Why pick on one person? Just because he announced the wipe? LMAO. The wipe is needed end of. This is only a die off until the wipe, then it will grow again. How much it will grow? No-one can answer that yet.

They can't change their minds about the wipe, it needs to happen. March patch won't work without the wipe.

No there has never been an 88% drop. Since before the wipe announcement, there was a 71% drop. After the wipe announcement there was a further 1% drop. The total decline is around 72%. Maybe you can't read charts properly or you just think adding up the negative gain percentages equals the total percentage loss. Either way the loss is 72% as of now.

And you expect the Devs to know the answer to that? You think the Devs knew this wipe was going to happen? If people stop doing something just because their scared of something happening in the future, well no-one would leave their homes.

How would you like to see it addressed?

Although it's tough right now I think you are right. Upset and anger is pretty high right now, but sometimes people forget that starting from scratch isn't all that bad and sometimes fun. Plus we'll all have the knowledge we never had the first time round. Come to think of it, I can't remember, when you start a new can you only spawn at freeports or lawless? Or could you spawn at other islands?

The wipe is not coming before 20th March, people gotta accept that. You may not have the will to keep playing now, but what's wrong with taking a 3 week break from playing? If you lose interest in those 3 weeks then you never really had an interest in playing in the first place.

Yeah it was one of the first games I ever played too! As for the OP, the OP is saying why they don't wipe in a week instead of a month. They are saying the Devs should wipe in a week. The post by the OP has nothing to do with asking why it has to wait or about how poorly the Devs dealt with this, he's asking for it to be wiped in a week. That's why I said what I said. Your points are very valid and I agree with them, but that's not what the OP is getting at. Just the same as Talono, he's saying he agrees and it should be done in a week. My point is not about how it was handled but the idiocy over saying it should be done in a week when there is very clear reasons why it can't.
