Its launch, of an EA game, most issues ive seen are server side too. Give it time, it will get better!

I have yet to login to my personal server since I am at work for the next 4 hours, but from what some other co-workers tell me, it's rather large and there are islands that are visible in the distance. I have looked under steam TOOLS, the root folder itself and on the Nitrado site (Besides google fu'ing it) and I have not located any files/editors available at this current time. I know they said they planned on making guides for this over the next few days but I have seen nothing so far.

Wouldn't it be amazing if one of the developers, or even the cleaning lady, I pretty sure no one would care, gave us an update on what is happening. I am sure they are working on it but it would be nice to feel like we are being seen.

Hey guys i want to talk about an issue that really annoying me and my clan which is about 30ish people. u got the offical server with this huge big map, but in our private server, from what we have seen untill now, its a different map, much much smaller - that only include 4 islands! we took a ship and we basicly in less then 5 mins was hitting the edge of the map with this huge red (not well texture) wall. does people know about it? how come its says those are the same maps? also i spawned both in north and south official servers to check it up, and its seems to have another map different as i stated, then the unofficial servers. please give us more info.

same i cant join any official server. And i have never been able to connect at any point since install. I have never even seen the charachter creation screen.

pretend you're playing an old school early access survival game. Avoid camp fires, see a player and run etc. If you open your map and zoom all the way in and us + on your numpad you can zoom all the way into the map and see a red X for your location. Note it and begin to farm. find a nice dense area you can remember find a large bush and place down a box. PIN CODE it so someone can't just open it. deposit your farms and do it often. try to never be seen going in and out of your box. If you get murdered go back etc etc. farm your mats make a yard then a boat move on in the world to a claimable area.

I played during the ‘streamer premier’ and at that time the game ran great. But let’s be honest here, we all expected that it would run shit in the beginning. I do hope that they will do something about the sleeping bodies, I haven’t seen them but it’s definitely causing lag for people. But by following their twitter, they are working on it.

Same exact error here too. 200 games in my steam library and 2500 hours in ARK and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this message. Even went and upgraded my entire OS seeing if that would fix it but no luck. People are saying it’s an issue with graphics cards not being compatible with DX11 but I know for a fact mine are. Just refund and wait for it to be fixed like I did.

Hello All! As you might have seen, the game is not very optimized. I've made a video on how you can increase your fps / performance inside of the game. There also is a problem with servers where if they get under heavy load they will lock any clients connected to 255 ping causing your textures and server information being loaded very slow also decreasing your performance. Tired of waiting I rather you guys continue to delay a game before release then sit through the tiring and annoying process of the lowest FPS and Worst graphics I have seen my CPU sits at 25% with everything else then my GPU bottlnecks at 99% good meme please fix this damn game.... Also getting 250 ping to US servers btw... In all honesty this reminds me of the Identity release. Take down the game for the games sake and reviews sake because its ruining the game.

Devs have posted they are going to be working on server connections before they give out server files. If the connection issues are server based and seeing as there going up a full patch every time they update i don't think they want players and or server renters to have to update there game every 2 seconds. (saying this shroud and lirik have been on a dedicated server since launch and its the only smooth version of the game Ive seen) as much as id like server files myself i would rather wait till this is ironed out a tad. If you plan on sticking with the game then another day without the server files to fix things wont change anything. Atleast you guys from the US have semi good ping I sit at 400-500 on any server right now

In watching some streams earlier, and browsing some screenshots, it seems that multiple word names are allowed and rather common. I've seen everything from "Popeye TheSailorman" to "Max The Mad Man" however I cannot be sure if these streams/screenshots were on the official build or the streamer build.

I already issued my Steam refund. Perhaps I'll pay for this Ark re-skin once it actually works. So far though I've seen that it's not worth paying for.

I am trying to be calm and patient about the whole situation but when the developers don't issue a statement it kind of makes me want to grab a refund and move on. I have seen many game releases over the years and I must say, this one has been handled quite poorly. So, Atlas people. Are we going to get some kind of explanation from you or do we all have to get refunds and hopefully get you back at your desks fixing this shower. Kind regards, Icy.

No... i've seen many of them in my about 25 Years as a gamer... and yeah... there were never as crappy launches as ARK or Atlas... really never. Even Fallout did even run since first second...

Has anyone seen the Governor?

Haven't seen or heard of them being available yet. I know in the future they will be up but highly doubt it's accessible this early due to all the congestion with logins.

Are you adding tattoos? I've seen streamers get this issue if they play with the tattoo portion of character creation.

I seen the Dino island on the video hope you cant tame that flyer pteranodon because that will be messed up in a Pirate game. The Wyvrens at least you have to work for i would assume. it dont need a flyer that be kinda messed up and take the point out of ships.

Idk i seen live play on YOUTUBE a bit ago i was watching. So i thought it was up already. I was watching them dig for water and things.

Consider that all of this islands is going to look and feel different after we put all this player build content on it. And who cares about that since we're all going to be sailing! I see what you mean here, but the complete map supposed to be huge and I actually don't thing I'll notice that I've seen this stone before.
