  1. If you're at either the wheel or the podium you can hold O to turn on all torches (I use it when it gets cold) and L to extend or retract all ladders.
  2. You'll have to demolish it, but as you're not the original owner I don't know if you can damage or do anything to it.
  3. Still a griefer that doesn't concern himself with building a base.
  4. He's talking about the random griefers that don't actually bother to tame nor build bases big enough to house the animals.
  5. If you use a sextant, it shows nearby sunken treasures, all you need then is a sloop with a diving atachment, plenty of oil to sustain you while you dive and a lantern to see anything in the depths. I'm going to see if my old technique of using full plate mail, alcohol and a big mace still works for treasure maps.
  6. Something tells me they tried to fix the biggest faucet of gold which is farming AOTD in gold age servers and broke the maps while doing so...
  7. This is entirely my personal experience, but what I've seen is that the different types of trees for example, have a max and a min yeld interval. So there is a random factor, but some resource nodes have higher yelds than others.
  8. Doesn't sound realistic, but damn if it doesn't sound fun.
  9. - I happen to be playing solo and at lvl 54, just going to make a sloop now and hunt a couple of whales for the discovery points. - It is indeed, but there's quite a bit that you just need a bit of courage to solo, my next target is to get some powerstones and do a lvl 16 map (all solo) - My ships usually last at least 2weeks and I live in the first row of tundra, could prob last more if I lived 1 grid closer to polar.
  10. No one wants to play with you, go back to PvE.
  11. I don't understand what you're asking, if you mean how high they stack, that's how the game is organized, some resources stack at 5, some at 30, 100, 500 and 1000. if you're having trouble with slots, use a ship resource chest as any resource that goes inside it can stack up to 500000.
  12. Just tested the alcohol, it does make a difference. Drink it 4 times and you'll be harvesting a bit more than before.
  13. The engine does have some flaws and this kind of clipping happens in almost every U4 game I've seen, so if you're having it to often, put the gear inside a box and sink. That being said, it doesn't happen always, so perhaps if she logged off in a place a bit less prone to clipping it won't be an issue. Also, shame on you for not watching her body.
  14. A cap would be much better than what we have now, in both Ark and Atlas.
  15. You die when the person caging you says you die. Would be nice if you actually died after a fixed amount of time.
  16. The whole handcuff thing was bad mechanics in ark and still is here. Want to deny someone? Make a mechanic that makes him unable to use beds in the grid for awhile, not this heap of toxic "feature". I recall in S2 a group of toxic players that got their kicks out of picking offline players and putting them into cages for amusement thx to that none of my friends ever touched this game again and probably won't while they keep this uber griefing mechanic.
  17. Or craft a platemail, a sword or 2handed mace and drink some alcohol before the fight, its how I did and worked fine for soloing, no tames and no friends required.
  18. While the game has an enormous list of shortcomings, respeccing right now is one of the easiest things to do, you get one free respec every time you level up (not addictive), every major balance change and 250 gold for one respec is not much of a hassle with treasure maps, shipwreck diving, sotmd farming, etc. I find diving for shipwrecks in my sloop the easiest way to solo farm gold.
  19. That happened to my friend on a sloop, had to stop the boat for a couple of seconds and then off we went.
  20. Right now Galleons are not the second fastest ship, they are THE fastest ship in the game, and even though this game is far from trying to be realistic, that's quite bad in terms of game balance, strategic design and immersion. If you went back to school you'd learn that Galleons were pretty slow back then. That being said, I have no problems with there being a very fast large ship, as long as it has less decks, and less overall combat capabilities like a clipper for example.
  21. So... have they fixed music to give buffs/debuffs and such when we succeed in their accordion/wardrums hero minigame?
  22. They took down the topics on reddit, but yesterday there were quite a few with 3 cannons per port.
