  1. Yea except I bought the game at launch, played 3 seasons and THEN the devs broke the fucking game... The point that seems to be flying over your head.

  3. Worst season so far. I don't think theres anyone in my company that enjoys being in our main base atm. The grid have gone over the npc limit, you can't tame or breed anything even if you have room in your company limit. The lag is awefull, we got attacked the other day, it was basically just 30 dudes punching air on the beach, people randomly dieing to invisible mortar explosions until the grid crashed 2 times in a row and they couldn't be arsed to deal with the lag anymore. Can't pvp just be players fighting each other? Is that to much to ask for? All they have done is shifted the grinding from the defender to the attacker and made the whole experience lame and laggy.

  5. I remember watching an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where Gordon Ramsay walks into the kitchen and the chef is boiling a burger patty. I had the same reaction when i read the barrel changes in this patch. I honestly can't tell if these Devs are just dumb AF or trolling us.

  7. They removed servers across the board. Both the EU and NA PvP have less servers then they did pre season 4. Despite common belief we do infact have lag issues, tames falling off boats and all the same issues you have on your PvE server. 3 out of the 4 things hes brought up I can live with no problem if they work on actual issues instead. The only concern OP brings up that i would consider an issue is the lag. Constant 2x gathering, reduced NPC cost, farmhouses and 50% of the servers removed. Somehow people spamming the grids into a coma with npcs and buildings causes lag who would have thought? I'd gladly sacrifice a couple of tames a day if it meant fixing lag, barrel duping \ bombing, weapon balance, claim system, progression system and other issues.

  10. Get 9 keys either by have someone else on the boat when you kill the hydra or kill the hydra 9 times then sail 7 grids and deliver the keys...
  11. Its like 1150. The powerstones can be done in 2-3 hours and you can get the rest of them just by jumping lawless islands or doing trenches.
  12. You could get from 80 level to level 120 in like 3 krakens. How they couldn't foresee everyone would just farm kraken and patch that shit out along with the yeti? More to the point if anything this just goes to show how bad the level system is when basically everyone would rather just take the short route. In a normal game the skill tree is there to specialize your character, in this game by the time you have the HP and Stam to be a viable contributor to pvp you basically have every skill in the game so what’s even the point of having a skill tree in the first place if it’s not there to specialize your character? All it does is pve lock pvp content and make a massive gap between new and old players. Not to mention all the other retarded side effects, like time to kill because people have way higher hp then the weapons were originally balanced for..
  13. They have high hp but they don't have high resistance if any, cannons will hit them pretty hard. If you use ships with levelled dmg you'll use less cannonballs aswell.
  14. The devs have historically been exceptionally bad at dealing with these kind of issues. The dupe bug from season 1, guilotine season 2, exp cave season 3 and yeti this season. With the season 2 guilotine bug they could have just disabled the guilotine until they got a fix, instead they left it in for weeks. Its like theres one person in their office that have balls to make a call and he only show up once a month and meanwhile all the other devs just sit around like a bunch of clueless kids rearranging islands.
  15. Pretty sure the company that own the island can sink your ship during peace time. As for capping islands you have two options, ask the company that own the island if you can settle on it or take it by force.

  17. They have obviously done it so its cheaper to defend your base on the pvp server. I suspect with the reduced islands, perma 2x and cheap npcs in a couple of weeks you'll be happy to even get 20 fps on any island.
  18. If you don't limit the frames or your gfx can't reach the fps cap its going to work at 100%. But as long as you have sufficient cooling it shouldnt be a problem. If you really want to do something about it you could cap your fps in the nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings > program settings > probably have to add atlas > Max Frame rate
  19. You can make a new character, join a faction say meet me at xyz and sink their trade boat with your main character on an enemy faction. You will have to go out on a limb for your faction members the same as you would in the current system. The drama you had in those alliances is going to happen the same way in a faction thats just human nature. I am not sure where you are getting at, I am saying there is no reason to attack or fight someone for their materials. Most people are happy that you farm on their island because they get a tax cut from what you farm. There is very little reason to fight over resources in the current system, if the island is hostile to you theres a dozen other islands you can go to, I have never experienced beeing denied a resource. 9/10 people will not attack on the pvp server unless you act like you deserve it. The only materials I have ever seen conflict over is the Iron wood and the thatch on those islands because they are limited to only 3 or 4 islands. If you're in a faction the map won't spawn in another factions territory and this problem won't be the same? I have had to abandon more maps to bugs then because they are on a hostile island and like you said at worst you'll just have to delete the map and move on, I don't understand why this is such a big deal. The blueprints in this game are insane so ofc the good maps need to have some risk to them...

  21. I am saying you are delusional if you think a faction system is gonna make the megas somehow up and dissolve their company, stop being toxic and develop some sense of duty to protect you.

  23. The current system allows smaller companies to form alliances. If one company is attacked the members of the other companies spawn at a bed in the base thats attacked, get invited into the company thats attacked and help them fight. After the battle they return to their company again and go on with their day. I have seen alliances fight off megas more then they have been raided by them x20. So no I don't agree with your "join or be crushed" statement. What does gear matter when the griefer is in your faction blocking your resources with buildings you can't destroy, blocking your buildings so you can't build, making underwater walls so your ship sink when you try to leave port? What is stopping you from joining or forming an alliance and trading within the alliance? You just have to talk to people and set up deals it would be EXACTLY the same.... You don't raid enemies for materials... You raid for gear, bps and gold. Materials are way to heavy to move. The time it takes you to set up a raid, fight someone and sail home you could have just farmed 5 times more on your own and you wouldn't risk any gear or ships... You can't do a treasure maps without a faction system? That does not even make sense, you realise you are gonna have more enemies in a faction system right? In the current system you have a couple of enemies, some friends and a bunch of neutrals so the amount of islands that are actually hostile is only a small percentage of the map. In a faction system depending on how many factions you have atleast 50% of the map will be hostile to you, 66% if you have 3 factions and 75% if you have 4.
  24. You already have factions through diplomacy and i think its more flexible and interesting then a faction system. If you force a faction system on the current groups they are just gonna join as the factions they already have and keep doing the same shit they are doing now. They are not going to go out of their way to protect some random pve nerd just because theres a game mechanic that says you are in the same faction. If you have falling out within the faction whats going to happen? Can they just up and leave? Are they going to start a grief war? What stops someone from just making a second account put it on a different faction and use it to spy or grief the faction? Faction system just seems like the worst of both worlds if you ask me.
