You'll have a timer regardless. Example: I cannot build within my territory, theres someone inside my radius who lives there and continues to build even though the settings disallow it. We live in an allies area. This puts a timer on our items (as if it's a lawless zone) and starts as soon as we log offline, if he were to switch his settings I believe that timer counts regardless of if we would be online or not. I've had someone place pillars and such inside my area and as soon as the pillars were placed the timer was only 30 minutes.

It's a temporary fix, though I agree its poop. Another way around it is to see if the person who owns did boat is online. If they move the ship you clip through and fall off. But it is PVE, where theres "no reason" as son out it to be on a non-friendly boat. Most people dont like randos on their boats anyways, so at least the sinking stories have stopped.

Not necessarily. What if it's a 10 man group who decided that day to go power stone hunting? By the time of the attack theyd probably never make it home depending on where they live.

I think he means more or less, smaller groups can hide easier than large ones. I dont necessarily think griefing. If you're in PVP then expect it as most PVP is toxic when people get to comfortable and forget PVP is no holds bar. To get upset because your base was wiped while offline makes no sense. Whomever is attacking probably has no idea you're even offline and just sees a base. Dont like the outcome? Adjust. Every game is made with adjustment in mind. Thought you could handle PVP and cant? Well good thing theres PVE. Tired of the same old Officials? You're given unofficial. Wanna ruin someones life but can't cause PVE forbids it? Head on over to PVP.

To the guy saying small or solo isnt meant to happen, To be fair, Jat himself said small tribes and solo players will rule this game. Just because something is labled MMO doesnt mean huge groups and non solo play are a must. It just means theres tons of people to interact with. As with most games in early access, they always wipe every few months. I'd be shocked if they didnt do that here.

#1. Will there be a way to remove inactive leaders from a company after a certain time? #2. What are the plans, if any, to promote the game as it's intended with land claims? #3. Are there any plans for actual animal level balances? (ie. a level one doing half health damage on one hit, Alphas running rampant and teaming up, making animals actually fight each other some way other than just going after seaguls once in a while.) #4. Will there be better flag coverage for placements? Currently there's tons of gaps between territories people could use, but because it's between flags there's not enough space. However, a neater system could quell those complaining about space.

Before I get started, I'm aware the content within this topic might be triggering to some people who are very upset by the lack of land and I apologize. Moving on. I have recently found an available piece of land near me, and when I try to place the flag it remains Blue (allowed to place) but wont place down. I've run around this area for the better part of 45 minutes and tried relogging, but it wont place even though it says I'm able. I had a flag there last night, but it was just thrown out before I had a chance to think it through, more or less a "WOOHOO LAND! Try and put a flag" kind of deal. I'm curious if anyone has had this issue, or know a work around for something not working when it should?

The ships in general after being released from t he crafting docks take small damage, if you wanna see it as age, that's another way to look at it, but without regular upkeep they might have just had that issue.

I use two Medium speed sails and we fly by everything. A SOTD can't rotate fast enough to get us once we pass it (if we end up being in its aggro range)

essentially a few things can happen: 1. They are being sunk when you're not around, or without your knowledge. (you said this is unlikely, but I'm just making the list) 2. Someone Lured a SOTD to an area where your boats were. 3. Water tornado's damaged the crap out of them when you were offline. 4. It's taking damage over time from not being anchored. 5. There's a hole somewhere and your ship is taking on water slowly. There's just a few I have found that I have lost my ships to. if none of those are sounding plausible, I'd make a support ticket.

Implying they actually care about one customer when thousands of others are still playing. Regardless of a reason to leave, 90% of those who left will be back, it's ignorant to think otherwise. They just like taking their time, it's no blame on those who title their topics such a way.

What we did is all the companies in my area built a death trap. Anything that's annoying and all over the place we strip naked and go on a suicide mission to lure it to the trap. This also stops the spawns because the game registers the animals as moving and active. It helps quell the crazy dangers around us.

I think a work around is based on the wood used to craft a floor for you to put the plot on. I've been seeing people in my server begging for different woods "for gardening" and I think that's how they are doing it. Granted it all looks the same, but maybe that's an easy fix?

See, there's my issue currently, I have my flags set to not allow anyone in there, in attempts to remove this guy but he's still there. Are you on PVP? Maybe they blew you up?

So, I tested this last night, some guy had an island spot near me but the flag was contest-able. Heres what went down: I placed my flag next to his. "Stealing land" message pops up. I check both flags. On his flag I see "Declaiming flag: 5:23:42" on my flag I've got the 10 minute countdown waiting till the flag is finished for actual stealing. Heres the outcome: He had a couple of storage boxes inside this little area and as soon as the claim was complete, it worked and i now own those boxes. So my question to the Devs are: If it worked so flawlessly that time, why is it i still have someones house inside my property. I'll give it maybe it's because he built before the new system was in place. I'll even give you that he was maybe there first. But once that became my land and I was able to change the settings via the new patch, why is he still there? Will a countdown timer begin to be active? Will a decay timer kick in if hes moved to a different part of the island? Cause that kind of griefing to me is worse than sinking my boat. Hes making it so I cant live anywhere.

are you solo playing fully, or do you have a random friend or team mate with you? Reason I ask, is what I do, is I take their sleeping body, build a 2x2 house and throw them in there to sleep. That way they are contesting if anyone walks by, and the claim isn't interrupted. (that's one of the reasons my old tribe leader is still in the group, we just toss their body around.)
