  1. Yes this is badly needed. I hate that I have to bump my brig's rump right into the shallows
  2. The tallest tames we can tame are only 6 walls tall. We do not need a gate that spans 12 walls high for this. Give us at LEAST a 3 wide, 6-7 wall high gate so we can get tames through. There is out right no need for a 8 wide, 12 high gate like we have now.
  3. Plus freeport sloops always have the same designs. 2 speed sails, and a single ceiling space for the deck.
  4. This is reportable and goes against the code of conduct for greafing. there was an issue like this on an island in our zone with a company foundatoning in someones new clame and it got reported. it took a week but out of the blue all the foundations and buildings and ships went poof. it all got admin wiped.
  5. We saw that too and just left. There was no hope.
  6. And its due to this issue that I am stuck living in a small section of a lawless zone. Because as someon e who has a life outside the game, a full time job, and so on, I can't be bothered to sit for 6 hours trying to claim land. I've tried it, for three DAYS just sleeping inside the clame I'm trying to contest while in my ship. Even with the low pop the timer still kept getting reset. I gave up as it was just pointless. Then you have the companies that are set up come to the lawless and make fun of all the people living there, rubbing salt into the wound.
  7. They likely couldn't hear the snoring anymore. A godsend for some of us
  8. On top of that the top 10 companies are rated purly by how many land claim flag's they can spam out, even if its one settled in the middle of the ocean. All the top 10's listed just have a island or two under control than a mass of flag's scatterd across the map randomly. There needs to be some sort of limiting factor to how much land you can have. right how the game is mostly about how much land you can own
  9. They should make a zone in front of the docks that prevents placment of other structures to stop this kind of thing, and acts like a freeport zone, so ships take boosted damage that are not in the same company to discurage people from blocking in with boats.
  10. I have sailed through them before. Heck I'm currently settled in A9! https://map.playatlas.com/ Look at the live map. On NA PVE The company East India Trading has A8 under control. Theres both the 'user map' and live map side by side (granted I cant make the live map have the same zoom level) But you can match the island shaapes. You can see the A10 freeport's 4 matching island cluthers at the bottom. Than the lawless above that thats A9 where I'm settled, and then A8 controled by one of the top 10 companies. And it is also cluttered with a bunch of smaller groups Above that is A7, another lawless. You can also further view lower on the live map and see flag spam all through out A14 and A15, so those can't be lawless. So you tell me what is wrong, the wiki, or the user map? Because if its the users map, than the live map is also wrong.
  11. But at the moment you have smaller groups of players, some even solo, claiming whole islands for themselvs. I've passed by a few islands that had a single player to them. That happily admitted they were solo and it 'sucks to be me' for not having any land and them not wanting to give any up. This was before the tax change, and I becha they are sitting back happy knowing they don't have to farm as much. That's a huge chunk of land that could be freed up for players if they could only have 1 flag's worth of land area. The game shouldn't be so focused on having as much land as you can muster, not with how limited the land space is. If a company is really 20 players strong, then sure, if they felt they could control such then fine. But keep in mind the more flag's you have down the faster the timer hits. So maybe instead of 1 extra flag per person, each solo starts with 1 but you need X amout of players in a company for the company to place down another. If you merge into one company with land already you only keep the land claimed by the company founder so it frees up space and prevents you from cheezing the system by having everyone start out solo to claim as much as they can. Plus look at the live map. https://map.playatlas.com/ on NA PVE the biggest company Atlas Struggled has a single island, but a LOT, and I mean a LOT of random flag's scatterd all over the world. I doubt they have 100's of players Just look at the insane amount of nonsense that is. It's not just limited to what is shown, they have flag's EVERYWHERE, in nearly every single zone. You can brows through the map and find random flag's of theirs scatterd all over! If there is not some kind of limit factor added it wont be long before the whole game world is controls by just the top 10 companies with nowhere else for anyone to go. Plus I still don't think a company should be in the top 10 purly by how many flag's they can spam out at sea.
  12. The wiki is wrong. You can see it yourself, it clames that A6 is a freeport, and that A7 is lawless. that is correct. Than it says A8 is lawless. That is not correct. Only the zones directly off of a freeport, north, south, east and west are lawless. The next freeport south is A10, that means A9 is lawless. A8 sits between them, and is a normal map. Theres a screen shot from the map I linked. I have also sailed through these areas myself looking for land, and can conferm A8 is not lawless. Theres a shot for A14 and A15. Just the fact these are two zones next to each other can tell you that they both cant be lawless, not when the only freeport close to them is C14, a freeport that was where I first started at. The only cluster of lawless that do touch are on the other side of the map, due to L5, L8, M7, M9, and J9 all being freeports. This makes a rather huge chain of lawless islands.
  13. There is a general font you can install that will allow you to see the chinese names. it makes the font for everything a bit big but it helps in reporting people. https://the.biggest.cat/index.php/2017/07/25/install-ark-font/ its for ark but it also works for atlas. Using it to report one of the two big companies in the lawless zone we are on that has been sinking ships to try and force players off so they can claim the whole island with foundation spam.
  14. It is just far too out of hand right now with all the flag spam everywhere. I would like it more if you could only place 1 flag per person, or rather 1 land claim and 1 smaller water claim . That way you can only have as much land as you can manage by your company size. This would allow the players who like the solo challenge or the smaller groups of friends (like mine that's 6 strong) a chance to find land to own and defend. Plus encourage those that want to try and get big to recrute players. Let the real big top 10 companies that get shown on the live map TRULY be big mighty companies and not just be rated by how many flag's they have spammed across the world. Plus on PVP the solos and smaller groups have a chance of defending their land as the game will be more about breaking in and raiding people,ya know, real PVP and not about trying to force people out so you can plant even more of your own flags and claim even more of the game world for yourself. Even the new tax system hasn't fixed the issue, but instead has made the spam even worse. You don't need to build on the land to be taxed. Just traveling to an area and gathering gets up to 30% of everything you gather taxed. I don't get why they thought the tax system would help give players more areas to find land to build on. It's just made people more greedy to own every inch of an island, and if that island has a rare resource? All the better! I've had my own freeport sloop sunk when I came to an island to hunt for food, that was taxed, and told to leave. Forcing me to restart yet again. Many a player are greedy, they want all the land for themselvs, but now they get free resources to boot (if they allow people to be on their land)
  15. People don't care. They want the land/islands all to themselvs only. I've already watched one person come over and sink my freeport sloop and told me to get lost just for coming ashore to kill some rabbits for some meat. Forcing yet ANOTHER start over.
