  1. Lucky propably or different island with different spawning. As for SoD, there can be almost none (yesterday transported iron from grid to grid, saw only 3 SoDs and only far away, none even on the grid barrier), or there can be a wall of them, once had 7 of them on the screen and that's with all those reduced spawn rates, they also camp grid barriers so hard that it was such a suprise when yesterday didn't meet any as already multiple times poped out into 3+ SoDs, 2 times even right next to them and only lived thro all those encounters bcs raft have low agro radius, if it was anything bigger, that would be already on the bottom of the ocean.
  2. What about pvp or random passengers. How would ship repel "invaders", teleport them into air?, bcs how would it know where is safe for that player.
  3. But don't they just make ships flying insteed of damaging?, 66% damage reduction doesn't mean anything if they kill just by launching ships into space.
  4. 1. They don't need public containers, simply grab tons of stone and hop on by self with friends or drop the resources on the deck and run for more if needed an come back before 2 minutes expire, hiding machines only makes it slightly harder for them, if thou art going to gather resources or sleep or have a life after all, that ship is already gone. 2. Fix?, there is a simplest fix that someone can imagine, suggested it already like 3 times over the forums. Just remove crew limit, make each person weight 60-70kg and make so weight doesn't sink ships anymore, just makes them stop in place. See, that's so easy, now weight limits crew so crew is still limited and also there is no stupid sinking from weight so if the ship actualy siks, that's bcs we "poked a bear" and got cannons in the face.
  5. The game is fun, as long as 3-5 predators don't pop out every 5 minutes all arround when trying to cut a tree.
  6. Hunger and vitamins don't go down while sleeping, so unless someone kills the sleeper, better go online and endure it,
  7. Untill they fix this bs..., place an extra one tile of buffer, away from the machines, lockers etc and try putting stuff level higher than the bottom walls.
  8. Well..., what about SoD damage, how much would it deal to a lvl 1-10 SoD? (would prefer exact numbers like cannons do 1300 so balista does?, insteed of "low")
  9. Gattling is somewhere at the bottom of artillery tree.
  10. Lol?, knew cannons were ineffective against living creatures but that much? Try balista maybe, they are supposed to be used against whales (atleast think so?) so they should have a good creature damage.
  11. The game wouldst be more fun if there would be no faster than player predators (speaking mostly about their alpha versions, if having an alpha spawn on top or somewhere where having no water to jump into in time, just accept death, that's instakill from predator alpha in 1 hit even with equilibrium buff), no 3 wolves spawning every 5 minutes so to cut 5 trees down have to kill around 3 of them each trip... and the trip is basicaly right behind the house bcs only have 2 flags. They bite buildings and ships too and sometimes can even get stuck in them, by stuck mean they won't change target unless will hug them and if they lose agro by for example jumping into water or dying, they go back to biting that building, thankfuly having stone so break those shity teeth all day long, just let us hit their goddamn head since that's inside the walls. They also spawn on top of players, today had one spawn while minign a rock, died bcs in panic missed all 3 shoots and the frozen in water... then when came back and killed it, 3 more came and died. This is a predator culling simulator not a mmo survival game, there's nothing to survive. Already have 1 large storage box full of hides and bones and constantly using those resources to fix tools, armor etc so just imagine how many have to kill all the time.
  12. Wolf wilt die as fast as seconds, sorry to break it but there's multiple predators spawning every 5 minutes, that wolf would not even regenerate health before more enemies would come.
  13. Cheaper ships is not the right direction, more expensive but more durable ships are the right direction. Ppl wouldst not complain about lossing ships if they didn't sink in 10 cannon balls, medium plank have 2x less health than a frickin raft and a cannon does 1300 dmg, so do the math. Don't want to build meaningless glass cannons, want to put effort ina ship that gonna name, outfit as best as can, take care of and sail for prolonged time that is not 1 minute of battle and either side is already sinking.
  14. Yarr... would be nice to know and bumping... Wiki says they deal 750 dmg to wood, does that count SoDs, what about whale or other creatures damage? Also can they actualy be placed in gun ports at all or only on the deck?
  15. He also lost a brig lvl 40 that aparently was destroyed in 1 hit so there is that.
  16. The whales are fine (as long as they don't one-shot or something, would prefer them to deal damage to ships, not make them flying), but they simply have no restriction from shores like SoDs, as said above, they literaly can swim on top of islands and they don't take damage from that not to mention that's absurdal. They also agro on docked ships bcs of no restrictions.
  17. Cheaters don't care about any height or thickness of walls. Same goes for offline raiding.
  18. Then: 1. Suspecting wrong, those areas are next to freeports. 2. With flintlocks those things are somewhat managable but being ambushed is just lossing half to full health even from one wolf bcs their attack sspeed combined with damage and knockback wilt throw thou and the aim like a beachball, just f... their attack speed, srsly. 3. Not all predators are equal, wolves and lions are faster than player while other predators are not, they are also stronger and attack faster and have some special abilities (wolves have knockbak, lions have super jump making aiming for the head radiculous and also grab players which means constant damage without a way of dodging, but atleast easy headshot), giant snakes are a joke predator, they are slower, the poison does nothing with high fortitude and their attack speed is not of a machine gun. Crocs are slow on land but are huge, tanky and aparently can hit across a mile. 4. Their spawninig speed, thou canst murder 5 of them, be almost out of health and 5 minutes later they are back. 5. There's nothing to save thou if there is an alpha wolf or lion charging in and there is no water atleast few steps from that point, alpha predators one-shot meaning exploring deeper from the shore is asking to die. The other animals alphas also have problems even if they can't catch up to the player, they are still super tanky, they still heal up if they change target and eat something, they deal abnormal damage to structures that is not stone and there is nothing a player can do to stop an alpha from destroying their home if the building is not yet made of stone other than suiciding outside and hoping the alpha will stop attacking the building.
  19. And some super powers as attack speed, movement speed, knockback and super jumping as wolves and lions have.
  20. Got few ideas, not all of them will be exacly about on sea life but most of them. Will start with ships, right now the patch says that after monday ships gonna be up to 50% cheaper and also we got that 2x resource bonus (which was not necessary outside of fiber realy as everything needs insane amounts of fiber). What want to suggest is reverse to making ships cheaper, make them much more expensive but make them last longer than 1-2 salvos. Right now all ships are just glass cannons, like 1 minute and one side is over. Medium planks right now have 2x less health than a frickin raft. Wish the ships actualy had a meaning other than suicide spamming them, don't want to build 5 schooners that die in 1 minute, want to build a schooner that survived even up to 10 minutes of bombardment, that's not like ships were sinking from few cannon balls irl, unless they hit the near bottom part of the ship. Basicaly what asking for is make planks have like 5x more health than now if not better. The battle that is won by steamroll in 1 minute is not fun, a battle that exhausted both sides and both struggled evenly matched that included many activities on the ship as reloading, transporting ammo, healing crew, extinguishing fires, boarding, constantly operating sails and the wheel and checking the captains skill of navigation, that would be much more interesting. What's next that want to suggest to the above, different kinds of planks, a light wood plank that would make the ship lighter and faster but at the cost of plank health and negative armor (they would take more damage per hit), the other type of planks would be armored ones, very heavy, more health than normal planks and most importantly would have a positive armor (they would take less damage per hit), such ship with heavy planks also would move very slowly so for the price of being tanky, it would have o take any engagment thrown at it as a tradeoff and could be swarmed by tiny fast ships. Ships could be customized also to have multiple different planks, if someone plans to only fight from one side, they could have those armored planks on that side and normal/light ones on ever other side. The other thing that would like to suggest that is now about on sea living is construction of platform, something like a mega raft, the platforms would have infinite weight capacity but they would not be able to build infinitely, a set cap size so no floating towers or islands. The construction would start in the middle of the sea. They by themselves would claim area arround themselves, however the claim would be barely going outside of the platform to prevent overlapping. The platforms would have alot of helth and maybe possibly even allow different kinds of platforms like with ship suggestion above? The platforms would not be able to build stone, that's too heavy to just make a town out of stone floating on the sea, walls and platforms could either be normal wooden, reinforced with iron or something. The platforms could maybe, just maybe be allowed to have sails?, so such mega rafts could after few real life days travel to another grid with good winds, imagine even having such thing crawling slowly on the horrizon as it gets nearer and nearer to the shore to bombard! There would be no "front" of the platform, the sails would push the platform in the direction they are rotated and the platform won't propably leave the shore for many many days, maybe weeks, considering shallow water slows ships down significantly. The platform would be allowed to build a special kind of small shipyard that allows building sloops insteed of rafts. Addition of this would enhance life on the sea, would create a new "land" to claim for newcomers, would add a new type of playstyle for players. The only problem that can see with this outside of struggles with surviving against whales/SoDs is technical problems as crossing the grids, how would it work?, would server be able to handle a fully developed platform pasing by without crashing? Now something that is not about ships, venom arrows could be nice, killing poisonous creatures and coering arrows with the poison, crafting of them would be somewhere deeper in the archery tree, they would deal extra DoT damage, maybe some other debuffs as slowing target for the duration?, and also add the stun meter or torpor, whatever that is called like when snakes bite. Please add tiny islands all arround with territory for up to like 3 flags max, they could work as an outposts or a territory for small companies or merchants, they would also add to the endless sea between those big clumps of rock and dirt. Please make that traveling is more beneficial, right now islands almost have all resources on them and traveling only for like 1-2 different resources. Before the came went live, imagined self as a merchant of some rare resource aviaible on our island but right now, everyone can do just whatever on their main island without interacting with anyone else in trade. EDIT: Also would like to suggest to devs a possible solution to ppl griefing by putting to much weight on ships or hoping on with too many ppl and sinking them, that's especialy for the PVE part as there is literaly no prevention to that as of right now. Remove the crew limit, make ppl actualy have weight, 60-70 kg per person maybe. And then make so weight doesn't sink ships anymore but just makes them stop in place. With this no one will ever be able to sink ships anymore, especialy that the sinking with metal tools was already patched.
  21. Hey, anyone tried balistas yet?, was thinking if not make a schooner with balistas insteed of cannons in the gun ports but not sure how effective balistas are.
  22. Whales have no restriction like SoDs to not get near the shores, so they sometimes are found near the shore... swimming against the island...swimming on top of hills on the island. Srslly, 2 days ago had path blocked off by a whale and before that wind change , going arround it would make us go against the wind so can't do that. It was behind a tiny islandy part next to the main island, those were separated by a tiny river like part of ocean so decided will go there..., the whale tried to chase by swimming on top of that tiny island but got past it thankfuly. Last days seen few such situations, even seen yesterday a shipwreck with a whale swimming on top of it and sometimes trying to climb the island.
  23. Blueprints are just an extra grind for up to like 30% stats boost...wooo.... The ships sink in 1-2 salvos, those "scary galleons" are just a oversized rafts, the building of ships is not much fun when we just get glass cannons that pack a punch but get wrecked in seconds. Planks should have like 5x more health and there should be different types for either lighter build to move faster or heavier and tankier, covered in some iron plates to add up damage resistance and some health.
