  1. Actually.. it doesn't work for ships. Non Admin ranks cannot break structure or remove items on ships, not even those they make themselves.
  2. Been buggy as hell for weeks. Esp the left hand/port side rope ladders on galleons. But then galleon is still broken at the front as well.. so..
  3. This is a case for larger animals. Elephants, Giraffes and Rhinos. Sometimes I can "sprint" the animals over them, but atm, I cannot get them into the protective pens, because they cannot step up onto the foundations/ramps. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1775918103 Giraffe on follow, on lowest distance. Unable to walk into pen. Oddly enough, after I died and respawned, I was able to walk the giraffe in myself mounted, but almost immiediately it broke again.
  4. I have a problem, everytime I open skills trees or crafting menus, the tooltip is often off the side of the screen. I suggest then that the tooltip box be a freely moving object, that pops only onto the viewable area of the players screen and can be moved around with the mouse pointer so it can be more easily read. Even for the box to be extended by the mouse pointer, so that when they have many items contained, you can actually see the entirety of the tooltip at the same time.
  5. It's quite funny that people will ridicule others for not caring for a tame, when the issue is actually a bug in the game development, that the devs have now fixed. Except, that this isn't just an issue for tames on boats.
  6. It really isn't. I'd suggest the easiest way, it to make a moderate sized taming area. Lead the elephant into it, then tame with bear. Otherwise, you just spend all day chasing the elephant all over the island.
  7. How many people are making alts to falsely inflate their companies and to generate false taxes in their own settlements?
  8. If you have the points to spare there are. Or gold to spare to keep switching etc I actually need to travel to a different island once or twice a week to get berries because there's a half dozen locations on my entire island. Given the ease of getting meat, fish, milk and veg.. there's no reason why we can't grow berries.
  9. This is still a massive issue. I cannot build a dock on a settlement island as a tenant. Another tenant has a shipyard about 1000m away, I can build foundations on the island right up to about 100m from his base, but I cannot place a foundation or piller in the water for over a 1000m is insane. We've checked the area extensively using a sub and diving suit using K to search under the map, there are no other pillers etc. Just the shipyard. He does also have buildings on the "land" of the island. But those don't affect what's in the water. If I try to place a foundation for example 100m from his base, next to the water, as the water rises, I get the "can't build due to enemy foundation" error msg, but if I wait for the water to recede, I can then build the foundation. So the issue is something to do with how water based foundations/pillers/shipyards etc effects the surrounding area within the areas covered by water. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1774810858 This shows the issue. His shipyard is beyond the house and can't even be seen in the view, but it is affecting all the sea area around his base over a massive area. The flag you can see in the distance.. is my flag, sitting on my foundation. If I build a "dock" as a line of thatch for example, with pillers leading down from the ceilings they are allowed to connect in the water, as the ceilings are above the water. But once a piller is being placed underwater, the error msg occurs blocking further expansion. Which shouldn't be the case. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1774814662 This is the closest I can build in the water. Nearly 10x the distance I can build on the land. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1774819515 You can't even see the neighbours sea/land structures from here.
  10. Nope. I know the difference. If I select the tame, then select for example it's current Passive state and try to click on Attack YOUR Target it will not set to this stance. It will only allow Passive, Neutral, Aggressive or Passive Flee. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1774801933 Results in: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1774802009 In this instance the Tiger was set to Neutral, I tried to set to Attack YOUR (my) Target and it just went to Neutral again.
  11. I think it is the process of patching the game that causes this. I was in a freeport other day to get the bow ornament and a reskill soup and the game was being patched in 10mins.. so i just logged out there, also a guy just got a ramshackle sloop maybe an hour before, we were talking alot about the game, he was asking for tips etc when we got the msg about the patch. When I logged back in after the patch, his ramshackle sloop had been sunk. It was only there for about an hour total. There's been a few patches lately, maybe the same thing is happening here. Btw.. what does cheat TP M2 -447044 -17457 213 this mean? I've seen people putting this kind of thing in reports, but have no idea what it refers to.
  12. This is likely why people are able to duplicate many items, because when a computer is lagging to a server, it is quite easy to exploit the effect to duplicate items. To replicate, load atlas. Wait until atlas loads menu, hit join/rejoin, whilst atlas is loading, login to different steam account, start new atlas executable, load into a different account. The stress generated by the pc allows exploits. Obviously to do this easily you need a decent pc. But the more of a potatoe you have actually makes it easier to exploit. As a potatoe generates more stress, desyncs, lag etc. The dups use 3rd party software as far as I am aware, incl aimbots etc. Personally I don't load them. I don't cheat etc. But I am aware that this is how it is being done, having listened into discord chats detailing precisely how to do it. And ingame conversations with other players. The simplest method of removing this issue, would be to create a check for an already running game and just exit it. or exit any further attempts to run the game. This could present a problem trying to run a server on your own pc, then attempting to connect to it via your atlas browser. If such can be done, just guessing as I do not know specifics.
  13. I don't think getting rid of vits is the answer.. but I do feel we either should remove fruits/orange vits or be allowed to grow fruits/orange vits. Because living on a ship, where you cannot find any.. is kinda stupid design.
  14. Those I use from time to time. The main problem atm is Attack my Target which doesn't work at all. But the real issue is tames have aoe attacks. Not singular attacks, so using whistles near tames is a bad idea anyway. And I think nuts you're downplaying how bad it is, I've watched dozens of people fail at taming, within a few attempts. Most just kill and quit. I don't quit, but I do feel the need sometimes to pass on my feedback on a given issue. There's people in my company who just flat out refuse to even try it again, because of their own experiences. So trying to make out that taming is "easy" because you've managed it on a few occasions does not mean all tames are easy. There are tips and tricks, but they won't help with every tame. Overall, taming is extremely frustrating often to the point of tedious. I find it quite insulting that most people will disregard difficulties, because they are afraid of telling the truth and will try to make out about how easy something is or fun it was, to make them look more important and amazing etc.. well there are equally those of us, who even tho they will not accept failure as an option, will also admit that sometimes it hurts and it makes us angry. And we're not afraid of telling the truth. For example.. trying to tame a Giant Tortuga, in the water, with a bear.. that's alot of running around, chasing and "Too much health to bola" msgs. We tamed two of them in one day. It could be made easier.. less frustrating. All I'm saying. In Ark for example, when you tame something, aggressive dinos do not spawn near you. Only passive dinos. In atlas, it almost seems as tho only aggressive animals spawn near you.. it's almost as though atlas is designed to frustrate you.
  15. By ark content, I mean the identical ark content. ie all the wheel commands etc and update them to make some semblence of common sense. Like why after years of Ark and now Atlas.. is there still no difference for the ai to differenciate between actually wild aggressive animals and passive ones? I thought it was just lazy devs in Ark, but it's quite obvious now that the lack of common sense has carried on into grapeshot. Why even have land based crew manning cannons and swivel guns etc if all they do is waste all the ammo on fish and pigs?
  16. On the pve servers all bodies vanish on log out, I assumed it was to stop them lagging the server out etc. It was done after the freeports were covered in bodies a couple of weeks after original release. I assumed it was also done on the pvp servers. But I did state quite clearly, in my Original Post.. "From a pve standpoint" I take it that noone knows any of the answers to my questions.
  17. Yeh like a sort of pre auto demo period, so 10days later it becomes free for all, then on the 12th day it auto demos. Giving people 48 hours to loot it.
  18. Doesn't matter if I use wheel or whistles. Creature commands or otherwise, my tame or other company tames. I cannot change attitude to attack my target at all. I can use Passive, Neutral, Aggressive. And Attack this YOUR target.
  19. You can also hover, just outside of it's attack range, wait for it to breathe in then you'll see option to feed. This is the safest way. But you'll need to bola it more and use more feeds.
  20. A/B 3-6 usually has carrots, onions, peppers, turnips sometimes etc
  21. If you're on a pve server.. maybe you'd do better in a pvp one. The auto destruct feature cleans up the server off all the mess non players leave behind, frees up space for other active players to use and for resources to spawn. If people cleaned the areas after looting the abandoned houses, autodemo wouldnt even be needed. But it is clear that besides me and a dozen others.. noone cleans old houses. Your time is so precious. We need autodemo and we also need to see our own demo timers and esp our own tame timers. It's messed up developing for sure.
  22. Of course I have no experience of pvp.. I've only be playing pvp games for longer than you've been alive. I know exactly what you want, you just won't admit to it.
  23. The number of beds has nothing to do with the bug. Wether I have 1 or 50. I cannot use fast travel at all to return. If I wait 2 hours and try, I still cannot. I have to kill myself every time and even then, it doesn't always let me travel. It often spawns me on a random location in a random region or in the target region or it just crashes the game.
  24. I disagree. Atm the sotd fleets get "bored" of you so fast, you have to literally stop and swivel on the spot to keep them aggro'd on you. Unless you're afk sailing, sotd are absolutely no threat to you. Upgrade your ships planks for better defense. Stay at the wheel to evade. I will admit, that hitting a sotd fleet zoning in can be bad, last night I zoned into 2 galleons and 3 brigs, with 2 more brigs about 200m in. All of them pumping hot iron at me and they did about 3k damage to my planks. 5k to one or two. I just hit V on zoning.. and calmly turned full with the wind and sailed away. The stopped at an island and repaired.. then carried on. This is how bad it actually is now. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1773647042 I am fully stopped in the water and the sotd have lost aggro. And they are literally just out of max cannon range for medium cannons. If I could place large cannons on my chasers.. I could sink them whilst they were sailing "away" from me.
  25. If you didn't care about winning or losing.. why are you demanding more speed, why does it matter if you get there faster to lose? Your argument makes no sense. You want to get to your enemies faster. So you can kill them faster. To then get to more enemies faster.. but what about their needs? Isn't your inability to sail faster their defence? Don't they have a right to that time period? Or is the game only here for you. You don't want to spend another 100 hours.. well bully for you. Maybe your "enemies" or "victims" don't want to spend another 500 hours rebuilding because people keep appearing out of nowhere to annihilate them. Building advance bases and employing more crew.. is part of the gameplay. Maybe instead of charging off to wipe people out, you should make alliances, organise with people to have friendly fights at designated places and times. That way, you won't need to keep sailing off to ignorantly beat someone to death with their own arms.. but that's what you really actually want. This is why people keep coming back to the I win Now button because that is, what you actually want. You just continually refuse to admit to it.
