  1. And less tames but more ship types. Instead of freaking torpedos.
  2. There is a big difference between wipes that are needed (corrupt data, bugs etc) or just bad, unorganized development of a rushed game. If they would wipe every 2-3 months when they finally caught up with the island models and get ridd of the copy n paste part we have now, that would be a different story. And so far i expect them to do that.
  3. It is always easier to wipe, less work. I get the last wipe, it was needed and i was ok with that. Still we never got an actual statement what their plans regarding this are. Even if it will ofc never be guaranteed it would at least show their intentions. A lot of people i know quit only for that reason and their bad trackrecord. Oh and everytime they make changes to the grid and islands they have to wipe if its about islands people built on.
  4. Too late for most, including myself. As long as you treat the "live" Servers like a PTR/early alpha too i cba to start over on yet another server. If there is a clear statement that you try not to wipe the live Servers until release at least, id be happy to. Otherways no dice. Its effort on our side. Give us something in return.
  5. No point to argue with someone who starts out with "wrong lol". Read what i wrote, google it until you get it. Check how to approach that data statistically in a correct way. If you get it and have an actual argument, feel free to drop me a line. Or in your words.. "no, lol".
  6. The steamcharts do not provide enough data about distinguishable events to make any of your above assumptions (other than the pointless day/night peaks). Plus you have never actually played the game you keep complaining about. You have no idea how the difference plays out, dont know any people who play it nor do you see the ingame chat and what people talk or complain about. So yeah, literally everyone who logged once is more qualified than you to talk about that topic. You are however giving a good reason why posting here should be connected to owning the game. Would also fix the spam bot problem.

  9. Yeah because you totally get to chose. I played on the official PvP servers, its not so much about skill most of the time, its about who exploited better for gear. Still not a Pirate game about Sea Battles or big sieges, hell the engine couldnt even handle thst anyway. Not getting rid of them is one thing. How GS handles them another. I avoid the PvP community on purpose, thanks. News flash, the game is dead. Merging wont fix it. Fixing the reasons people leave might. Like adding ships instead of more tames. Or making use of the Crew instead of having a whole Zoo of tames for the daily business. Or fixing the flaws instead of adding freaking torpedos or Subs.
  10. Drop your delusions that not wanting to PvP is about "safe little boxes" and that only you PvPers play the "real" gane. Im not interested in what GS calls "PvP". Most of the time no skill involved, afk raids and grieve fest with tons of exploits and hacks. They cant handle it. If it ever becomes a balanced playfield free of chinese hackers and aimbotters we can talk, but i wouldnt hold my breath.
  11. Or dont. There is a reason some of us avoid the exploit and grieve fest that PvP is. We have seen how Wildcard/GS handles PvP, im good, thanks.
  12. Yes, its a pointless timesink that drives a lot of players away. It forces you to commit quite a lot of time in one session to get anything done.

  14. Everytime i demo a part in the area some tiles over water seem to vanish. probably connected to the code changes to reduce lag from buildings...

  16. Yeah it sucks how they went from 2-3 weeks afk time (PvE) to 10 days without a word. But then again.. no one wanted the crappy island claim system in the first place. I guess they greatly overestimate the fun factor of their game.
  17. Not the point. If you are in a small company (or solo, like a lot on PvE) you end up spending way too much time doing maps. The system is crap for PvE already as it is. The change made it worse. The whole PvE part is scaled for the playerbase they would like to have, not for the actual amount they have. And it is rapidly declining, a lot of people only log for maintenance already.
  18. Did 2 maps and only got the normal gold amount... Is this a bug or a enormous gold nerf? The reduced gold costs for crews would be a joke if you decrease the income at the same time... Also makes the island costs a bit brutal, at least for PvE...

  21. And thats so much fun, especially with zero wind.
  22. More and more people i know stop playing, and to a large part due to the enormous downtimes this game has. A whole evening is easily devoured if you have to sail across more than 4-5 tiles with the current wind mechanic. Its a big turn off that you cant just log and get things done in a 3-4 hour session. Dont get me werong, i dont ask for zipping ovrer the whole map in 5 mins.. But waiting for ages for the wind to turn and rise... not fun. I spent large parts staring at the boring sea semi afk while watching tv.
  23. At least for PvE it needs a rework. Im not interested to be in a Mega Corp, most groups seem to be 2-5 people tops.
