  2. Boomer I despise you......but in a good way. Actually I am whats the word I am looking for.......envious of your ability to clearly relay your thoughts to words. Ah that's it. Thank god I didn't stop with the first sentence.
  3. If I get bored hunting with a tame I pull out the blunderbus and stick it into the sides of animals. Its fun one shotting everything.
  4. Never lost a ship to a mermaid. Why? 1. Grapple to deck. 2. Hold "T" and click on "Open Sails". Your crew opens sails and you move out of the mermaids circle of influence. EDIT: Doh, Zottel already covered it.
  5. Weather forecast every single day: 99% of 20+ water spouts followed by blinding fog and then a repeat of 20+ water spouts and then fog again. Ok now that is solved whats next?
  6. Its an option to be used where you deem it necessary.
  7. If you want to kill yourself quicker and find yourself without poop then hold down delete or whatever you have the yell key bound to while punching. It drains your stam much quicker. Once out of stam you can let go since your character stops relaying sounds from your mic at max volume, but continue punching and each time you do you lose more health until you die.
  8. I cannot remember the last time I got a masterwork. I hit up 3 islands almost daily and nothing. Getting sick of it.

  11. I've always thought that one of the biggest performance issues for the client was waiting on streaming data from the servers. Ping hits 255 and framerates dip into the single digits. If there are less objects to stream to the clients won't that reduce what is calculated on the server side to be streamed thus reducing cpu/ram and network usage by the server therefor getting the data to the client quicker? Also in regards to snap points it reduces them as well. Sure you have the same amount on the outside of the 4x4 as you would if you used 16 pieces to build it. You are however removing the 15 snap points in the middle since its one solid piece now instead off 16 individual pieces all with unique HP. Reduced cost there as well. I'm no game dev so just trying to understand it and this is how I see it. In keeping with the OP I like everything around the ships. I using BP's to build high end gear. Leveling the ships and praying for those high end BP's. Still think the floor needs to be adjusted on those more so than the ceiling. Ship combat is a heart racing, adrenaline pumping adventure. Its when you are putting all the time and work on the line to defeat your enemy. I have not felt that since my days in Eve. The risk you take in losing your pixels that you worked so hard to get is what gets me going. I enjoy taming, building, etc as well but the ship combat is what really does it for me.
  12. Claim system is fine as far as I am concerned. Tweaks to PvP timers and war decs could be adjusted, but how an island is claimed and the quality of life improvements are very welcome. I think a few more are needed, but its moving the right way.
  13. I love it when people hate an aspect of a game then turn around and use the player base leaving as leverage to get it changed to their liking.
  14. I don't give a shit either way. Would be nice keeping my gear and levels, but starting over with the new map and have the chance to put forth all the lessons we learned would be rewarding in its own right.

  16. If the gold output was gigantic with guaranteed good BP's then it might be fun to tame a dragon for one.
  17. Yeah that is my biggest complaint. We have someone in the company collecting 100% Mythic blueprints. He plans on building a ship using them. Still debating on what to call it. I like " Chihuahua". All bark no bite. People see mythic planks, cannons and handling sails and might get worried for a second or be tricked all together. Vets will look at the percentages and HP of planks and know its not what it seems. LOL.
  18. Player shops suck because they are hard to find and if we had a large player population it would be a huuuuuuuuge mess. Its a small structure you place on land. Depending how people land on a specific island they might easily miss it and I am not making a run to all free port islands and search the entire damn island each time in the hopes I find what I am looking for. Its dumb and a waste of time.
  19. Never heard of this option. Doesn't steam have an option for saving game files? Wonder if this feature could be leveraged and shared. Dunno. It does seem logical that all files for this are saved locally and could be moved.
  20. Yeah it is quite annoying knowing you are getting all crap from 99% of the ships you see. The worst is sinking multiple lvl 60 galleons in a row any only getting mythic ballistas, catapults and dingy docks oh and a ship cannon! Wait its 100% damage. Why god why?
  21. Sounds like you were in the wrong company. There are plenty of immature people who do this and plenty of mature groups that do not. My company has rules around this to limit it.
  22. The harder you make ships to build the less you'll see at sea because people will not want to lose them. They have already stated part of the roadmap they want people at sea and making ships more accessible is part of that strategy. If they can find a way to make boarding and capturing ships much much easier I am willing to listen. At this time I don't see them doing this.
