Well the atlas numbers at least. You just made the game look worse than it already does ark is over 3 years old and had a bad past and still easily beats the numbers of a brand new game. It would be nice if they banned the Megas/streamers. Just saying. Don’t really have a good reason but it would be cool. So many streamers nowadays or total sjw’s. They ban you for the smallest things. Not even curse words or anything. Totally pathetic

Yeah I am with you. Here comes the but, but I actually went to a primitive server one time and the alphas there had a “slave” ship as they call it. Honeycombed with cells of 30 or more bodies. Never asked to see inside because I didn’t want to be in one of the cells. They actually used the blood transfusion kits to drain the blood from the captives and saved all of the blood bags so they could heal themselves. Kept them alive for at least a month. handcuffing people is one thing but constantly draining their blood and having vaults filled with blood bags.... yeah, some of these ark players man. Smh

I cant remember if you said you did play ark or not but I am pretty sure you did. dude, that was all these guys did for 3 years was push out a ton of content with no optimizations that is what they do. They should actually be able to trademark “push stuff out and worry about it later”

I can see how you might have just seen banned without looking at the reason why, but I am just wondering why you didn’t look at the reason before the first post No, since people use their own money to pay for Unofficials wildcard has no control over it. Pretty much why they can do whatever they want on unofficial servers.

I swear to god I got through about 75-80% of it first off. It was pretty long and a good read but damn I just kept scrolling and after awhile i had to stop, no offense to you at all. ill inform you real quick since you never played ark. A lot of people played ark but they didn’t actually follow ark, no matter what they say. i followed it so closely that even after I stopped playing I was still looking at every twitter and forum post. Ark was a game I was very passionate about. Still went back a few days ago just to say hi to some buddies and helped them grind out some mats just because that is what I do. jeremy was the biggest problem with wildcard and now jeremy is the biggest problem with grapeshot. He is the owner, the final say, and the main idea man behind everything. He was able to come up with two very good ideas at a grass roots level, but NO MATTER WHAT, he always destroys it because of his ego. He always wants to be “cool” so to speak. he was silent for 6 months on twitter before atlas. Not one word on ark. Then once atlas comes he is not only all over Twitter but he is literally copy and pasting what the atlas twitter said. To make things worse, he tweets it before the atlas twitter tweets it. He has to have that thunder, no matter how pathetic it is. ark was one of the ones that COULD have been one of the great ones. The stage is already set with atlas. There is absolutely no possibility for any greatness. Nobody forgot the past and even though they tried to bury it, history has already repeated itself. It really doesn’t matter how many copies it might sell. Atlas will always be a failure because it failed before it began. End of story

Ah ok, my apologies. I got off of the sandbox topic we were on(actually my fault). Mad far as the sandbox part goes, I believe the claiming system actually hinders the sandbox aspect of it. Ark was a true sandbox. You built where ever you wanted to. You literally did what ever you wanted to. now we have atlas, a game that makes it to where is you do want land you have to claim it first, after that you have to come test it(mostly offline), if you are lucky enough you get to have it(pve, if you are on all the time, the other guy is sol) almost the same with pvp. then there are the age restrictions and soon perma death. As far as I know most mechanics don’t force things on people. If you do it? Cool. If you don’t cool. The fact that you actually get penalized for not doing something is just stupids never played an mmo like that. I have seen plenty of mmo’s that say well the end game is in this dungeon, so if you don’t do it you won’t get end game gear. I have never seen a game say the end game gear is something you do that I tell you to do and if you don’t you lose all your progress. lmao. Not even arguing with you dude because this is not a sandbox, it’s a box that we are stuck in but it is not a sandbox

Exactly. Atlas would be way easier than ark as a solo. I could find the tip of any mountain, even out in the snow and maybe see one other person in a month lol. I do feel bad for some of the solo people out there but in all reality my buddy and I wouldn’t have a problem anywhere. we could even be a traveling raft and still get a galleon. I never play by any rules, and never will.

Dude, the tax mechanic was very faulty to begin with. I commend you on being fine with laying the 30% and all but I don’t like the people that were charging. not because you got screwed over but because we now fully know that wildcard is a very corrupt company even in game. sorry you had to go through that and I am also sorry that it will NOT get any better. It will actually get worse and that is the truly sad part. I wish you the best of luck on your future gaming. If you still keep hope for atlas however, then after this it will be your own fault

It should be a thing, it it does become a thing, it won’t be for a long time. You might think it is easy to do and it probably is, but, for these guys it won’t be. They are having enough problems right now doing very basic fixes. just fair warning, if they do implement it, there will be a way to grief it. You need to know that

Unless you are willing to buy another account(they are) or the other kid you were talking to, believe me in this scenario they have nothing to lose because they are already expecting the ban, are you? Rather you think you are justified or not if you aren’t willing to buy another account you definitely have more to lose than them. This isn’t real world, this is game world. My buddy and I were building 75x50x15 bases like is was nothing on ark atlas is so easy mode compared to how ark was, it’s really shameful really. The funny thing was, even I expected arks numbers to drop because of the ark fan boys. Sure enough ark has stayed the same. That says something. currently trying Conan for the first time and it is more difficult than ark really. I can get to level 75 in 1 hour in ark, yet I am at level 20 in Conan lol. Pisses me off to be honest though. atlas is for the weak. I could have a galleon within a day with just my buddy and I. Survived plenty before, atlas would be like getting welfare, easy.

Well then you get into an entirely different category now. So now we are talking about sandbox games? a sandbox isn’t an mmo. A sandbox can be an mmo but that is no where close to the defining term of an mmo. We would have to have a totally different conversation about that. i spoke on the word mmo. Which I was not only exact but exactly right in that aspect. So yes, if you want to talk about sandbox games we can do that.

Sure, I played wow solo for a long time before I got into a guild. Maybe you don’t understand what mmo means. The only, and I mean only thing mmo means is that there are a lot of players on the map. that is the only thing it means. If you think that it also means that the weak have to team up to become strong then you are mistaken. you totally missed the concept of mmo

Yeah the only thing they really did was make it take longer to go raid someone. Now instead of going to the nearest drop you have to sail a few hours to raid someone almost all the islands are the same, besides the few biomes, I mean you could probably sail to about 7 or 8 islands and then you saw the whole globe pretty much. i wouldn’t count on it getting to much deeper. The main reason ark stayed steady was because every couple of months they brought out quite a few dinos. stuff like the perma death and people breeding wont attract anybody
