EA is the right excuse for the release. There is no person or company in this world that can simulate 60K people all wanting the same thing through a PC. Game developers can either release the game for free the first weekend to have it on full load, or they release it in early access and you have to pay for it. They chose the last and then it’s YOUR choice to buy/play it. The reviews and forums are full of people that accepted all the problems it may cause and they decided to go for it anyway and then point at someone else for a bad decision they made. It’s like I’m at the kindergarden again.

Everything stated above are EA issues. People that complain about it... no words for it anymore.

Rates need to be looked at fast. This is not normal. For the rafts I can understand, simply because players only use it at the beginning and nobody wants raft spam everywhere, but for the bigger ships it needs to be looked at asap.

Ye it’s not that it is a bug or something. When you’re in the area you KNOW that you can’t spawn there so you should be extra careful.

It would be a good thing if a company could only claim 1 island on the entire map. Making it so people actually need to trade stuff with people that are on islands with different resources. But if they want to do that they should think about resources spread out fairly. Not that 1 island has way more handy resources than the other. If I want to make a bed and 1 island only has wood and the other has wood and fiber...

Yes but can’t do anything about other players playing the game too. 40K people and 700 islands to catch so everyone knew it was a race. It is a shame that the race has been done unfairly because of the crashes etc.

If there is no announcement in game the only thing you could do is follow their twitter page.

Negatively comes from the people that really don’t understand anything. There are maybe 100 games that had that many viewers on Twitch and then went down drastically, everyone knew that it was going to happen because it happens with every game, especially Early access. The lag, connection and joining problems were going to happen, you’re ignorant if you said there weren’t gonna be any. There is no company in this world that can simulate the load this game would have. So it’s a matter of releasing it and just see what happens and try to fix it as soon as possible (they are doing that right now). All the other problems such as rafts sinking, giraffes spam, alpha’s on beginner islands, that you couldn’t spawn on your bed after a while are ALL problems that occur during an early access game. People should know that. Have you even looked at the steam reviews? I don’t think you did you only look at the number. Maybe 75-90% of those negative steam reviews are either people that complain about the connection issues (which evidently is too hard for people to understand) or are complaints of the other things stated above. Those are the same people that were absolute toxic in the official discord channel of Atlas. If you want to be a part of them, be my guest. I’d rather join the group of people that actually knows that these issues come with EA, especially when you’re releasing an EA MMO and that are rather helping to solve or point out problems than just to hate on the forums. You said you played a lot of EA titles but based of on your comments, I don’t think you played any of them. I’m kind of done with the toxic community, but can’t do anything about it. You’re the guy nobody wants, but we can’t get rid off.

You think Atlas is a failed game?

In some way I get what they have done with it. You really only use a raft when you’re looking for the island you want to inhabit. The decay is for raft spam, maybe the decay can be a bit less, agree with that, or maybe slow the decay down when you’re not on the server.

Mate, you have got to be kidding me. YOU payed 25 euros for a game YOU knew was in EARLY ACCESS and YOU knew that there’s no way on earth they could simulate 60K people joining the same servers at once. Or didn’t you?

Raft sinking randomly and giraffes are the biggest problems beside the lag/server issues.

Giraffes spawn is something they need to fix. They’re working on the lag. Rafts randomly sinking need to be fixed. Beds can only be used on claimed land or rafts/boats.

After Jatheish made the statement about the communication, it went very well. Keeping us up to date was nice. I expect them to be busy with server stuff for the time being but after that I hope they will listen more to the community and maybe even put up the stuff they would like to add and ask if the community likes it to be in the game. If they would’ve done that with ARK I’m pretty sure it would’ve been a better game.

Agree with this. Ofcourse later in the game you will have plenty of all the vitamines but even then it shouldn’t play that big of a role. They could try to reduce the depletion a bit, just to test things out. General food and water drainage is fine.

Because they already made one they can’t make another? Maybe tell that the developers of COD and BF then.. they seem to be stuck in the ‘shooters’. Everyone has the right to complain but you’re looking for false reasons to hate. It’s advertised as a survival MMO and you refuse to accept that.

That doesn’t mean anything. The major part of those reviews are based of stuff people were too ignorant for to understand. Maybe a bit harsh but that’s just the way it is. You can’t take those seriously at all and it definitely shouldn’t hold anyone away from this EA game.

This is ridiculous and should be handled asap. Stealing someone’s progress on pve with something as easy as this is a serious case.

They won’t. Placing beds only on your own territory was intended and will stay since it is not a big issue at this moment.
