So me and my crew spent the last 24 hours exploring after being bugged out since launch, and have yet to find a single island with enough unclaimed space left to drop a single flag uncontested. This really cramps progression and heavily favors the people who didn't get stuck in limbo and got a head start. First thing, it seems like anybody can place an almost unlimited number of claims. I think this really ought to be capped to a certain number for solo players and a number based on member count for companies. One island we found seemed to all be claimed by a single person, with no buildings present and nobody around... Yet it would still take an hour and a half of waiting around to take even one chunk. Second, I think claims should require some form of upkeep or they begin to decay. Could be gold or resources, but it would help prevent people spamming random claims in the middle of the ocean for no apparent reason, or claiming a whole massive island for themselves like in the above example. As it is, there's really no downside to running around and claiming every square inch of free territory you come across. I feel like the decision ought to be more strategic.

As of right now the only way I've found to attract members to a company is through the company tab. However, nothing in that page is designed to allow for advertisement, and instead seems to act simply as a search engine for companies. Thus, (assuming my current knowledge is accurate) I would love to see a thread added for the sole purpose of recruiting people to your company. The game seems to require large groups of players banding together, so this feature, to me, seems paramount.

I've had the same issue, so I do not know. Hopefully someone else has further experience! I can guess however that due to there being an "affinity" bonus stat, it will require multiple feedings to tame a creature.

You need to have unlocked Beastmaster in the skill tree. After unlocking the proper skills you need to create a tannery, and use the tannery to make a Bola. You then damage the creature you wish to tame until, when aiming a Bola at it, the game tells you it's low enough HP to tame. Throw the bola, and you will then need to feed the animal its desired food. Some creatures are passive tames, Cows for example only want to be fed "Rushes". This will require you simply put the food in your last item slot and feed the animal.

Should just be fine doing so. Adding another Server would likely require a restart of the master.

Please make it so you can run using local IP for local only connections. Appears to require steam query in order to login.

Well this game is certainly better with a group of players. It does not take long to get off the starter Island. It's EA and just launched there still working out the bugs and particulars which would include death and respawn mechanics. I Understand your frustration but this is what you can get with EA Games, can require patience. I'm playing because it's fun and I'm expecting issues and wipes. This game may not be for you

Not true I'm not a streamer iv cut down wood I have seen them respawn. I can kill a fish with a spear ... But that does require wood. If your not expecting any issues to arise I wouldn't recommend buying the game, it is having issues some major some minor resolved with time and patience.... If you have none don't buy the game

You can run more than one 1x1 on a VM or physical server given the proper resources. Nothing stops you from running more than one instance of the server. You can link multiple VMs/Servers together, as they require a redis database, and you can host that on its own separate server/vm. Then each Atlas instance uses that redis server for its dbs.

Has anyone figured out how to get salt? Cause most of the recipes require it but i cant figure out how to get it

One server is ONE grid square. To cover the entire map it would require 144 servers

I think it would be super beneficial to add a trading section for both pve and pvp for NA and EU as it would create a place to formally discuss and haggle prices with people you may not necessarily find at a free port for the times you require the items your looking to buy.

Yes that was the point for this post. Some groups may require this kind of talk others might not, but who knows. Just thought it could be helpful
