@Jatheish I am having the same issues as everyone else, joined the NA PVP server around 5am. I spawned in the ocean of the tundra islands, I felt like it was way to hard to survive and tried to change my region after dying. I got timed out during that swap and I haven't been able to connect ever since, been constantly getting timed out connection errors. v5.3 is out and I still have this issue. I haven't been able to get into any official server since yesterday when I tried to switch my home server.

For those wondering how to setup your own server i believe this will work.... DISCLAIMER!! ***I haven't confirmed if this will work and wont know if it will until the official APPID is released*** NOT MY VIDEO but worked for Conan I copied my scripts for Conan Exiles, should work with changing the appid once they release the anonymous login ID. Tried using the 1006030 id but it doesn't work with anonymous or otherwise. There are many YouTube videos on how to script this simply. 3 batch files. *this is the video I used originally to set up my conan server.

I'm unfortunate being stuck in L5. Haven't effectively been able to play at all.

Anyone know how to jump to a different server? I find it a little confusing. I see when you die you have the option to move your home server, I haven't tried that yet but I've been told it works. I was wondering if dropping out of the server and then searching for a new one works in any way? The one I'm on (E5, Kraken's Maw) seems to be riddled with drop issues. I'm sure it's not just that one but I wanted to bounce around a bit just for sh*t's and giggles. Try out a lawless one maybe. I can't even login to my current server to kill myself and transfer that way right now. Also there doesn't seem to be an option to just create a new character outside of dying in game.

I had the same issue this morning. I was level 9, died, forced to recreate character, lost leadership (and membership) of my own Company and can't even get logged back in after the fact. Please tell me that we are going to get out levels back, that we haven't wasted the 20 odd hours of play, that you are going to fix this ridiculous bug sooner then later, and that you are going to add more actual region servers instead of blocking out build capability in the Lawless zones...that last act alone is forcing us to spend 7+ hours on rafts trying to get to the first island that might might be able to plant a flag on. These types of errors on dev's part are the kind of things that make a game D.O.A. Please don't let that happen to this game. Thanks.

Same issue here NA PVP L12. Been dead forever. I was on L11 and selected L12 when I died and haven't been able to connect since. Been playing on NA PVE L12...now it looks dead too. ffs fix this or let us choose a reroll prior server selection.

Just curios if there are any plans for fresh servers or some kind of wipe or something that will allow companies that haven't even been able to connect to the game to be able to catch up / have a chance with the companies who have already been able to get through the bottle necks somehow (guessing through glitches or blind luck) get all their people in and claim vast islands and sections of the map. I know its a huge world, but the land rush is such a big part of games like this and a large portion of the population has been completely locked out.

This is true, there will be sleeping bodies at the freeports because of the mass amount of people that have just spawned in and crashed and never been able to get back in. Can they not delete character info that is in limbo? Possibly change it so they don't load a character first in order to create a new one? I feel like there's a large group of people who tried to change their home server and they are having this problem, but everyone else who has never created a character probably has a different problem with the same result. Go through each original starting freeport servers and remove characters that haven't logged in within the past X amount of time. There were only 15 servers originally, can't be too much right?

Lol. Or its possible that he's having the same issue as pretty much everyone else posting in these forums. Did you either a) try to change your home spawn after dying or b) spawn onto a square that no longer shows up on the spawn menu or c) spawn into a freeport at any point? If so then you're one of us, one of us, one of us. And you're boned. Your character is in limbo, you can't delete him and start over because you have to kill him to do that, you won't be able to play on that world again until the devs get around to fixing it, or even just adding an option to delete characters. You can still play on any server you haven't borked your character on though, just make sure not to change your home spawn. Or, you know, look at the game funny.

How do you delete your character. I made a character and logged in once and haven't been able to log in since.

I played during the ‘streamer premier’ and at that time the game ran great. But let’s be honest here, we all expected that it would run shit in the beginning. I do hope that they will do something about the sleeping bodies, I haven’t seen them but it’s definitely causing lag for people. But by following their twitter, they are working on it.

Just a few things that may help out fellow explorers who haven't played Ark or something similar. 1. WATER- You can go to an area with dense foliage/grass and lay prone with your hands out "no weapon or tool out" to dig for water. 2. EATING- Don't stuff your face with just anything. You have a food meter that wont allow you to consume if already full. You have to balance out what you eat to keep all your vitamin levels up. Too much of one thing can have negative effects. Each Vitamin has a color, food items all have colors to show you which vitamin they provide. 3. STARTER ZONE- Don't leave too early, you may find yourself starving to death or dying to scurvy out on the hi-seas long before you reach another island. Prepare and pack plenty of food and water skins. 4. BEDS- Make sure you place a bed on your raft as soon as possible. Beds also allow you to spawn on different islands if you have placed them on said islands. There are 100000 more things that will help but these were just a few of the most basic things I could think of. Feel free to add to this list while we wait for servers to go live.

I haven’t been able to log in to Freeport or any other area other than the one I started in. My question for the people that have is this... is the the whole point of Freeport leaving there to sail to these lawless areas I am stuck in now?

Place a wall and while it is still green you should see the text "Type" (I think it was called that), etc at the bottom left of the screen...press the hotkeys there to cycle through the wall types until you see the door frame. Not sure about fishing, I haven't tried it yet.

I haven't servers in my server list. The game is added into my firewall exceptions and antivirus. normal or not?

I have this issue myself and I am currently working fixing the issue as well, nothing seems to make any sort of difference. If you haven't already, try verifying the game's cache. You can also try to add this to the startup parameters to see if that makes a difference: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -nomansky -lowmemory -high. Would be great if a dev with technical knowledge actually would try to see if there is something that can be done alleviate this problem if it's server side, and if it's client side maybe there is something we can add to one of the config files that could make a difference. I'm not sure, but disabling the loading video might actually make a difference, just not sure where I can do that.

Played before everyone else joined and before that the game ran great. But now 50K people all want to get in and that causes more lag, whenever I went away from a freeport the lag went away so it still works fine for me. Haven’t had any bugs really, sometimes no hit points with the bow and arrow but that’s about it.

Sorry if this is a bad explanation but this is what happened to me. I forgot why i relogged but after doing so (EU PVP J4 server if that helps) all my discoveries and skills were gone/unlearned. But my stats and current skillpoints didn't. I had 1 unassigned skillpoint left that i didn't use, that one is still available but all the others are gone while i lost all my skills. And i can't relearn any of them. The weird thing is that i can see the stuff in my inventory under crafting, but i can't actually craft anything either (probably bcs i supposedly haven't learned it) No matter how many times i click them nothing learns or crafts atm, which is kinda annoying to progress right now.

I sat on a black screen with the music playing for about a hour just waiting for the game to load. This is the same issue I had on ark and they still haven't fixed it

Haven't actually made it into the game yet (still downloading, yay for slow internet!) but I do plan on having an animal/goods trading post, and being mostly an explorer/treasure hunter.

I'm only lvl2 so haven't reached the raft stage yet but as I understand it, you don't make a raft, you obtain it from an NPC at the docks.
