Go medium cannons that way npcs can have some type of movement. I have not built one but after reading so many stories it's the only thing I can think of. Also set cannons to ships only, now I'm not sure in Pve how it works, but I'd hope it will target enemy ships only and not other players. If you want to get serious add large cannons but I think you will be fine with a few mediums.

Sucks this happen to you, but you could build a few towers and add a few npcs's with cannons, might help. I actually been thinking of doing the same thing. And give my offline ships a chance to survive.

That 30 gold reward though it's so worth it for takin one down lol

I don't think rebar was used by pirates but I could be wrong. I thought rebar came in the early 1800's I'm not sure I'd have to make a house out of it but mixed with thatch then dried in place with stone seem legit. Plus I'm sure all the homes back then had a certain smell to them.

Just go to a region beside you and grab some stuff, this is what I do. Also on my travels I ran into a group that gave me loads of crops and im making my way back to them on the weekend to drop off emeralds for them. It's a lot of fun actually.

Lol I'm not a millenial baby so I like to travel and find stuff. I didn't tell this person to move I simply said leave the island on a ship and go trade lol. I also do not pay 30 percent tax as I farm lawless regions, talk to locals then head back home. Settle down little one lol

Or get off land and go trade or farm resources. When player owned shops come it will help balance the problem.

That and the scuttle option to be moved, I also have came close and im sure many more have. When you get hit with lag its brutal. Sounds like you had a fun journey though.

I don't see the risk in hunting treasure, that's how I get my gold and it's crazy easy and if I can use my bear with swivel cannon it's even more of a joke. Easy money if you ask me. But a ship like a brig fully loaded that can be sunk with all your stuff on it seems like a big risk and should have a better reward. Some good info above also, thank you all for your imput. Guess I'll use my brig for fun now and then cause that crew cost a lot of gold daily and already takes hours to feed and maintain. Plus maintain the ship repairs lol like seriously its way more work then going for a treasure map.

So finally made a brig and she rocks 18 cannons full npcs crew 3 on sails and 11k weight packing 600 medium cannon balls and 150 large cannon balls. She is a beast and im happy. Went large handle large speed and a large weight sail, and love that setup as i can turn and move and get into good position to kill. Loads of repair mtls also. So I set sail tail take a few out added additional crew as I lvl up. Got tag teamed twice and won but took lots of damage and was super fun. Think i took out 6 or 7 in about 3 hours plus had to do repairs and hunt them down. So my question is does everyone find the risk for reward is worth it? From what I gather it's just blueprints cause 30 gold is nothing but pays for half my crew for an hour. I beat lvl 13 green was the largest SOTD so far. Are the red and yellow worth it? What kind of gold ya get cause 30 gold to risk my ship isn't really worth it to me. Most fun I've had in a game also, the ship battle was epic and drained all of my energy and my crew. We literally went to bed after lol.

I don't mind the paste added to the stone as it makes sense and metal to the gateway and doors,, but for the other stuff metal needs to go. I can see this being a good change for when trading comes and the shops that will be at the freeport.

Lol you forgot the hundreds of sloops that get left at the fountain of youth on a daily basis

I hope this gets fixed soon, the lawless server I'm on always has 50 plus players last night and this morning was 9. I'd feel horrible if I had to delete their base and take all that booty.

So tired of these stupid comments.....to the person that lost your base, I'm sorry as it happen to me also. To the person above , I Did talk and I did build and I got kicked because I went out on the seas to explore. I was kicked because i stopped building and wasn't paying enough tax so they took my stuff. It is broken and stop defending the system. If a land owner freaks out you lose your stuff, if a land owner don't think you farm enough you get kicked out. So easy to be two faced in this game with this system and no way for a person to defend his base if he or she builds on someone's land plain and simple.

So cool. Ya just pop that dragon on the front of my brig Jat and I'll sail the seas and show it off before release lol

I don't see any thing wrong with so called doodads or whatever. If they want to come out with cosmetics let them, even if stuff is broke. Each company has roles for every employee. So the employee that does armor skins has to wait till the game is fixed to show his/her work is unfair and has no effect on problem (A) Problem (A) will be fixed by the person that is assigned to it. Can't send home your staff because certain thing are not running proper then ask them to come back when it's fixed, don't make sense. So again cosmetics don't take away time from fixing the game.

I do use a lot of arrows and grenades but at end of the day I understand it's a twig with a piece of flint on the end of it and I don't expect it to destroy and alpha in 20 shots

People need to put their point in archery tree then go get an upgraded bow. I'm not sure if complaints are from using the common bow or upgraded ones. Mine is upgraded and love it. I still have yet to use a gun lvl 50 atm and age 20 as I made it to the fountain of youth. I destroy alphas and wolves solo and I can solo treasure maps but having my crew just makes it much faster.

Tried above fix but don't work......anyone have any other ideas? , if I lose almost 400 hours I'm so done all I got to say lol

397 hours and kicked by battle eye and no rejoin button o.o I don't cheat.......
