  1. There's a lot of talk about building, ships, and improvements to be made. One thing I thought about was the farmers. Instead of just having these "farm plots" surrounded by boards you can build virtually on anything (which is awesome for gardens), but I would also like to see "tilled soil" tiles for those times when you just want to plant things in the ground. Second, let us grow fruit. I'd love to see apple orchards and more. Third, seriously I mentioned this before in another thread but we need more gate options. The doors and small gates are not a needed option for some animals.
  2. I know it's WAAAY early to be thinking of this, but considering how Ark turned out I started thinking of the future of Atlas. I know there would probably be a market for more modern ships made of metal and stuff, but considering the islands and magic and stuff, I'd personally prefer a more steampunk style of tech upgrades. I wouldn't want to see this game advance to far and go too crazy, but zeppelins, metal galleons/sloops/schooners/brigs with steam engines would be kinda neat. Different manufacturing items based on that, assuming that the devs want to go with tech upgrades past the sailing/medieval stage. I also noticed that the trader vessels have paddle wheels, wouldn't mind having that feature too. Any thoughts?
  3. So, I recently found myself wanting to upgrade my cannons and hull on my ship. As I made the new upgrades, I looked at them and other than the health there's no indication of the higher quality item. I got to thinking about the whole process. Why do I need to destroy the previous item to place the new one. This game wants to call itself an MMO, and I'm assuming it's goal is a large audience. So upgrading shouldn't be about destroying previous items, as many times it would destroy any connected items such as floors destroying my cannons. I know you can 'layer" it on top, but you still have to technically destroy it. Why not have additional materials to upgrade the common stuff you have installed to a higher quality item like fine, journeyman, etc.? That leads me to the indication problem. It looks exactly the same in the text and the appearance. New people can get confused if they upgraded at all seeing only the hp increase. They may feel it's not even worth upgrading, just keep plopping down commons. Some sort of visual, rather it be a detail to the model, or "stats" and flavor text on the upgraded items to let people know that this is an upgrade. Personally I'd rather see some sort of detail to the model, but understandably it would be difficult for now. However the visual indication on the text would be good to have. Also show how much of an increase in damage to the text. Much like standard MMO gear stats shows differences by changing the color of text and showing stats.
  4. So I was goofing around on my brig, and as the anchor was "raising" or making the sound of raising and not allowing me to move, I hit "X" to lower the anchor again. It showed as the anchor raised though I couldn't move as if anchored, and when manually doing it via looking at the ship and choosing the option it would raise and lower but not move. When it's "lowered" (icon showing lowered) the boat would be moving with the waves but can't move and the unseated npc wouldn't repair. However when "raised" (icon vanishing) the npc would repair and the boat wouldn't move and become like any other structure as if the anchor was lowered.
  5. First I want to say, something has to be done about the whole animals clipping through walls crap. I made a HUGE barn, mutiple stories, to try and keep tamed animals from getting killed by wilds. I log off, come back the next day and find they all fell through the floor and clogged up the bottom floor. 2 tigers, 2 horses, 2 cows, 1 bull, and a bear and sheep. So, I stretched it out and made "pens" or rooms surrounding the animals to separate them and thought, "Why can I not build a small gate so I can have a penned in area? Next I managed to tame an elephant and when I loaded it on the Brig I was using to transport it, after sailing and avoiding Sotd's the elephant was slowly flying away. Literally the thing was flying, so I thought about the galleon and how much space there was. I could probably put an elephant down there, but it'd be difficult getting in down in the bottom even if I only built the bottom deck and top. So a gate on the side of the boat, like the "Ark".
  6. I don't mind people laughing at the situation as long as the devs do something about this problem. It was funny during the whole thing.
  7. I traveled to another region in order to do a treasure hunt. When I got there, the "beacon" was stuck in the mountains and even when climbing up the mountain, it wouldn't start. So after realizing this was not going to happen, I went back to my base. On the way, as I was dodging Sotd's I went to rotate the sail. The game went to the demolish option, and I watched as it filled the bar and I couldn't stop it from doing that. It was a schooner with one large speed sail and one small weight sail. So I was out in the middle of the ocean with a demolished main sail and had to get back to land to build a loom and build a new sail. I sailed under the power of the small weight sail all the way back to land. It took me about an hour and a half to get back to the land. Luckily I was able to grapple some flotsam on the way, not much but it kept my sanity. Then to top it all off, cyclones hit. They stayed on me for a long time (honestly cut the number of cylones down, it's insane) so I started repairing my ship. I eventually ran out of supplies to repair the hull, but thankfully the cyclones stopped and I could resume my long journey back to land. I did make it eventually and repaired my ship, replaced the sails, and resupplied getting my ship back to base to continue on to other things. I tell this story, as short as I can make it, because the demolish option needs to be removed when sailing, or the glitch needs to be fixed. I hope this brings the problem to the devs attention so they can look into it.
