yeah you still got a few weeks to go bud... ptr isnt even out yet and the wipe wont happen for atleast a week after ptr is released. probably a month after tbh, if you look at grapeshots track record... dont expect to be able to have a good time for a very long time.

HELL NO. That's all i gotta say about this "redesign" you proposed.

as all the polls show, it isn't getting split in half. it's literally like 5 percent the population that wants the empire mode. It's a pointless ptr and everyone knows it. but let's do it, lets waste more time, money and disappointment to keep the server population as low as it can be in the meantime so the game is unplayable for those who love this game. yay.

The mega tribes would just split up and whitelist each other when they roll together to zerg fools... caping would be a hard issues... would need to disable names in combat or all together on ships. Maybe a permanent autofire feature for cannons that fire on any ship that passes close enough that isn't alliance... but that would take away from a lot of good rp scenarios. On the flip side, i don't think many people join mega tribes because they even want to, i think it's a survival thing. They don't want to get stomped out so they merge.. i think the colony version of pvp will open up for the mega's to split up and move away from working with each other... thus improving game play... because let's be real, the servers can't even handle large zergs without lagging the fuck out. No one likes that.

i think individual companies will be responsible for their own buildings upkeep. i think the landlord is specifically responsible for the claim upkeep of the island itself, and obviously, his own structures.

I feel that. Me, im gonna make a fighters guild and host fights and tournaments that any company on the atlas can take part in, even betting... im gonna build player and trade hubs and be in the center of all the drama in the atlas. its gonna be hot lmao

in game politics is just extra content to me, i love it. it's like a story that never ends, just gets juicer. IRL politics do not belong in game tho. I game to get a break from life.

Man, i myself was a leader of a 70 man group. some people call that a zerg. tough decision? are you kidding? it's a game. we were facing annihilation from dynasty and their hordes. we were offered to alliance with them instead and betray our alliance partner who spammed their streamer, who was raiding them, with all sorts of racist and stupid screaming thus making him have to shut down his stream. they had a valid vendetta to wipe those fools and we were in their way. instead, we didn't throw away our alliance because we had honor. we ended up merging the whole alliance and fought dynasty to the last island. we lost, but we gained mad respect from everyone, including dynasty and their alliance. it was fun. it was pvp. it was worth it. if you compromise in a game you'll compromise in life. no respect.

i mean that's cute and all but it doesn't take a leader to make explosive barrels or c4 for the instance of ark.

in regards to not understanding players who popcorn/demo the base of their own peoples they play with every day (their homies)... you gave insight as to why someone would do that. Hell, if you were my leader id have found a way to scuttle every ship, kill every tame and foundation wipe any trace of our company i could while you slept. You're a true example of a piece of human garbage (at least that of which i can judge in survival games from what you've said, idk about survival irl, as people would have caught on quick enough to have put you behind bars or gave you 2 in the chest and one in the head so that you wouldn't bring down society)

It will only get better as its implemented. Im probably gonna build 30 of these things throughout the world. imagine the traffic these things will bring once it takes off. I see towns being built around them. Hubs of trade.

not just mega's lol. i kept a few quite as i came upon them.. grappling a dead body that is filled with mad weight in metal, wood, stone and dragging it back to base while in sprint lol. I knew about that for a week before they fixed it. I'm just saying, when you have a large community of people dedicated to breaking the game and talking about it in real time where devs can easily see it, without risk of being banned... those guys are gonna have bragging rights. thats gonna do wonders. i wouldn't mind seeing special title in the real game that show off how many thing you exposed and got fixed. "Game Breaker" oh yeah baby. sign me up
