Those days are gone... they were called Alpha Testing, and Closed Beta Testers... You used to have to sign a NDA to participate and submit a tester resume. If you violated any terms of the testing you could be removed and replaced. This is Early Access which is a "legal" way for game companies to charge for the game before it is released.

edit your cfg file in the game settings there is a complete right up on how to do it and a youtube video. I changed mine gained close to 20fps and the game doesn't look any worse than the low settings I had it on.

It varies, it doesnt really make a regular turn. It is based on weather and region. Like where I live it mostly comes from the WNW to ESE.

I think they should make oil and metal more plentiful in tundra and deserts, to promote a reason to live there.. but keep the lack of sap a thing there. Tropics should have large amounts of sap and fiber, but low amounts of metal and oil. Temperate should have a little bit of everything.. making it ideal as a jack of all but master of none.

Well they are meant to be harsh. I dont mind that tundra doesnt have sap, same for the desert. There isn't a lot in the tundra in real life, this is why Siberia is a miserable place. Same goes for the desert, not much industry in the Sahara.

That is DEFINITELY a problem, the game is really poorly optimized right now.

Well you could make a boat out of pumice, which is a stone, and DOES float. And it has been known to occur naturally. And the largest recorded "pumice raft" was several hundred KM across and thick enough to walk over it. So in short you could build a boat out of stone.

I like to say they are living up to their name... Grapeshot development.. they are just shooting a widespread of things and hoping it fixes things.

I had the same issue a year ago when I upgraded my GPU but didnt do my PSU... and when I played games that were poorly optimized they would draw way more load on my GPU and cause my system to restart. I ended up having to upgrade my PSU from the 650w to the 800w one I have now.

It depends on if those games draw the same load on your GPU.

The other factor in the STEAM charts that make them inaccurate to compare to the current system is Steam changed the way they track their data last year. This also made outside sources of tracking difficult. The last thing is was Ark only sold on Steam? Or was it sold directly through their website too? While I love using Steam charts they are not 100% accurate, at best they are a good 70-75% accurate.
