  1. the 2H mace is good for certain situations. It has an AOE swing, a knockout and an AOE special ability. You use that stuff when you're inside bases or ship holds, etc. Areas where they can't just run forever.
  2. You do get experience beyond 50 by exploring locations. Someone in my last company just hit 52 by exploring and is still trying to hit more spots. You have to hit all the POI type locations on the islands for it to matter. Like the waterfalls, ruins, etc. The ones that give you an explored pop up. No idea what the final possible level cap is, and I'm sure over the time of EA it will probably go up since that''s what happened with ark as they released new content in the form of skills and craftables therefore needing to expand the level tree.

  4. I'm not sure the skill lets you TAKE stuff. Just look inside.
  5. The player marker needs to be BLACK. Those of us who are colorblind already struggle with the damn vitamins on top of not being able to see our X inside enemy land claims. Please devs, most people are red/green colorblind and black can be seen by EVERYONE.
  6. Farm for additional types as well. Its probably not recognizing your second type of them for some buggy reason. Hit a few nearby islands that give different types of those resources then hit another after so you have 3 or 4 types of each just to see if it still bugs out or works. Could be you just happen to have a type thats bugged out so it doesn't work, or it could be the blueprint itself is bugged and won't accept any other type no matter how many you get. Either way the devs need this sort of information to help troubleshoot the issue and patch it.

Our, along with many others as you can see in this forum alone let alone twitter and reddit, keep having issues with our companies losing people, changing access, perms resetting back to default state, etc. With big companies like ours this is a nightmare. Any permissions we change revert every single time the servers go down regardless of if its a crash or a planned patch. Luckily our owner hasn't been booted yet like some companies have dealt with but we lose members often it seems along with the other things I've mentioned. It's beyond annoying and near game breaking. Please put some priority on this.

  9. You do now. But whales breach and kill people on boats fairly often in the real world and not just captains and shit. Mostly people on vacations, fishing, smaller boats, etc. I haven't seen one in the game yet, ships of the damned are keeping me mostly shorebound.
  10. There is expanded/harsher decay rates for ships in all free port zones to prevent people from leaving their ships there invulnerable to being taken/destroyed as well as to prevent blocking and stuff.
  11. Yeah they are pretty nuts. If you start building stuff at least that kills the spawns lol. Kills the resources too though.
  12. If they are anything like ark they are skins you have to apply to real crafted armor. So like you drag the cosmetic over your hide or cloth armor or something. I haven't tried any of the ones in this game yet but its safe to assume they work the same way as ark. Probably not wearable items on their own.
  13. Whales have legitimately killed real people in the real world and destroyed boats in similar fashion. I don't see a problem with this mechanic in game lol. Shit, I'd laugh if it happened to me no matter how much I lost.
  14. Level cap is 51 by default and as you explore it goes up was my understanding. Some people say its as high as 90 to 100.
  15. One of the recent patches was supposed to cut down on the time it takes to flag and steal enemy ships but the timer is still the same. For a sloop of only a few levels it was giving me a 15 and a half hour timer. The same as it was before the patch when I tried it. Additionally the last tier pirate buff to speed up stealing is too short. With such long timers it really should be a much longer active ability, even if its lasts 5 minutes instead of 30 seconds it won't change much from the game play perspective. No one wants to sit around a boat hitting their hotkey button every minute. It adds no real value nor changes anything when it comes to the mechanics and play.
  16. If you went out into the lawless zones, why would it decay so fast? Just drop anchor if you are logged out in it and hope someone doesn't find and destroy it. Locking yourself under the deck when you log out, replacing the hatch with a full ceiling is a lot safer.
  17. They probably just use the same hosting companies you can buy a private server from and expect them to maintain and run them for the most part. General server health is probably monitored by nitrado and relies on grapeshot to notify them something is wrong. Similar to how if you rent a server nitrado wouldn't do anything with it if it crashed unless you filed a support ticket or something. This is just speculation of course, but they do have a hosting partner deal and how they ran ark servers in the past.
  18. Just because they didn't respond to you doesn't mean they didn't see it, or know about it.
