  1. UE4 can utilize more than 1 core or thread. In fact, if you leave HT on, you do get better performance. The MAIN thread that the game relies on, such as physics, can't be split but the other things can run on separate threads. The main reason why game servers choose i7 or i9 over Xeon is the fact that they come in higher clock speed and unlocked multipliers. Xeon are made for enterprise applications which requires integrity checks and stuff, that's where ECC ram comes in, which also slows down the cpu a bit.
  2. You need to be running that Redis database and have a valid servergrid.serveronly.json
  3. We have voting rewards now! check it out https://atlasserverlist.com/server/260608/vote/
  4. 20 was probably too many, since they do get stuck in each other if you spam buy them.
  5. I know how to set up the powerstone island. I am wondering if anyone has the line for the fountain of youth. It needs to be added to the Quest in the map editor.
  6. The fountain is in game, I see the quest for it on official servers
  7. Anyone know the correct lines to add to the servergrid for the Fountain of Youth?
  8. First of all, you are dead wrong. Xeon are not meant for performance game servers, they CAN run game servers but UE4 requires a strong CPU to keep its frame rate up. This is the same reason why everyone says Nitrado sucks, because they use high core count/ low freq Xeon servers. Yeah your Xeon can run servers, check your server fps when you start hitting 10+ players. I rather pay a little more to have a server that can handle 70+ players without stuttering and lagging than a server that can only handle 20.
  9. I seen your servers, you certainly have no problem running 9 empty servers on your 2.4ghz xeon. Architecture you say? Xeon and i7 are pretty much identical, with xeon supporting ecc ram which isn't a requirement for game servers. Raw power is a must for UE4 servers. Don't pretend to know what you're talking about.
  10. Yeah and the performance is night and day when compared to your 2.4ghz xeon
  11. None of these are gamebreaking bugs. If anything, they are minor bugs. Your complain about vitamins is you being too lazy to maintain it. Your fishing complain is you being impatient. Your respawn at freeport is because you click the bed even though the bed was already selected and it is now deselected. Your issue on server rubberbanding, is YOU are still loading in all the mesh and collision and you choose to move. Raft and Ship decay is fine. Dying too much cause you got killed by wild things? Part of the game. Grow up and stop asking them to make the game care-bear mode for you and find some actual Game breaking bugs.
  12. Don't even try anything above 1400000, physics and things will not work properly outside that boundary, and probably a ton of database corruptions too.
  13. You need to change your server's default port or change your own client default ports in your saved/configs folder.
  14. Seamless IP, is the IP the grid is running on. You need to set the ip to the redis database in the servergrid.serveronly.json for your 2nd server. The machine that has the redis database can use 127.0.0.1 in the servergrid.serveronly.json.
  15. You can modify the island, move it around and delete it. Anything built on the island will be in the same location, so if you delete an island, it will leave floating buildings. You can add island without any issue other than someone happens to be sailing at the spot you are trying to add the island. You can even add island on 1 grid without updating it on another and it will still work.
  16. That's actually the worst idea I ever heard. You can set up a 3x2 server right in the map editor....
  17. Download the new map editor and export a fresh copy of all the stuff. You might have been using an outdated version of the editor
  18. It might be configured in the servergrid.json since all the grids have to be in sync and it goes off UTC time
  19. That doesn't look like a database error. More like a bugged raft.
  20. Would be helpful if you posted the crash log as well
  21. Because of the update to 20 Level 1 crew limit. Right now it is bugged so if there is 20 of them from ANY company on the current grid, it won't let you recruit more.
