I really enjoy this game even with some bugs, been playing on a Nitrado Xbox server with a friend, everything has been good other than a bug now and then, reached level 65. Now we have 255 ping issues, Myself and Nitrado ran tests and it’s nothing to do with my connection or the server. Something in the game is causing it. It’s just unplayable, did a rollback of 3 days so it was before the ping issue and all seemed fine again, 2 days later 255 ping again. bugs are one thing but not being able to play is another, sadly the game should not even be permitted on the Xbox store when they know there is a game breaking bug, I have noticed this issue has been around for years with no solution. Such a shame as it’s a fun game.

I've seen a few topics about high ping, but most of these topics are 2019 - so I created a new topic. The actual problem is that after switching to a new sector, the ping randomly rises to 255 and lasts a very long time. No manipulation can help fix this. Also, Internet problems will be excluded by the test on a neighboring computer. Practice for 9k hours in Arc and 1k hours Atlas in 2019 quite clearly shows the devil-may-care attitude and complete impotence of both Wild Card tech support and the studio as a whole. Therefore, I ask players who encountered this problem and were able to solve or figure it out - share information. Perhaps this will help not only me but also other players with same problem.

It'd be great for us to be able to see which regions have the worst ping when planning routes. I understand lag is inevitable, and that the performance of the game is something you guys are working on, but in the meantime- at least allowing us to be able to work around it would be amazing. It could help save time, frustration, and hours of trying to find the mount you just lost at sea by just letting us plot a good course. It'd even be good for the roleplay community inside of Atlas, could explain it away as 'Choppy seas' or a bad storm of some sort. At least in the global PVE server, right now the equivalent is basically 'Avoid all lawless regions', which sucks because at least some of them are OK-ish.

When I was forced to go to the EU PvE server, things were doing ok. The server ping was only a tad higher than what I was used to playing on the NA PvE server that was taken from us. I was getting maybe 30-50 ping then. When starting on Whale's Solitude, I was getting a tolerable 50-90 server ping. However, I've noticed that ever since these minor updates you have been pushing through, the lag has gotten increasingly worse. 90 ping went to low 100s after one patch. Not too bad. A patch or two later, the ping went up to 120-130, sometimes 150. Today, the ping is constantly above 170, and staying in the 200+ more constantly. I suggest to stop pushing these minor patches if they're causing the ping to go up until you can find the cause, and bring the ping back down. I'm going to go ahead and say it's nothing on my end, being I haven't changed anything in my network setup since the new map launched. If the ping can't be brought back down, then perhaps give us back NA PvE so that we can play without rubber banding every three steps.

Since the update on 1-24-19 I have been unable to play. The story: Tamed my rabbit yesterday. The server went down for update. Come back and cannot move without extreme lag. Waited. Update for V16 came out. Hoping issue would be fixed.... Was not fixed. Still cannot play. Additionally I am now unable to view water. Not sure if this is related. What I have tried: First I checked my settings. To ensure they did not reset to epic everything. They are fine. Unchanged. Checked internet speed. Still sitting on 400Mbps. Decided that I was going to reset my pc. The only game I currently have installed is Atlas. All drivers are up to date. Attempted to run in Low Memory Mode. Changed nothing. All in all for the past 36 hours I have been unable to play. Super frustrated. Only game I care to play right now.

This is completely game-breaking. Guys what is going on with your servers. I was playing at N9 tonight and about 45 mins ago RL the server jumped from the middle of the day to about 2AM. instantly. Everyone was asking what happened. Additionally, for the last 48 hours the Ping and latency has been hovering between 186-250. The game is completely unplayable at the moment.
