  1. Reinstalled everything with fresh 4x4 grid no mods nothing changed except the game port . crash on startup. same exact crash error. i do not understan why the error keeps referring to drive Drive D when i do not have anything on that drive it is a system reserve drive for windows restore
  2. My first question is about servers in general: We started playing Atlas a few weeks ago (there are 2 of us). We originally wanted to play on a dedicated private rented server and invite another friend or 2, but chose to play the single player on a non dedicated server (tethered) after reading that we'd have to rent several servers in order to get access to a large portion of the map on a private server. I'm still not sure we understand how the servers and maps work, and how many squares of the map you get per server that you rent. We just want to be able to enjoy all the content of the game with the boss fights, power stones, kraken , ghost ship, etc. .. and were afraid that we'd miss most of that if we only had a couple squares to work with. Can someone explain to me how many squares of the map you actually get per rented server? Also, if you only get a few squares to work with, does that mean you just never get to fight the bosses or see the content in the other squares you don't have access to? Okay, my next issue is regarding our non dedicated server randomly "breaking": Okay, so when we first started playing we played for probably about a week with everything seemingly going okay. We were enjoying the game and learning the ins and outs, building things, leveling etc. One evening the game crashed on us repeatedly and when the host tried to validate his files in Steam, it said 1 file was unable to be validated. We assumed something glitchy happened with some update and we just decided that although it was a pain in the butt, we'd just start over. We then found out that the spyglass was the culprit of our crashes, and it was each time the spyglass was used that crashed the game. We decided to just go ahead and start over anyway since we really weren't that far in, because of the file that said it couldn't validate and since the spyglass issue things were acting weird anyway. Fast forward now we're almost 2 weeks into our fresh server and now last night it seems like the server broke on us again. There is no sense in continuing to play if we are going to just have to start over every 10 days or 2 weeks. I'm hoping someone can give me some insight into what we can do to fix this. Sorry in advance for the long story, but I want to go through most of what I can remember we did, in case it is something we did that "broke" things again. Most of the evening of us playing went fine, then all of the sudden I crashed and it said I lost my connection to the host. While trying to re-join it would not show our sever in the list, so the host had to reboot his game and then it would show for me. We've never had those issues before last night. After the 2 times of that happening, everything seemed to work fine. We were able to continue playing with no issues for a while. We decided to go do some ship exploration, get some resources, and then do a couple of treasure maps. For a while everything seemed normal, while sailing, with normal ship attacks, shipwrecks to dive, flotsam floating etc. During our exploration we found what we believe may be the Kraken location (we aren't positive on that) and went inside the swirling water (nothing happened when we did). That was in F4. Then we went over to G5 and hunted the ghost ship for a little while. We think we may have found it during the day, as our ship started having some weird ghosting effects. At that time we didn't realize the ship only appeared at night. We decided to go ahead and do some treasure maps. We were going to sail home to C9 to drop our resources off and lighten our ship, then head out. At some point during that journey we realized we hadn't seen a Ship of the Damned in quite a while. Then realized we hadn't seen any shipwrecks or flotsam. We decided to re-log in case that was the problem. After we did, the shipwrecks and flotsam all re-appeared, but we still didn't see any Ships of the Damned. We sailed the rest of the way home and never saw any. I picked 3 Journeyman maps in A9. The host picked up the maps and noticed they said the minimum gold awarded for them were 0, which was odd. He handed them over to me and each one said the minimum was around 15k. While that was strange, we decided to go ahead and sail out to do them. We sailed from C9 to A9 and still never saw any ships, but did see shipwrecks and flotsam. We got to the location and the beam didn't show up for the host. He handed the map over to me and the beam showed up just fine. I walked over to the beam expecting it to activate the spawn, but nothing happened. I took my shovel out and started to dig and it crashed the server. We both came back in and tried again and it crashed again as soon as I tried to dig. We came back in a 3rd time, and this time we decided to pick up more t-map bottles to see if they also said there was a minimum of 0 gold as the reward. The host tried to pick up 3 bottles, and although it showed him picking them up.. the bottles weren't showing in his inventory. I went and found a bottle to pick up and the same thing happened, it wasn't in my inventory. We ended up just logging out after that. What would cause a server to just randomly seem to "break"? Is there a way to fix this? This game is unplayable for us if we have to restart from scratch every 10 days or 2 weeks because something breaks the server. We are really enjoying the game and want to continue to play. What can we do? Thanks for your time!

  4. I recently started playing Atlas again in single player mode. I have been trying to fill waterskins from water spouts. The first couple worked OK but suddely it's no longer working. I can open the spout inventory and place the waterskin in it, but it doesn't fill. I can drink from a water spout and had no problem filling skins from the pool on the starter island. Is anyone else seeing the same problem? Update: I have found out two more pieces of information. If I make a new waterskin, I can fill it once but, after that, it has the same problem. I can fill waterskins without any problem when it rains.
  5. Plagued by the same problem. Spyglass worked fine yesterday , now it crashes the game, i have no idea how is this allowed to persist for so long, i feel like this game has been abandoned in regards of bug fixes
  6. Hello, I have a problem since a week with redis database. After 2 or 3 days i lose always data on database. Today at 12:00 my redis database had size of 17MB and at 17:00 my players has report, they can't connect to server. Then i have check database and it was only 246KB big. Someone had same problem and know how to fix?
  7. Ahoy Pathfinders! As we gear up for the new season, we have some exciting changes in store for you. In addition to the scheduled official server wipe, we have addressed several issues, including the display of loaded tames on Tame Railings, disappearing food in Tame Houses/Hatcheries upon server restarts, Xbox crashing problems, and much more! We've also made updates to the Vitamin management system, the singleplayer map, and added new ship tracking features, along with a few other quality of life improvements. To make these changes, official servers will be temporarily offline on Wednesday, March 15th at 7AM PDT, with an estimated return time of 12PM PDT. Unofficial servers can expect to receive the update shortly after. Unofficial Community We would like to take a moment to express our appreciation for the unofficial server community and the significant contributions that you have made to ATLAS. Your creativity and support have helped shape the game and offer unique gameplay experiences for players. We believe that the unofficial server community has the potential to continue taking ATLAS to new heights. We will be releasing an updated Server Grid Editor (SGE) after the patch on the 15th to allow players wishing to use, or have access to, the official maps. Note that there are no other changes to the SGE since its previous update. We understand that modding is an important aspect of the ATLAS community, and we're committed to supporting mod developers as much as we can. We are working on an update for the DevKit to match it to the latest version of the game. While we don't have an exact release date for the update yet, it shouldn't be too long after the patch. We're thrilled to announce that we're adding the Wonder Island and spawn points for the Army of the Damned (AotD) and Industrial Transient Nodes to the current singleplayer map. With these new additions, you'll have the opportunity to explore and craft all the latest content available in ATLAS, all while keeping your existing progress intact. Added AotD Transient nodes to 150+ islands for collecting Cursed Bone Chips. Added Industrial Transient nodes to 100+ islands for collecting Brimstone. Added 1 Wonder Island for crafting the Great Temple. Ship Icons on Map All ships, now including ally, enemy, and SotD, will be visible on the map in the grid you are located in. Players will have the option of hiding either the entire ship icon or just the text using the “Toggle Ship Icons” and “Toggle Ships Text” buttons on their map to reduce clutter. Unofficial servers will have the option of disabling this feature by using one of the following command line arguments: ?ShowShipInServer=false (completely disables) ?ShowEnemyShipsUnderFog=false (disable seeing ships covered by Fog of War) The different ship icons will be colored coded to provide easier identification: Your own ships: Normal (unchanged) Ally ships: Cyan Enemy ships: Red Ship of the Damned: Brown Vitamin Management Vitamin Levels: Vitamin levels now persist through death, instead of being reset. The damage over time from vitamin depletion, poisoning, deficiency, and surplus has been removed. Instead, each vitamin will provide a different debuff to players when not adequately maintained. Vitamin Depletion (0%) and Poisoning (100%) Vitamin A - 20% increase to damage taken. Vitamin B - 20% reduced stamina recovery rate. Vitamin C - 30 reduced fortitude. Vitamin D - 20% reduced speed. Vitamin Deficiency (1% - 10%) and Surplus (80% - 99%) Vitamin A - 10% increase to damage taken. Vitamin B - 10% reduced stamina recovery rate. Vitamin C - 15 reduced fortitude. Vitamin D - 10% reduced speed. Cooking QOL: To encourage players to utilize their cooking skills, a few quality of life changes have been provided. Increased Grill water amount from 300 to 1000. Slightly reduced grown vegetable and egg requirements in cooked recipes. Cooked recipe foods now give their secondary vitamins much quicker. Chickens stored in Tame Hatcheries or Barns will produce unfertilized eggs over time. Overeating: Players will now experience even more realistic effects from overeating! If you eat more than your stomach can handle your pants will look a little tighter and you’ll become extremely sleepy… Removed damage to health when overeating. Added torpor to the player when overeating. A player’s stomach will visibly get enlarged when they are overeating. Pooping: Is there anything more immersion breaking than randomly pooping on the floor? We are proud to say our pirates are now potty trained! Removed the chance a player will poop randomly. Player pooping is now only activated through keybind (F11 by default). Pooping reduces food levels by 15. Added a cooldown to pooping. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue with the Puckle Tower attacking all targets even after setting a preferred target. Fixed Rabbit Statues not having collision. Fixed an issue with Rabbit Statues losing their textures when demolished. Fixed an issue with Stuffed Bears clipping inside other surfaces. Fixed an issue with Paper Lantern being difficult to place. Fixed an issue with Stuffed Bears being difficult to place. Fixed an issue with Stuffed Bears losing their textures when demolished. In addition to the scheduled official server wipe, we have addressed several issues, including the display of loaded tames on Tame Railings, disappearing food in Tame Houses/Hatcheries upon server restarts, Xbox crashing problems, and much more! We've also made updates to the Vitamin management system, the singleplayer map, and added new ship tracking features, along with a few other quality of life improvements. To make these changes, official servers will be temporarily offline on Wednesday, March 15th at 7AM PDT, with an estimated return time of 12PM PDT. Unofficial servers can expect to receive the update shortly after. Unofficial Community We would like to take a moment to express our appreciation for the unofficial server community and the significant contributions that you have made to ATLAS. Your creativity and support have helped shape the game and offer unique gameplay experiences for players. We believe that the unofficial server community has the potential to continue taking ATLAS to new heights. We will be releasing an updated Server Grid Editor (SGE) after the patch on the 15th to allow players wishing to use, or have access to, the official maps. Note that there are no other changes to the SGE since its previous update. We understand that modding is an important aspect of the ATLAS community, and we're committed to supporting mod developers as much as we can. Added 1 Wonder Island for crafting the Great Temple. Ship Icons on Map All ships, now including ally, enemy, and SotD, will be visible on the map in the grid you are located in. Players will have the option of hiding either the entire ship icon or just the text using the “Toggle Ship Icons” and “Toggle Ships Text” buttons on their map to reduce clutter. Unofficial servers will have the option of disabling this feature by using one of the following command line arguments: ?ShowShipInServer=false (completely disables) ?ShowEnemyShipsUnderFog=false (disable seeing ships covered by Fog of War) The different ship icons will be colored coded to provide easier identification: Your own ships: Normal (unchanged) Ally ships: Cyan Enemy ships: Red Ship of the Damned: Brown Vitamin Management Vitamin Levels: Vitamin levels now persist through death, instead of being reset. Slightly reduced grown vegetable and egg requirements in cooked recipes. Cooked recipe foods now give their secondary vitamins much quicker. Chickens stored in Tame Hatcheries or Barns will produce unfertilized eggs over time. Overeating: Players will now experience even more realistic effects from overeating! If you eat more than your stomach can handle your pants will look a little tighter and you’ll become extremely sleepy… Removed damage to health when overeating. Added torpor to the player when overeating. A player’s stomach will visibly get enlarged when they are overeating. Pooping: Is there anything more immersion breaking than randomly pooping on the floor? We are proud to say our pirates are now potty trained! Removed the chance a player will poop randomly. Player pooping is now only activated through keybind (F11 by default). Pooping reduces food levels by 15. Added a cooldown to pooping. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue with the Puckle Tower attacking all targets even after setting a preferred target. Fixed Rabbit Statues not having collision. Fixed an issue with Rabbit Statues losing their textures when demolished. Fixed an issue with Stuffed Bears clipping inside other surfaces. Fixed an issue with Paper Lantern being difficult to place.   11. Since i read they are planning to rework melee combat (and add new weapons) i just wanted to give a suggestion. Instead of having 5-6? Keys to attack a mix of mount and blade and Skyrim melee would be great. For those who don't know in m&b you use mouse to decide your attack and block directions. Down - Stab/block Up - Down swing/block Left - Right swipe/block Right - Left swipe/block But the problem with m&b pvp is you can just hold the LMB forever and attack whenever you want or spam attack and block so I thought of adding the Skyrim heavy attacks when you hold the key. So if you hold down the key instead of canceling with block or dodge you start a heavy attack which you are committed and can't cancel. You become immobile giving enemy a chance to attack you, shield bash interruptions always stunning you. Heavy attacks have a increased damage at the cost of stamina and always staggering opponent. Dodge: Its still the same back/side step, i tought of adding rolling for hide armor but decided it might be better as a feat. You can't back step stabs and down swings and you can't side step side swings, you will take damage. Timed dodges will increase your next attack speed greatly but for a reduced damage for a very short duration Block and parry: It's the same expect you also have to block up and down now. You can block heavy attacks but you will be stunned and your weapon will lose more durability. Timed blocks(parry) will change your next attack to heavy attack with increased speed for a very short duration all blocks and parries will damage weapons durability Shieldbash: Stuns enemy if used while enemy charges up for a heavy attack. Staggers enemy if used before enemy basic attacks land (like parrying with a shield) Staggering: Its a short interruption also slightly pushing you back. You take slightly increased damage while staggered. Stagger duration is lower the higher tiered your armor is Cloth common = ... = myth < Hide < common < ... < Myth < plate common < myth Basic & heavy attacks: Mouse up - Down swing / heavy down swing Can't be dodged by backs stepping / Deals increased damage and greatly increased stagger time Mouse down - stab / heavy stab Can't be dodged by back stepping, greatly reduced damage but very quick / normal damage, still faster than other heavy attacks and slows the speed if used on staggered enemy Mouse left & right - side sweep / heavy side sweep Normal attack, increased speed if used in succession on opposite sides (L,R,L,R) / increased damage, applies bleeding (does not stack but resets duration) That's it then. I'd like to hear your thoughts and please tell me if I missed to explain something So anyway i just got overexcited created account get everything off of my system and didn't really give it much of a thought on how it would work on laggy servers or how it would work on pvp since i only play single player.   12. I don't understand why we have to place ore miners to mine out a key ingredient. They should have the geysers produce them like the pure sulfur. People are mining the geysers with their mine ore and you no longer have access to the same item. If they did not give them option to lock it then there would be fewer structures and not monopolized by one person.

  14. i beg of you atlas gods creators of the seas i enjoy to sail please when you mean a larger world size please be referring to a world size similar if not larger than the 11x11 size i miss the epic voyages of the 15x15 but i understand thats unrealistic but please hear my plea o great ones a suggestion for more EPIC PIRATE BOARDING COMBAT i would like to add here at the end is: make it so npc's cant man swivel guns that are pointed inward on ships (same with puckles if you do that) and please make it so we can shoot/stab npcs that man cannons/swivelguns/puckles and such it would make people think twice about just throwing manned guns everywhere and expecting to be safe so you know you have to an EPIC PIRATE HIDEOUT with gun battlements but the reason all this stuff is down here is because it is a lot less important in my eyes so I BEG OF YOU ATLAS CREATORS yadyadayada read the one at the top again

I am a long time gamer and an old gamer have gone from pc to console and back Snail Games aka Wildcard same folks who do Ark have potential for a great game but shrinking the servers and cutting off what is a huge client base of players aka console players will cost them in long run. How is it Ark has pc only, and crossplat (xbox on pc) with console but this game does not and has not since it came out???? And yes i have played Atlas since it came out on both pc and console and I lived on Ark from its first days on console and even after i went back to pc because i grew tired of waiting on series x's to be available.

Welcome At the current state of atlas i would like to grab the attention of the devs to please fix the game or make some changes that will allow the game to grow and become good again. 1st Thing ships At the current state of the game its only one good boat to use in pvp and its such a shame when there is so much more ships avalible. the ramming gally is the only the meta atm in atlas ship pvp to use anything eles is compleat pointless there the fastes strongest and most used. the game we need the other ships to at least compeat and be to the same speed to at least make them relivent. SIMPLY speeding up all boats to small ammount can really make a diffrence. 2nd MORTORS This is simple motrots are for ship defence and should not be the nuke to stop all ground pvp at the rate they kill tames is juts silly its fine they do the damage to ships but 40& of the game love to land raid and fight on the ground but when you get one shot by a mortor it kinda defeats all inspire to raid. 3RD 3X3 SERVER THIS IS NOT WHAT WE NEED OR WANT SIMPLE I would like more input from people that play on pvp servers
  17. And this game is pure crap. There is no reason for a game that has been in the public this long to still have so many basic bugs. Especially when it seems; after talks on discord, this game has had many of these same issues since it was dropped. This game is a prime example of why Steam needs to end this paid "early access" crap. This game is an example of an all too common occurrence. Get so far with a game, drop it as early access to account for bugs, and broken games, collect your money, and move on. No reason to continue to fix/developer a game once you get paid, right? I really wanted to like this game. Been on my wish list since it was first announced. But with all my bad "early access" experiences, and the number of times I've regretted paying more then $20 for a game far, I wait for games to go on sale for $10 or less.. When it hit $10 I pounced, and am happy I waited. I'm not mad, I'm disappointed. FYI: I have over 8K hours in to just these sort of games. From 7D2D to Zombie panic.

Xbox players are unable to purchase or use some holiday items. Xbox players are unable to reload mounted weapons. (Cannon, ballista, puckle, etc.) Incorrect UI for the tame hatchery and swarm house. Overlapping player inventory UI. Tames are unable to be unloaded from Tame Cargo Railings. We realize there are still a lot of known issues with this patch, but our priority has been getting out a fix for Xbox players crashing near tame storage structures.   20. Same problem on Xbox One. Crashes guaranteed when interacting with maps, or accessing storage containing more than 5 maps. Crashing when inside an islands discovery area, worse the larger the island. Pirate camps downgraded to very low level, so no decent booty. Massive polygon cliffs and mountains, with see-through glitches. Polygon creatures and textures. Open sea seems stable (unless you look at a map). Game is unplayable. A roll-back to the previous patch is preferable to the current game-state.
  21. Hello, This game is already running Season 11 and still the main game mechanics been remaning the same. For example: Why don't try fix problem, like why game dies quick and how to keep it more alive: a) "Don't have big players base" - first reasons for that is because game need too much grind and there is no way protecting your progress. You been running so many seasons, its time to start trying out different things. - Firstly 4x Increased all rates should be applied as normal rate (less grind, more fun) - Secondly, should shourten PVP servers times (season lenght), it should go with seasons (1-2 months). Players like new starts, and early racing for islands. Could also try out even shorter seasons. - Its time also to add 1-4 player companies server in the game (with no alliense, max 1 island per companies). There is more small clans and solo players out there than zerg players, so it would be nice if player can have a change to choose , which kinda of server to play. 11 Seasons all big companies always allie up with another big companies. Also kills the game real quick, every1 is getting allied up, nothing happening. -4th, try out adding ranking system in the game and reward top players/companies with permanent skin rewards (it's almost nessesary, to learn adding/ coding seasonal rewarding system in the game, so players don't want to skip seaons or they miss permanent skins - game gonna start feeling alive). This should be piorities NR#1 to get done. I dont think i should continue here... I just hope you try to do more in next year, than previously before. Happy New Years Everybody !!!

Same My base area onn pve was fine till the update so went on pvp placed down a swarm house then it did the same so has to do with something to do with the swarm house or new buildings they have put in And sometimes things do get broken after a update happens pretty much on every game a simple coding overlooked can cause issues However last time this happened wasn't long ago and I lost all my npcs animals etc all that hard work lost

Well I can't log into game and my ships stuck in a deadzone and my charectors on it f3 region pve bottom left island had the same problem on the top rightnisland but the ship wasn't at that one at the time so it was the case waiting for my charector to die so I could spawn on ship however this time everything I own is on my ship and its stuck at f3 bottom left island and I can't load in been trying now for 2 days to load in and even when my charector does die I need that ship which I can't get to as its a deadzone there can you deva move my ship or summit this is ridiculous how I can't even play your game even tho I wish I could company name a wolfs moon ship name schooner matata I've submitted 5 tickets so far also its this is annoying
