Might just do the same thing myself. I'm just hoping that it goes live in the next few hours so I can play a bit before bed.

I suspect the real reason is the same as just about everyone else's: because you can't play the game right now. We each just cope with it in (slightly) different ways.

I'm able to play NA PvE for about 20 minutes then everything in-game stops working but i can still run around. Takes about 20 attempts to get back in, but I get back in and same thing happens. Chicago SouthSide

Actually, by your own admittance. They've been the same about every single DLC they've created. So tell me, wtf is so new here? You either roll with the punches or you don't, simple as that. If you already know their history, why the F are you here? That's the big question bud.

Steam forums are full of the same crap and half these people said they wasn't going to even buy the game because of the delays. Just get a refund and don't post about it. EA games isn't for many people.

I think I'd say the same. I feel like taming something to ease travel time and/or increase inventory space would be very beneficial early in the game.

The 39,999 friends I invited to join me on the same island for my ATLAS launch party are going to be very, very disappointed about this.

"The ultimate survival MMO of unprecedented scale with 40,000+ simultaneous players in the same world." What happened to 40k? From what i see there are 15 servers and only 150 players allowed on each. 150 x 15 = 40 000 apparently. Great job WC/GS!

guys, guys... you're getting sidetracked. it's a "new" game. but you can play ark on atlas. as in you can start up an ark map on atlas and play ark. There's nothing wrong with using same mechanics or anything else. It's along the lines of if you're going to say it's a new game, why can we play the "old" game still when it's not called "Ark" lol

Where exactly does the line for new get drawn? Clearly some of the content and systems are the same or similar, but there are new additions as well. I'm curious what everyone perceives as the threshhold for new/reskinned.

I think most people are getting same timeout, as well as client 2.0 server 2.1, though version missmatch doesn't mean no connection. They are currently looking into connection issue, see their twitter for more info!

I'm not white knighting at all. I'm fully aware there are problems, and I'm not saying they're not problems and that the company is perfect. I'm simply saying you're complaining about an issue we all know about. Nor did I say that you didn't have a right to be here, and no, you are not more important to me. That's simply a stuck up, cocky attitude you have for no reason. If you'd listen to what I'm saying, you'd realize all we can do is sit and wait for fixes to come, and complaining will do absolutely nothing except vent your own frustrations, which to be frank, none of us care about. We are all going through the same things.

I will continue to support this game through the countless of streamers down talking this game due to it's launch... Countless of streamers down sizing this game compared to the games they usually play, but they forget the games they get known for or get recognized on had the same issues. People should have a bit more respect for a launch and if you supported this game by giving it hella hype you should be supporting this game through its downfalls..

So i just bought this game... with Big shoutouts by the creators that there will be 40k Players on a Server? and then i see... there are "possible" up to 255 Sersv, not one... Fom these 255 Servers are 15 running in EU PvE Master. And all of them are NOT working. If this game is really from the same Dudes as Ark is... didn't they learn ANYTHING from Ark?... How dumb can people be to NOT learn something... Right now the 15 Servers say 0/150 Players, and still not possible to connect. I have 2 Hours to play the game before i cannot refund it on Steam. I'll bet its impossible to play just 5 Minutes while the Gamer runs 2 Hours just trying to connect to a server. What are they talking about in their offices? "Hey lets talk about big numbers in the game and inverst 293486743764 US$ in Marketing".... but then use just a couple of bucks for a hand full of obvious virtualized minimal machines for the servers?

This is the same creation system used in Ark (with tweaks) and chances are it is here to stay. It gives people the freedom to look however they want, including the most zany characters.

Luck of the draw i guess. I will admit it was hard to play at 300 ping.. was the same for the ARK launch tho

You can change your hair color with dyes. I believe you can craft them, but not sure if the cooking pot method from Ark is the same in Atlas to make the dyes. Edit: You can also unlock different hairstyles, I don't have enough info on what is required or where to find them.
