I like the idea. Think about it, you're trying to survive and your chance of survival is increased when you have someo e else there to help gather quickly, help hunt etc. Also, it promotes some co-op early on - even pvpers need to work together against others. Most importantly, it's a chance to make your first friend and ally in the game.... and possibly the first big lesson if you work together and get off the island only for them to later turn on you for your stuff - welcome to the world of pirates...

Sounds like a nightmare. I'm still trying to download. It's painfully slow. I guess I'm sadly not missing out on much.... Good luck getting free.

What else is to be expected in the age of instant satisfaction.

It's definitely kind of weird and I'm wondering if the game will eventually turn into pirates vs armored knights with guns.

I'm partial to crows, but I'm guessing they aren't in the game, or tamable.

This game seems like it could be really great for Role Players and there isn't currently a forum for those interested in RP to gather. Could we get one set up?

I'm also looking for one, if you notice one please let me know - I'll do the same.
