  1. Servers guys! Servers improvement!!! That's the goal! That's your main priority right now!!! Because all you've done so far, and goin to do in future - will simply level out by 250 ping, rubberbanding, freezing, warping back, sails dancing, jerky sailing, impossible to fight at land and in sea etc. So first you need to do, is to make servers handle all players creations (monstrous mega bases and even that Pyramid at C7 PvE), and at least 40-50 ppl on server at once. Only then - new content, balance, etc. p.s. - As I mentioned before and this is very VERY unpopular possible solution - cancel all "Minecraft" in the game and introduce premade optimized houses.
  2. I would like to add - I was really REALLY stupid to involve myself into battle against damned squad on one of the glitchy server (it was at G4 PvE). My advise to everyone. Don't do that. EVER! I almost lost my lvl-42 Brig. I'm sailing home now with planks instead of gunports. And you know - I pretty experienced SotDs fighter I've got down like hundred of them this season. With lvl-60 Galley for quest. There are 3 issues fighting them in glitchy server: 1) - Because of glitches no one clearing the area so if you go fight against a single Galley, after a minute you may find yourself fighting against 10 or 15 damned ship at once. 2) - Because of glitches you loosing about 30-50% of your speed. My brig usually do 10 knots downwind when it's calm. On glitchy server I could barelly do 5 in the battle. 3) - You can not turn your sails (they waving, flapping and dancing). And because your ship do jerky movement, within stops periods it doesn't turn and speed up/down. With this stalled control, slow speed you just easy target for damned ships. Usually I'm like dancing with damned ships. But this time I was like and old knot, slowly passing by. Their Galley just turned around and released for about 10 volleys to me, until I managed to get out of his range. And yeah, most of volley even didn't showed to me. I just saw damage numbers without any damned cannonballs. I've got 10 planks gone, and I've got only 9 extra so I thought I was about to loose yet another ship. Thx Gods I had 450 wood in my grile. So... ...damn! Never again! Just NEVER. There are golden ages without any structures and crowds - let them be a place for hunting.
  3. Yeah I know. Because my Tiger do knockback I sometimes have to wait for they to hit with their weapon. After that I continue to hit them. They should hit. They should swing their maces, to prevent their digging skills. It's difficult on glitching servers because sometimes they just cannot aim me. And another time I can not dodge, because I receive damage, and second after seeing hit animation (and with lvl-20 map they hit 60 damage).
  4. Its like WAY More ppl around. Sometimes it's just no place to park a ship. Insane amount of temporary shipyards, on 03:21:00:00:00 timers or around that. Whole lot of monstrous and very creative large bases. I'm not saying world looks alive now, but it definitely more alive than before. I often see a traffic in the ocean! Each journey I meet couple of boats. Before that I met like one boat in a week or two. Bad thing about it - servers can not handle all of that. All just lagging, glitching, rubberbanding, warping, freezing - do all that stuff, and with more ppl to come, more lags appears. So I guess we now in the middle of a choice. To live in an empty dead world. Or to live with a glitches. Both are bad for me. I wish DEVs seriously renew their equipment. Or just cancel all "Minecraft" and introduce premade optimized buildings. But last one is totally unpopular because alot of ppl actually wanna play "Minecraft" in Atlas.
  5. 45 - Map shows different island. I just got to J8 to NE island Leostead Peninsula and while I was riding along shore I found that map totally doesn't follow the landscape. Sometimes in showed I'm in the ocean. Sometimes - it showed land and I saw just waters. I'm not sure if island on the map and island in the ocean are match each other. You should definitely check this one out!
  6. Alright here is the little tip. They go underground if they are not hit for a while. I mean they have to swing their weapons, or they buried and then go up full health. As far as I do understand - it was made so ppl would not surround them by walls and then just destroy them ranged from some balcony they also built. So... just make them swing. Dodge somehow. Shoot. These times I don't see any ways to do high level maps other then use tames. I personally use my (believe it or not) Tiger. I just let them swing, back away so they miss. Then let tiger's bleed (which is takes away around 8-10% health) do the job. p.s - Recently found that grenades doesn't work on them, as far as swivels attaches to cargo harness or ship. So it's like that. DEVs made high maps available just for tames users. Then they put treasure to where you'll never get with your tame. Then... probably laughing on us : )
  7. Just before I go, I want show you what raised up last week in my island. It's just a single example what ppl do with a farmhouses and what servers can not handle. There: Now while my cannonballs are producing I wanna talk about bottles and loot. 43 - There are just no bottles around. In the beginning we were able to take a horse, ride around the island and gather couple treasure maps the level we want from bottles. Right now - we can not do that. Because there is just no bottles around. And yesterday there were no bottles. And the day before yesterday - there were no bottles. The whole week there were no bottles. And week ago - all the same. It's a big island and I keep wasting my time riding a horse along the shore. And I'm just saying about overall bottles. If I talk about high lvl ones (with pink aura) which I seek - it's just almost impossible to find one. Last time I was searching one I HAD TO MAKE 25 CIRCLES around 25 islands it took me half of day. And there is always risk the map will lead you to that high cliff you never climb with you tame and you also throw this away. So what's the point of making them THAT RARE? So we felt lucky if we find one while doing all other business around? Well it could work if there was any business around. And it's not. It's like I sailing 6 girds searching, facing severs laggs and long monstrous bases loadings and got just NOTHING for that! Or you just don't wanna all shores being covered by bottles with their chimes? Well there is a solution. Make them spawn way more often, and let them live for just 24 hours then despawn. I mean really guys. I've watched all series on youtube while sailing around (sailing process still that fascinating so we go alt+tab and watching youtube) searching bottles. We need them SPAWN MORE. 44 - Ship related loot issues. Another problem is here. Why did you make ship related loot THAT RARE? I mean I had a plan to go some maps, get better shipyard, then build and level my better ship, hunt some damned ship get better sails and other parts. Then go high lvl content. I've been hunting maps for a weeks now. I've done like 50+ high level maps and guess how many shipyard blueprints I've got? 0!!! Yesterday I've done my lvl20 map. And I just threw away all loot I've got. Because I don't need any mythic hatchet, cloth gloves, TINY shipyard with 123% sturdiness (with any sturdiness I don't care, I never plan to build and level my raft or dinghy). I kept gold but I have like 40k already in my chest on base and there is just nowhere to spend it. So there is a question. You want us to build and level ships and go high lvl content? Or not? Or you want us to watch youtube while bottles hunting for a half day, then watch youtube while saling half atlas FOR NOTHING? We do need MORE SHIPYARD BLUERINTS. Same with big sails. I don't know why I keep getting mortairs BPs, small and large decks, smal and large planks etc. I've got like 10 mythic planks and same with gunports blueprints already. I sunk like hundreds of damned ships. And it's just a single COMMON large sail I've got so far. I mean you might think it's exciting game process. But I dig my 50th treasure chest in a row, throw out all useless sh*t and feels that game yet mock me again. I'm not saying you need tho get all those stuff to me right now, but... In like 50 maps and 100 damned ships I should get at least something! ...you know, sometimes I feel guilty because I actually try to play sailing game. I try to face dangers, I try to do some sea battles. I could instead just go ashore, build my monstrous 1 000 000 pieces base, then do breeding bears and don't even step out to the ocean.
  8. You know, all world explorations are not just seeing what DEVs prepared for us. But also - what players do as well. Mostly players do not do anything special. Just square box bases and thats it. But sometimes its totally unexpected and surprising! Like yesterday I was in I2 (pve official) and I saw a THEATER! And guy on a stage was practicing to play accordion! : )) That was fun!
  9. It was like that in the beginning. Unfortunately when game turned to easier state they start to add more resources to existing flora. And we came to what we have now when in some places we do have a bush which is called "a bush" and it gives: - Some berries. - Some vegies. - Some fibers. - Some thatches. - Some saps. And if you have a bear, all you need is to go to this bush, swipe a paw once and you done collecting resources.
  10. Got mine at G7. NW side of island, and the cave is right on the shore. Just jump out the ship and you're in : )
  11. 42 - Servers getting worse everyday. There wont be any picture here. But I need to write about it. With more people joining official, and more ppl go to settle - lag/ping are getting worse! It's not just "somehow worse" it's a big major worse. Like my PvE I7. It was fine in the beginning. With more bases around some small ping up spikes start to occurs every 10 seconds. Now my island very populated. I've got couple monstrous bases with very complex and creative creations. Another island is probably the same. So now my server just stops for 2 seconds every 10 seconds. If I run somewhere during this stop period, I then warp back to where I was before stops. So seriously guys. You need to solve this one. It's your first priority. Not new content. Not a balance corrections. It's your technical core you need to deal with. Without it - anything else is just pointless. p.s. - You introduced farmhouses. So those are: - More buildings around islands. - With auto resources gathering - more complex monstrous bases around. It turned out last patch just made ping/lags dramatically worse in couple days.
  12. Unfortunatelly it's getting worse. It's not just somehow worse, it's the MAJOR worse everyday. More and more severs are lagging. Even those which was fine just a week ago - now starting to stall. My I7 grid was fine before. Then it got small spikes of ping ups. But more and more people come. They build more and more bases around. Also those gigantic complex constructions. And yeah, windmills didn't help to improve the situation (Got it worse to be honest. More buildings around. With resources gathering - easier to build big bases). So now server just stops for like 1-2 seconds every 10 seconds. If I run somewhere during that "stop" period, I then warp back to where I was before all stopped. p.s. - U know it's really difficult these days to find a good quality map? I once had to do circles around 25 islands before I've got live average lvl12 one... and now I've got pretty good one and guess where treasure is? : )) It's on C7 (pve official).
  13. Emmm I just curious. I probably soon hit lvl 80 (didn't do any kraken, etc, just maps). Should I stop there, because of possible future lvl back downs? : )
  14. What I found so far is: - You never use ladders while crossing. - You never use "M" button, оr open inventory while crossing and some time after. You wait until all loaded. I personally try not to move or perform any actions a seconds before crossing and then wait for a while. p.s. - While ago sextant buff caused crashes occasionally, but within season 4 it seems they fixed it!
  15. As I mentioned above - I'm not judging. I just feel a bit sad because I personally came to sailing romance MMO, the world full of dangers and adventures and then... - Islands go to way less dangerous state so ppl could build (I mean I don't remember when I last time felt danger in my island) - We got more animals for taming/breeding. - We got farmhouses now so players could do more building... Where is sailing? Where is adventures? If DEVs mean it!? If they do the game which is a mix between minecraft and sims (or as some say - Atlas is ARK just from another view direction)? They should make confession about it. They should make it clear. So all players who loves sailing romance and want THE Game, would stop suffer from their unfulfilled hopes and dreams, delete game and wait until next one will come up.
  16. BTW I tried to put one far from all structures and near forest. And in more than 8 hours it gathered just 1500 thatches. So... I guess farmhouse just don't do this type of resource. And yeah. If you go near by tame with cargo harness and storage box - it count as "structure near" and reduce harvesting rate. I also noticed they are all staying full. I mean we also placed one near our base and we don't really know what to do with all those resources it gathered : )

  18. You know what I've noticed recently? Most of players in PvE are actually play this way. They do not seek adventures. They do not preparing and involve themself to endgame content. They don't build and level ships for seas battles. Do not craft a stuff for high level maps. They do not do the quests. They just play "Sims" and "Happy farm". They do building (alot) and then taming/breeding. Then selling tames to eachother so they could do their buildings more efficient way. Play this way for a while. Then drop the game! So this Pharaoh guy it the great example of what players do in PvE. I mean not all players, but there are ALOT of them. Most of them! And... well IMAO, devs really should do something with that. I mean If they wanna give us the PIRATE game... (I mean I'm not judging, everyone find their way to play but... we've already got ARK for breeding, sims for building! And yet don't have any pirate MMO except SoT which I don't like the concept. And if DEVs continue to improve tames and building aspect of the game instead of sailing, we just wont have any pirate MMO we promised). p.s. - Spent some time today at this C7. Funny bug - the server can not handle it and it's still daylight at 22:00 (10pm). After that it's switching to the night within like 0.1 sec lol. p.p.s. - I don't know why so many players cover theirs shorelines with foundation spam! But they make bottles unavailable. And these time it's SO DIFFICULT to find purple bottles. Last time I found one after I make circles around 25 islands! And I saw like 5 purple bottles under foundations. Thanks alot. I hope those foundations serve you well.
  19. Yet another gr8 example of game physics works. My pathfinder stuck here: And by stuck I mean STUCK! With just no way out. No climbing picks. No hook. No jumping crouching. No pet riding. Even if I log out then log in I can jump out and run freely for the 10 seconds. After that I warp back in to this slit. So only death is my way out. And yeah... guess what sever this happened on? : ) And yeah. Huge thanks to all guys who think that cover all shoreline with foundation is a great idea! I mean I still able to find a purple bottles sometimes. But thanks to your foundations - it's like one bottle per 25 islands! All other ones buried down to your creative construction (sarcasm).

  21. The problem with the ships now is they made a bit wrong. 1) - We've got useless vessels. Raft was once the first vessel to carry us to our island. Now we have ramshake. Dinghy - is useless because you'll get to a shore and back way faster by yourself. And yeah, the way I see to fix this is to put storage in dinghy and make it possible to one click transfer stuff from boat to ship storage and back. Sloops are now the first vessels from freeport to you settle place, but... well, instead you can go lawles and start with a schooner. 2) - We've got everything we need within 3 vessels. I was playing to alot pirate games before. There were like 4 massive single player pirate games in past (Corsairs, made by Russian devs). And it was simple there. The better ship you have, then it will be more durable, more powerful and can carry alot of stuff. So difference between ships was: - Hold size. - Sturdiness. - Speed and maneuvering. - Firepower. You always wanted more. There were shore fortresses, and without strong enough ship you could not get though. And what we do have here in ATLAS? - Hold size doesn't matter. You put storage box a man size in and you can put there like 15-30 tons of stuff. - Sturdiness doesn't matter. You can always cover your ship with roofs and ceilings (which can be different quality and HP) and also upgrade your ship to be more durable. - Speed and maneuvering - SUPPOSE to be a COMPROMISE STATS compared to all other ones. I mean normally you either have fast and maneuverable ship, or strong, powerful and big. But in the Atlas we have biggest and yet fastest ship (6 SS Galley). And strongest and maneuverable Brig. No compromises at all. - Firepower. The way how it worked in Corsairs. Ships were spread to 6 classes and each class could wear certain cannons weight. Like 6th class could wear just 18 pound cannons and 12 pound coulverins (coulverine is a bit weaker but with way longer range cannons). And 1st class could wear 42 pounds cannons! I think in Atlas there would be a simple formula for damage: (Weight X 100 / 2) so 12 pound could land just 600 damage while 42 pound - 2100. But anyway. In Atlas firepower doesn't matter either. Because we can pick up a Brig and put there 6 cannons each side. Or even 12 cannons each side. Or even 18 cannons each side. Or like 10 stern cannons... we can put 10 cannons and they do 12 000 damage per volley. Or can upgrade ship and have like 24 000 damage per volley. Or can upgrade the cannons + ship and have like 43 000 damage per volley... 3) - No compromises. We have "all in one" ships. I mean we can build a battle vessel, with strong firepower, then put there storage and carry a lot of merchandise, then catch tames and carry them too, then go for treasure and underwater explorations etc, we can put there all smithy, tannery etc, and make em a mobile base for all purposes. ----------------------------------- So what do we have right now in total? Well I'll tell you. We have EVERYTHING we need. And we don't need anything else (I'm NOT saying WE DON'T WANT anything). It sad, but it made this way. I mean imagine there will be some kind of Frigate that can carry 10 gunports but it does 10 knots full sails and have slow turning speed? No one will want it because Brig can also carry 10 cannons and can do 14 knots and maneuverable as hell! ----------------------------------- IMAO - they should change all ship concept in the game, so players will stuck between desire and compromise. So players would choice - if they wanna cannons or cargo holds in ship hold. If they wanna carry alot of stuff, or battle damned ships. And ONLY THEN ship types will matter and we'll want more. Like 26 types of ship I mentioned here:
  22. Haha, yeah, today map finally got me in to C7. And I must say - this is worst ping server in PVE I've met so far : ) All damned army couldn't just hit me because of lags : ) I did lanfalls on all island on 48 grids already. And C7 - is hell.
  23. 40 - Underwater construction with lantern on gives you burning eyes bloom! Have you ever tried to build underwater during the night with lantern on? Well it looks like that: 41 - Maybe to cancel unlimited visibility would be a gr8 idea? I mean what if maximum visibility would be like that? And it changed over time? So... - Lighthouses will serve a purpose to guide us through mist. - No more islands appearing from nowhere. - I would also make with LODs all damned ships visible from all distances. So they would also appear from mist. Really guys! Make object visibility by RENDERING DISTANCE... The WoT game from 2010 was like that and even in 2010 players complained that this game mechanic is outdated!
  24. 39 - Lighthouse placement. I guess most of players are fine with this, but IMAO, this...
  25. 38 - Custom folders issues in personal inventory. Every time I log in - all my stuff from custom folders in inventory moves out of folders in to just inventory. Every time I die - all my custom folders just disappear.
