  1. Some of the Bps are really crazy on how many different types of the same resource they require. for example one might say. wood x4 25 Fiberx4 25 ironx4 25 Would nice nice if you add a higher cost single mat option like: wood x4 25/ wood x1 200 Fiberx4 25/Fiber x1 200 ironx4 25/Fiber X1 200
  2. maybe you need to do a trip. I was at a freeport last night with my schooner, stocking up on fire arrows. crafted myself 5k firegel, as the freeport had all the materials needed. I play on a 6x6 unofficial so i can't tell you what the freeports on official will be the same. But my guess is you can find sap(sugar) on damn near any island in the tropics. Edit: my island has dumb amounts of wolves, and tigers, snakes, scorpions. We are building massive gate perimeter today because we get packs of wolves almost every 10-20minutes at our bases front door.
  3. 9 is all you need and all i use. but you do get more damage if you spec in it. I had one of our guys go from lvl 8 to lvl 40 in less than 40 fire arrows last night. Just killing alpha rhino and alpha elephants.
  4. I'm more curious how you surive the cold, because the fur suit doesn't seem to do squat. unless you are wasting all your points into fortitude.

Does that mean you are willing to come to the fire side? fire arrows is the first skill right below the bow skill. but you do need to unlock the chemical tannery in order to craft the firegel. anysugar+fiber = organic paste organicpaste +flint= fire gel, fire gel +arrow= fire arrow. all done in the mortar and pestle.

Yes but there are better ways to do it. a raft takes 35+minute to cross a server(not timed but a guess) a sloop with 1 med speed can do it in about 20-22minutes(timed) a schooner with 1 large speed sail can do it in 10minutes(timed). now that we have a schooner...yes its time to go treasure hunting. But not for exp, exp is a bonus now, its for gold and bps. early lvls is when exp counts, and sailing around in a raft or sloop..ouch. At 33 i have a very very conformable amount of skills unlocked especially after patch so exp is no longer a concern. So bottom line is, killing alphas early on is the best way to lvl up.
  7. hardly, we only had 3 on last night. the 6x6(standard rates) unofficial we play on was wiped so we had to start over. first thing we did as soon as we could was stock up on fire arrows. after that it only took 1 person to take care of alphas while the rest farmed mats and built our base. the shared exp from killing alphas got us tons of lvls. We were laughing because every hit of a fire arrow was giving us 1 lvl. By the end of the nigh everyone was in their 20s, and i was 33 because i killed more alphas.We got our base, a sloop an 1 schooner done. half way thru the patch hit and we were amazed how many more skills we could unlock. at lvl 33 i can unlock an amazing amount of skills.
  8. huh? did't i just say that? sailing and doing nothing for 40+minutes is your idea of playing the game? i guess that explains why you think alphas should not exist.
  9. btw trasure hunts being better exp...thats questionable, i would say its about as much as 1 alpha kill for anything below 6.0 quality(have not tried higher yet). most treasure maps send you a few sectors away. that means you must waste 20-40+minutes sailing to location then waste the same amount of time getting back to base. thats a massive waste of time. When you can just wait for alphas to spawn near you as you harvest and craft things.
  10. sorry but it doesn't sound like you enjoy the idea of a game with any danger. you are asking for a "I win button" We have the same issues, but not the same problems. alpha boars and elephants on my island will kill any predators that attack them. We have used them as shields by leading predators to them. We built giant gates around our taming traps so we are not interrupted. We have plenty of fire arrows on base to burn down alphas if no veggie alphas around to fight them for us. also we built our base on top of pillars so no predator can agro or reach us while in base. As i said they are also great providers of large amounts of mats, so as we use them to lvl up we never have to waste time hunting down 100wolves for hide, because the occasional alpha wolf that shows up at our front door provides us with 1.5k+ easy. and with fire arrows around, it only takes 1 person to handle the alpha while the rest keep doing what they are doing and get massive shared exp.

Disagree, they are awesome for lving. the only annoying thing about them and predators in general is that they will agro you even when you are inside a building with doors closed and bite and damage the walls just because you were standing close to the wall. alphas are super easy to take care off with a few fire arrows. setting up a few traps outside your base helps too. when they spawn we have them chase us into one, then take our time laughing as we gain lvls from them. Not to mention they provide massive amounts of hides,bones etc. if you can't make fire arrows then just make a wood trap, doesn't take much work to place one or two near your base. doesn't work on snakes, but snakes as slow as hell and you can face shot them all day long with a simple bow.
  12. Crocs have isanely large agro range. They need a bit of a nerf on their damage reach as well. At first i thought the sloop was just too short, as the crocs agro the npc sailors and eat them as they sit on the side of the boat. So i made a schooner, which is an entire deck higher. Now the snakes and wolfs can't kill my crew, but the crocs have such an insane reach they still kill my crew, damage the ship and will even kill things like say a cow or nps that are standing in the middle of the deck! Their reach is insane. I'm pretty sure i have lost at least 8 npcs to crocs even when i anchor my schooner as good distance away from shore.
  13. already exist, the A1 group made a 5x6 grid with 600+ islands, the Left half(15servers) PVE zone, the Right half (the other 15) PVP. Its complete with all the power stones and a server for the game boss.
  14. The same mechanic comes in handy. someone parked a raft in front of our claimed land and we couldn't put down a shipyard. We had to load up and get on the raft to sink it. If it wasn't for that option we would have been screwed and unable to build boats on our own claim. so assuming they increase the weight, and they remove players limit sinking boats. Anybody else with that situation will be screwed. People tend to abandon rafts all over the damn place.
  15. you should be happy, bow+arrows and you get a few lvls out of it easy. My group of 10 had to deal with constant alpha wolf spawns next to our base. Once we got high lvl enough to use they are taken care off fast but damn..those things are crazy fast and a 1 bite kill. I'll take snakes any day..slow moving.
  16. would be nice. we lost a sloop last night trying to get to freeport to collect fiber. got ambushed by 2 ghost ships the second we crossed one of the borders.
  17. taxes is pve is just a NO. there is no reason or purpose to it. Othat than giving free resources to someone just because they were lucky enough to get there first and spam an entire island with flags. personally i just challenge them, claim them for myself and set them to 0 tax to any land near mine. If they don't like it they cant deal with my claim spams until I get it. Either way i only claim whats outside my door, if they want to run from across the island to resist a claim..thats on them.
  18. only one solution to this problem. what you suggest wont work. people will just spam 1 foundation huts all over the damn place. In ark they spam 1 foundation+1ladder attached. The only way to fix this is to get rid of perimeter blocks. so people can just build right next to enemy buildings....you know..like in real life.
  19. all bad, and i can already see how they would be abused big time. A simpler solution is 1 claim per tribe. with islands already having pre determined shore area plots that are claimable leaving the inside of islands NON claimable. And/or 1 claim per company+1 claim every 4 players added. Merger causing the loss of claims reset to the correct number to avoid abuse.
  20. Yes this is needed badly. I have found a few spots where its needed. Top Island of B4 for example has an area on the hills where i have found up to 9 animals stuck in a little crevice between rocks up in the mountains. I was stuck there myself and because it just kept my character jumping in place unable to actually get out. I was stuck there unable to die at 5hp, no sta and no food for like 30minutes before a friend helped me out. An option to die woud have allowed me to spawn in my base and come back with a climbing pick to rescue my stuff myself.
