  2. I can confirm that solo players have this issue. Make a company and your beds and ship will reappear.
  3. Nitrado sucks, renting a dedicated server is much better then paying overpriced servers at a gsp. Less control at a higher cost.

  5. I want to run my grids on Linux but I see that for now I'll keep going on windows. My boxes are fairly stable and been running smoothly since 30 December. Ill keep watching this thread like a hawk

  7. Ahoy! Anyone know a bit more about how the non-grid seamless world would work? I know the grid system will be removed, but what about the UE unit that is not recommended to exceed 14000000? That's like one grid on my server. So the question is: how big will a non-grid seamless world be? Or will it still run one server per grid but it preloads the grid before entering the new grid making it seem seamless? Also, how would we, who run bigger world's than one server can handle alone, link our cluster together? So many questions lol Thanks guys and girls
  8. Yes you can, but I dont think powerstones work if you have more than one PvE island in the same grid
  9. Thats what CPjet64 said during hes powerstone tutorial. In the middle of 3x3 grid he made the grid empty for the ghost ship to work in. And for the powerstones you need to make some invisible disco zones on the grid, and I think that is why you can only have one PvE island per grid if you want the stones to work. And then alot of tedious config coding.

  11. The question is: will it run better on Linux then on Windows. The latest update have really reduced the CPU usage per grid.
  12. You cant, CPjet64 explained in a video that you need a minimum of 3x3 grid for all the stones to actually work. Because just placing PVE islands is not enough for it to work. You need to do some more map editing and then some very tedious config coding. Else the Alter with the stone wont spawn after you kill the boss on the island. And then you just killed a boss and got no stone in return. As for the Ghost Ship boss. For that one to function properly you need one grid that is only sea (no island).
  13. This sometimes happen when the world is not correctly setup. What people found working was deleting islands and saved data and remake the world
  14. I've read that the minimum map size to have powerstones actually working is 3x3 grids. Its not enough to just place the PVE islands in a grid, there is a bit coding that needs to be done for it to work too. Else the Alters that holds the stone wont spawn after you killed the boss. Also Ghost ship which is a boss, and not the typical ship of the damned that is not the ghost ship. Requires a whole empty grid without any islands(just sea) for it to work correctly.

  16. Remember you dont want to max out your hardware. As more players join, the resource consumption increases. I never run my servers above 50% resource utilization. That gives room to have a lot of players. And we grow each day and I see that it was smart to have resources in reserve
  17. It dramatically depends on the CPU. I've seen servers running on i7 4gen and one grid slurps 20-30% CPU. We run our server on E5-1650 v3 and we use only about 5% per grid. So I think it matters what CPU you are using. And i7-3gen, i would not run more than 1 grid on it.
  18. We just recently expanded our server by an additional 6grids! Our size is now 4x3 (12 grids) And the new islands are very pretty and interesting! Look at this beautiful island And there are many more like this one! Super cool and interesting places to explore.
  19. That one is no longer working for merchant ship as of major v.9 Still works on wild life though. Said so in their patch notes
