I have sympathy for the people working for said company. They are just like you and me. They are trying to make a fun game and make some money off of it. How would you like people to judge you so harshly for the work you do at your job. You sound jaded.

Have a little empathy. They have a million things to fix while running a company. Things aren't gonna happen fast in an early access game. Again, I'm not a blind fanboy. I know they have screwed up a few things but they ARE trying.

This is not an indy race... this is a marathon. They are acting and that means something. People are so unappreciative THEY ARE TRYING. I'm not a super fan (I hate the recent stone construction nerfs) but I'm still happy they are trying and progressing!

Ya I think I'll rebuild well into land and then create a multilayered wall around my shipyard/dock. Stone just isn't worth it anymore

Apparently I suck at starting threads I guess I'm not controversial enough. Let me try this: Wildcard (and by association Grapeshot) rely on players to make thier games real hits. The best ideas in Ark came from modders. Then Wildcard just copied those awesome mods and added it into the game to make it better. My 1500 hours in Ark was spent on modded unofficial servers 95% of the time. I try not to rip on the devs because they are trying hard but the proof is in the pudding! And with that said, my guess is that we are MONTHS and months away from a pleasant gaming experience.

I haven't been able to play the past couple of days. The news about the stone mats is very disheartening. I play on pvpve unofficial servers so I dont have to worry about my base being raided usually. So are wood bases viable now since they seem to have increased the wood durability? Has wood defense been increased against alphas too? I didn't see anything regarding animal damage durability being increased. I guess I can just create multi layers of wood defense to keep out the alphas a little longer. Anyone test wood after this huge nerf? Thanks!

If they really are doing what you say then it's the worst decision ever. Burn thier player base to reduce numbers? Gamers are very unforgiving once pushed too far.

I've been a huge advocate for Grapeshot since day one. I've been hopeful even thru some of the most ridiculous nerfs. However, this is game breaking to me. Sap is sooo rare in my area and wood cant withstand alpha. That means I have no way to protect my small area from critters... not players... just animals. This change makes me want to take a break now

Official servers are the worst. I'm so glad I gave up on them a while ago. I haven't had a single griefing instance since i switched to a couple large unofficial servers. I float between two... ones pve and the other is a RP Pve/pvp server. Both communities are awesome and police themselves.

Instead of rage quitting why dont you submit a ticket so they know they need to work on it. Give them the info needed to fix the problem. Remember this game is still 2 years away from being released. So if you're not able to deal with bugs then maybe you should move on. I've had to rebuild and reroll quite a few times now because of bugs and exploiters. If i got worked up like you are right now I would step away. It sucks what happened to you but it could have been way worse. Bugs happen in early access. And sometimes they are really bad.

Pillars? If it's like ark, and I believe it is, then you can stack pillars in the water till they break the surface and then you can put a ceiling on it. Voila! Dock

Agreed. But they also check the forums so posting in both areas isn't a bad idea

Stop complaining about the complainers then. Just ignore them if it bugs you so much. Because MAYBE just MAYBE if enough people complain about things the devs will give it priority. Such as FOY issues, SoTDs still too plentiful, hacks, exploits... if people are allowed to vent then maybe the devs will take notice.

What's sad is that he has no idea how hes coming across. There are sooo many lazy parents today. Proper social interaction is a necessary skill parents need to teach thier kids but instead they just let thier kids play games and watch TV instead. Ok now I'm sounding really old... Spoiled angry screaming children like this guy just really bother me now that I'm a parent.
