  1. history repeats itself. too bad they didn't learn a bit from ARK
  2. in all seriousness: this feature or whatever you want to call it is beyond stupid. if you don't want us to breed animals or especially horses then tell us but this way it's just trolling us, the players.
  3. 1. without a keel or a rudder the raft apparently can't be controlled at all. so i guess we can consider us lucky that WE can to some extent. 2. how could you learn to ride when you got no tamed creature to practice on ? riding should be a seperate branch in Beastmaster. that way you can decide whether you want to ride your tames and spend skillpoints into or whether you just want to ride a horse or elephant then invest in riding and purchase your ride from a tamer. 3. 4.
  4. just wait 'til the pvp fractions figure out the drawbacks and complain and it will get tweaked in no time
  5. i get it, fire arrows were too powerful. now they are ridiculous. once they were the one and only way to fend off alphas you encountered landing on an island and trying to settle. now they're just good enough to set your enemy's sails on fire if at all. i expect a fire arrow to do more damage than a regular one but nada. 3 arrows in a (low lvl) pig killed it where one fire arrow barely made one third of the damage. consider that the next 2, regular, arrows killed the pig although it did heal already while switching arrows. so much nerfing on fire arrows and bow but hardly any fixes to other essential stuff. - the raft still is a pos to steer - being able to ride to tame makes no effing sense - every rain comes with tornados while on sea - temperatures switch for 60 degrees in a spilt second (and yes i get the fact that it gets cold in the desert at night but wearing some clothes should ectually prevent you from freezing to death especially in tropical regions) ...
  6. this 1 shot durability thing makes no sense especially when you have a bow that's better than common. costs to repair it are too steep and 40-45 arrows are fired quick and often useless thx to crooked hit boxes
  7. the aging is way too steep considering that it might have an impact later on. why have my toon age when it doesn't have any impact ? turn it off then. or at least slow aging down drastically. 17 years in 277 days is beyond my understanding. in another 277 i only can be at the captain's wheel after my crew got my walker from my cabin. bogus
  8. ok, nerfed arrow flame arrows and bows on top. what about borged hitboxes ? it would make perfect sense if your nerfed arrows in the end would do the damage they're intented to do
  9. Aging in game - a nice idea or not ? no clue though. but seriously, i aged 13 years in one week of playing this game and the stats state it's day 243. does that mean that in about 1,5 weeks at day 600 i only can make it to the deck using a walker ?
  10. this fact of the matter is that the blueprint only asks for for 2/3/4/etc types of metal fiber hide yadda yadda yadda but it doesn't tell you what types whether tin copper silver ... and to get that straight: that goes for every blueprint better than common no matter whether it's for a structure a weapon a tool or armor. that's where it gets kinda (insert your choioce here)
  11. many animals in this game don't seem to have a damage multipler at all - it's plain ZERO. any effing bird and fishes for instance. but on the other hand all wild animals have an awesome healing multiplier
  12. paint the sail you want to edit / custom paint using the paintbrush on your sail ingame. just make it a white dot or anything you like then save your creation preferably with the name of the sail or whatever you feel like you can recall easily. open your file browser and search for the file you just saved. it most likely will be in your Atlas folder under /saved/my paintings or somethinmg like that. the file name should contain the name you used to save it followed with various extensions after a _ . those vary depending on the type of sail. how to proceed from there on depends on whatever. i didn't get mine to fit yet though - but i found the file :)
  13. fix the skill tree instead of nerfing it already. why do i have to learn riding before i can tame a creature ? no damn chicken parrot seagull or monkey can be ridden but i have to learn riding first = bogus. leave alone that i probably would have no effing clue how to ride when i never ever had the chance to tame a creature to ride on.
  14. why would they ? they got admin rights and the console. 'gimme this and that skill and since it's so nice and easy i'll take a bit of the one over there as well'. when ppl can't cook they often end up doing a gumbo at least that's what i do when i don't want spaghetti or micro-waved mashed potatoes. i'm pretty sure WC/GS/Snail did the same. taking the worst of 2 worlds, aka ARK and D&L, throw in some bucanneers and freebooters and mix it with Tarot to perfection = ATLAS oh wait, it tastes a bit weird so we tweak the skill system to get most of the t[a/e]sters a salty taste. if you ever tried D&L you know what i'm talking about. ever since they started working on that ARK more and more fell off the table when it came to bug fixing. D&L is far from being finished and already we got Atlas. worst thing ever to happen to WC was selling out to Snail
  15. it's far from perfect what is the use of picking up taming when i don't have the skill to fling a bola at my target due to the lack of skill points. pirates most likely work in a team, a crew, but it's not that they only are able of a single skill. if you want to cook for your crew you're stuck in the pantry while your crew explores the island ? cut me some slack here but the skill system as it was was a little steep already with not unlocking the basic skill in a branch once you unlocked the branch in basics. now it's utter nonsense.
  16. easier said than done when there is no Rushes only the rashes i get looking for. any idea where to get Rushes from ? couldn't find any on our island as of yet. knocked over every tree so far ...
  17. taming mechanics sound like fun - NOT.
