if you rly want to put effort into an alpha trading system that makes no sense, here is how it is working atm quick reminder this is an EA game, so things are not working as intended, some are exploitable if this game releases, this is not the final trading system alpha trading system: put stuff in your warehouse you wanna trade select your trade partners/routs that have not your resources you have trade 1:1 only trade stone for stone like marble for sandstone or wood for wood like softwood for strongwood that would be it, you can stop there and make 5k a day at least or you can push it how hard you can exploit this system i think i am on 30k a day and i do not even give stuff into the warehouse because i did set up trades that go in a circle, basically trading like before last patch (trading sandstone for sandstone), i also do 3 different wood types and stone types, not only 2, and i have 4-8 active trading routs (stone wood thatch 1:1) you just need the ppl that are doing the same and since it is working only that way, sooner or later you notice that by yourself you generate gold by nonsense trades you can trade forth and back with the same ppl aswell wich is stupid so i trade off my sandstone for marble and i receive marble, then i trade the marble for sandstone that is on my grid anyway (no need farmhouses), then it repeats, i added granite into the circle, so granite for marble and sandstone, marble for sandstone and granite and sandstone for marble and sandstone. same you can do with the wood types and thatch, flint is an alternative trades are high speed and automatic at the moment, wich will change i would not want to develop such a trading system.. a pain i can imagine... but with limits and balance it could be kinda working like that, limit forth and back trading, limit same server/island and alliance trading (exploiting) and the auto trading will be off by then anyway. no gold rewards if trading with the same person over and over again maybe aswell in the end... maybe this system changes and is based more on resources rather than gold. trading wood for gold is not bad either. for spreading resources tho, this would be the better system (the currently active one)

Lol well it’s a bit hard to explain without showing and I tried to upload a picture but it is too big to do from my phone. Basically I set up a loop of all my resources I am collecting when setting up the trade I do cotton for ANY fiber my wetwood and light wood for ANY wood, my roots for ANY thatch. Etc etc. When I say ANY, that means I am choosing the request icon that looks like the basic resource of that item. When you do that so long as the person you are trading with doesn’t actually those basic broken down resources in their warehouse it will substitute it for whatever specific resource they do have so long as it is not the one you are sending them already. I then set up another trade of whatever resources I am getting from my trade partners back to them . Hope I explained this in a way that isn’t to confusing. Sometimes I cancel my trades if I’m not getting a lot of activity from a particular company and the tried to find a partner that I trade more with. I have a journeyman lumberyard, and fine quarry. Rest is common

I've been playing single player on XBox and once I leave the grid I spawned on and try to restart game the load screen freezes an I get dash boarded. I've deleted save files and tried again and again and always the same results once I shut down on a different grid the save gets corrupted. I even uninstalled and reinstalled. Is this a know problem and should stop playing for another 6 months.

@George Catcher 1. Your a bit vague on the details, also I'm not sure I can explain it any better. 2. Tried just demo the market and replacing it? 3. UI used to list around 20-40 ships on each active trade route, dunno if that helps 4. Are you actively speaking w your trade partners? I actively spoke w 3 of my 4 trading partners in chat and we would all usually demo and replace our markets and configure our trades together one at a time when things were glitchy. 5. Also as long as my money was coming in I didn't touch it, like at all. Treated it like fine china. Hopefully info helps, good luck

@Ranger1k we are on pvp NA lawless, with no control points. I have noticed some trades seem to degrade the longer they go on so I have to cancel those that start underperforming and find new ones that are more successful. About every 3-4 days I notice a decrease in income and have to adjust for it

Any news when they drop the ULTIMATE SOLO DOOM patch ? At the moment i just feed the pets, npcs and armored docks. I feed them for the noob with the claim tower who will take all of my stuff 45 minutes after patch drop.... I can already hear the laughter of all these exploiter kiddies just waiting for the moment.

do not make up your mind about this broken trading system, it is not reflecting anything in future, it is just running high speed for testing, it will have limitations that are not in place yet. atm you can abuse this system in many ways aswell. you even can fake a market for getting your trade route accepted, lawless has better market flow, and the unlimited gold is just KEKW in the end we will trade that what we need and not that we make gold with by shipping stuff forth and back.

only bug i've ran into so far is the stupid beds and ships vanishing on map selection after death. (the ships are still physically in the world they just dont show icons), this bug is old and has been in the game for a long time, not just sp. If grapeshot really cares about its player base it would focus more on these annoying bugs that break game play. Not everyone wants to play pvp on their stupid official servers....

"In the patch dropping early next week, we’ll be introducing a new claim system to the lawless regions of Atlas. Moving forward, Pathfinders will now be able to claim land in these areas using a claim tower that will claim everything within its radius after it reaches full health. This takes about 45 minutes and may be sped up with gold. These changes will take effect immediately with the release of the new update and will make your structures be vulnerable to being claimed by others. Armored Docks may be claimed in this manner, and that includes the ships docked there! " This is a truly awful change to make, and I sincerely hope you guys either scrap or fundamentally change this new system, at the very least for PvE servers. It doesn't even really make sense for PvE servers. Are we going to be able to attack the towers, thereby being forced into PvP, or are we just going to be given 45 minutes to say goodbye to everything we worked for? Do they get our tames, and if not, what happens if some or all of our tames are in a structure that was just claimed by a tower? And then there's the duration. 45 minutes is ridiculously short, it punishes anybody who plays solo or in a small company who has the audacity to sleep (and refuses to not). Allowing it to then be sped up with gold further benefits large companies and alliances, who can afford to dump significantly more gold into these towers than small companies and the like. Please don't implement this system on PvE servers, at least not without significant changes. My group of friends and I have really been enjoying this game, but we're already looking at different games to switch to because of this patch. We would all much rather play Atlas, but it's feeling like the devs aren't interested in retaining players like us. Really hope I'm proven wrong.

They don't care about PvE. Read the previous post. To the Devs PvE is comparable to Single Player and that isn't at all their focus... PvErs are just the silent investors in this endeavor. So sit silently in your corner with the rest of us so that PvP can dictate what happens. It's why our servers merged: Oh shoot.... We still have PvErs interested in this game. Lets squeeze them till the move to community managed servers and then we can ignore them further. Different Devs but same M.O. as "Grapeshot/Wildcard" Devs. Lets hope that one day they see value in the PvE and even RP players... As these were some of the best iterations of the game I played (Note that on these servers Mods were involved to fix many of the issues they sit with now. Also that these servers were mainly PvPvE).

@PHaRTnONu thank you for this statement to this very important PvP points. When i read this Dev Post i think they just took Chukikis last post in this forum with lots of bullshit points. Maybe on Discord there are the same guys like him complaining about things that are no issue... Why the hell there is a need in increased cannonball speed? Yes, cannons that protect your harbor entrance can miss 100% of their shots if a fast ship crosses or drives straight because of a bad auto aim functionality for NPCs. That's no issue of the cannonball speed. Also ship fights are great. The meta is broadside cannons - perfect. It should be difficult to chase another ship that trys to escape! Your own ship is to slow so you may need forward chace cannons with increasd range? I say NO. With Gally you can't dodge... if you stop the enemy gets in front of you in most cases. So this is only important for Brigs (and Shooner) with handling sails. Those ships are meant to be more agile and depend on a playstyle where you can avoid the broadside of the galleon. Yes you can dodge some shots but the enemy can predict this. You can also bait an enemy to think you may stop. If balls are faster you will never miss due to worse aim... that's all... great for the one with the better ship and better repair team. Youtube: Don Vidal -> have a look on his battles with the Brig Playboy vs Gummibaeren or Omerta. This are great battles in my opinion. The enemy make great moves to escape and doge the Gally several times - even the lvl 60 Myst Brig Playboy is barely capable of getting the sails of Omerta gally down. I see no issue in cannon ball speed in this battles. Also very good job from Omerta with sails repair, they where really close to escape there at some points. The issue I see is one Gummibaeren Brig that is loosing sail, NPC, captain and steering wheel from one catapult barrel shot. Don't know how complicated that shot was but the damage is done. So I see more rear cannons + every ship with rear catapult for barrel compared to season 3/4 Meta. Gummis defended themselves with rear barrel too but missed their shots. Well island defending is based on numbers of players. If a 20 people attack with 5 cannon horse or now catapult barrels strikes your 5 crew island you settled only for 2 weeks you are wiped in 1-2 hours. If you attack 30-50 players main island after 2-3 month in the game it is a massive war that takes days to win.(see videos from decoyy regarding this). Only pretty safe place is building base on the highest pillar. Ships are not safe if you do not have one of the best islands and massive structure spam or you have the numbers to defend 50-100 players. Ships can be easy sunk by one cannon tame getting close to it... more often in a safed habor than actually a harbor run attack or Dragons. Puckles are useless(out ranged by cannons) but still a time sink for attackers. They can protect high pillars of course.(if you know how to place them due to bug when shooting down standing on a celing) Well lawless claim we will see how this works. Maybe better than nothing but it can be captured. At least some more protection but if you are offline you loose all, even your armored dock? LOL! Why do you spend gold then? XP is a very weird topic. There should be some long term progress RPG. Currently you need the 120 level as solo Player to get nearly all skills. As Company Player you can split jobs but in the end everybody wants to do everything of course. If you reduce available skill points you hurt solos(who don't get to level 120). Reskill is possible every level up for free or with gold on freeport. Ok but sometimes a time sink of 20-30 minutes. So on the one hand you have good MMO expirience in a starting group where you have to choose your skills in different areas to get faster to the endgame content like carabine or large ships, farm/warehouse etc. Bosses should give huge XP if defeded but as seen it can't be "abused" by large companys with easy access and doing this several times in a row(besides the shared XP bug at Yeti) The discovery points currently limit the max level but again megas have advantage here too. So if changed we need more easy access to the crafting skills for structures, ships, weapons and cannon while keeping some skills important to achive in a long term playing. Like some buffs that increase weapon handling by 5-10% or the captain skills skaling with your time spend on sea. Also important to reduce the max health and stamina from 300 maybe to 200. Tames get less important so that skill tree can be reduced.

Singleplayer is unplayable. Don't waste your time. Your save WILL get corrupted in this current build. Play online PC with a dedicated server using Phoenix125's server manager method. Search the forums and you will find it.

Save games get corrupted whenever you play in the current version of the game. At least in single player or non-dedicated. It started a while ago, but it's not fixed yet.
