Hello, I think most of the server lag is due to offline players bodies still being in the server and in the water. I think Those who are offline bodies should disappear after 1min. This prevent players who battle log in fights but i think till overall reduce server lag. I think.

They are undergoing server maintenance they said we should be able to join but all freeports are down and we can barely connect to lawless regions.

So i'm based in the UK and can not for the life of me join any EU servers PvP or PvE? (and NO it's not because of Brexit!) lol However i am able to join both the NA PvP and PvE servers? I do not have a VPN running and should'nt need one to be able to join my own regions servers?

Yeah, this issue is so easy to occur. I didn't notice the first cluster I was entering in. When I timed out, I just jumped into the next available one and bam, been out of commission since. There needs to be a stopgap for this. If you are going to change zone, there should be a prompt that notes of character loss. -
The EU PvP Server is currently being hosted in NA. You can check this by connecting to the server and checking which IP addresses your game connects to. It shows a american IP address as well as an "na-east.."-AWS server. That also explains why the ping is so high for EU people on EU servers compared to NA people on NA servers. We only get a ping of 150 and above, while NA people are getting pings as low as 40. Please fix this, it should be a real EU server.

You can only build on territorial islands (IE: Parts of the map that are not generally reserved for spawning players in) so that ppl have a chance at minimum to get their sh*t together... while I think they should have staggered them, I do also enjoy the fact that I can island hop without worry and start again to increase my level

For part of this maintenance, we've released a new major version (v5.0). You can restart your steam clients to download the update, this will allow you to connect to and play on the Official Network whilst we iterate on the servers. stupid font... to lazy to stop it, but it says we should be able to play during maintenance.

@sailtheatlas We've pushed a minor client side update to resolve some client crashes. Restarting your steam client should will allow you to download it, but it isn't necessary to connect to our Official Servers. Current Client Version: 4.3 After AtlasGame_2018-12-23_19-59-33-209_converted.mp4

The drop FPS is.... @sailtheatlas We've begun redeploying our Official Network to start our Maintenance. We expect this to last approximately 4 hours, but will keep you posted should there be any changes due to scope changes. Thanks for your patience everyone. It won't let you get in since it is in their server information, the server lost you but the system knows you have a character in the world but the system can't find it and that is the message you are getting. copy paste the link of this thread on their twitter accounts in the comments below the their last tweets- should catch their eye. I'm agreeing with the majority of you guys. I posted this not to insult Atlas but as a kinda sarcastic/for the lols type of post. I am 100% sure this game will get amazing reviews once its working. Most of the "reviewers" definitely seem to be uneducated. This will hopefully pull itself out of the gutter soon and ratings will improve quickly. I actually agree with you 100%. I think there should be indepth testing before any public access is allowed regardless. A lot of people don't comprehend the Early Access part though and expect to be able to play a flawless game right away.

Many MMOs don't leave your body in game when you log out. Seems like at least for PVE, the body should not remain. Maybe for PVP (not my thing), it could stay just 15 minutes. The snoring at the freeports is ridiculous.

Look, if you are angry, you are angry. Nothing I am going to say is going to change that. What it should be and what it is are often two different things. So do you want to sit here all day an rage or go find something that doesn't increase your blood pressure. It is your choice if you want to be optimistic about the patch and the future of the game but running around throwing shade doesn't help anything. It is like someone honking their horn in the middle of a traffic jam. Hey. Buddy. We are all in this together.

Pretty much, yeah. These jokers don't seem to have any clue what they're doing. I mean hell, the Ark team wasn't particularly competent and this is basically like their B team. All they need to do to fix it is give the option to manually create an entirely new character, so your client isn't asking the server for information on your previous character, but I'm sure we'll go through five 'maintenance' cycles with them trying to fix the root problem instead of getting a patch in place first before they get it. And you know how their maintenance goes. We've already had the first one hour delay on what should be a quick fix, probably several more to come. They might put out the first failed fix by the time the night is out lol.

You should probably be aware in the future that game (played) time means nothing. --> standing there at the main menu for hours on end looking at an empty server list still counts as time played. (steam just knows, the game is running) ive NEVER had a chance to play yet. and im already over my 2 hour refund window.

Place a wall and while it is still green you should see the text "Type" (I think it was called that), etc at the bottom left of the screen...press the hotkeys there to cycle through the wall types until you see the door frame. Not sure about fishing, I haven't tried it yet.
