  1. I mean it's not necessary they really do that, but... there is a Overwatch game from Blizzard and CEO of this game Jeff Kaplan do read Reddit alot. And for example there is Russian part of their official forum, and there were NO devs there since this forum appeared. And even US-EN part of their official forum has lack of DEVs attention. Sometimes absolutely stupid situation happen - guys DO DEVS MESSAGES REPOSTs from Reddit to Official Forum. How is that???
  2. Maybe they do read reddit? I mean I saw this kind of situation, when game has official forum different languages, but all DEVs do read, comment, discuss is reddit. All game related news there are like: "Game CEO answered to reddit...", "players started thread on reddit, and devs react..." etc.
  3. It... somehow connected to net-code of the game. We've been to situation when I was experience 255 and run/stops gameplay. At the same time my bro, sitting next room (both our comps connected to same single router) running next to me in a game was fine at 45ms. Also I few times asked in chat about ping issues when I had 255. And players said - they running smooth. Also I often experience step-sailing after I cross the grid (255), and after a while it fixes. So all ping issues happen right after you log in to server.
  4. Yeah. I keep telling this through forum since the beginning. This game is so many efforts with so little reward or even no reward at all. We are all, who sails alot (I mean who WAS sail alot, not these times) keep telling about unfair loosing ship issues. - Camping border SotDs and whales are WRONG and something REALLY needs to be done with (and it's not just they engage combat before you load! Couple times I found myself stuck right inside of damned ship, with no way out, just watching they killing me). And because right now we experience lack of player's battle ships and more non battle sloops and schooners, all damned ships and aggressive whales mostly following em and moving to the borders. Really, I never saw so many camping borders damned ships every past seasons. - Crashing game, while you sailing. And most important - unable to relog fast, because you need to enter and exit the game several times, see this blinking message of unable to join, or force message that you can not log in, because you already logged in. And all this time you ship runs full speed, and no one knows will it hit iceberg, or island, or damned ship, or whale. Usually it takes 1/3 of whole grid to log in. - And about whales. Sometimes there are invisible walls around them. So you run fast, full sails and suddenly get your planks damaged. And then you find that 300 yard from you there is a whale and it just somehow did ranged damage to your vessel. In 2 years I lost like more than 50 different ships. And guess what? THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SHIP I LOST IN BATTLE!!! ALL to game issues. To server lags. To ship ejecting me to the ocean near damned squad. To game crashes. To game physics issues (like once I press rise the anchor, my ship twitched, hit the pier and get all 14 planks in one side gone). ------------------------- One possible solution is a way to buy your ship back, btw. I mean if you loose it, then it appear in freeport shop for few days (weeks???) and ready to be bought back, for small amount of golds. With no crew, empty boxes, but same design, same paint, and same level.
  5. Originally the idea was simple. We get some good blueprints, then go global for all different kind of resources. Later on, some tames improvement happen and ppl went global to gather tames as well (I mean, when we first settle in tundra, we had to go 6 grids away for saps, to get our fur clothes crafted and we really needed at least bear, but it's better full stack - bear, elly, giraffe, and horse, to build a ships fast). Then DEVS told, they wanna us to spend more time in the ocean, and for that: - They dramatically reduced chance of good and useful ships blueprints (for example, I didn't see any mythic large sail blueprints in a year). And then they greatly increased power of common ships, so now common ship way more powerful than mythic ship at the beginning. With same strength of damned ships, ghostship and Kraken, no more need to get good ship bps and go global for crafting mats. - They balanced all damned armies to only tames. In a mean time you still get oneshots from lvl-80+ warriors no matter what armor you wear. And you can not kill a single warrior no matter what type of weapon you carry. So... no more need a good bps for armor and weapon, and no more global sailing for mats either. We just need one single tiger, couple bottles of grog and everything is fine. - They introduced automated resource gatherers. So no more bears, giraffes, rhinos and elephants for needed for that. No more global sailing for tames. - And now they introduced automated way to gather resources around the world, and also gold generator, so no more need to sail anywhere for different resources and gold at all. Basically they told they wanna us to go to the ocean and made everything so we don't need to go there. I really do hope this all part of some bigger plan and everything will be revealed in nearest future. But right now all seems very wrong to me.
  6. Hey Grapes guys. Could you please tell us at least approximate time of next wipe? I mean at least tell us will it be next month, at the end of winter, upcoming spring??? Because there were alot of talks about new claiming system, thats gonna be here soon™, and everyone think it's go live with wipe. The problem here is I can't force myself to play, knowing that soon™ we're all gonna start over. So I could test everything up, but I enter the game, just to gather food, relaunch my windmill, ang then logout. I just can't help it!
  7. Thx. This system so unclear and weird made, so I don't plan ever back to it, and next season probably gonna gather gold old fashion way (treasure maps, wrecks).
  8. Little update to my gold situation. I've noticed if I have gems, gunpowder, cannonballs and eggs in my warehouse (all stuff I DIDN"T set for trading) then I'll have a gold as income. If I don't - then no gold : ))
  9. Nope. I'm really full of resources, usually have like 3 full stack of wood (10 000 each), same with other. My windmill keep stop doing it works due to lack of storage space, so my warehouse can not gather all my windmill produces. My guessing is - maybe the reason from the other side? Like guy whom I trading with have lack of resources? Or maybe this is some kind of bug, because... I'm not sure but it seemed to me that at some point my warehouse stopped burn a fuel. It showed it works, but amount of coal was at the same level. I stop gathering, then start it again, and after that I've got my gold income back. Today I found just 178 gold tho...
  10. You know... I... after some neighbor guys drop the game for 20 days, I was able to demolish their farmhouse and build my. Then after another 20 days, I was able to demolish another player warehouse, and build my. And I finally got my trading set. You wanna know what happened next? My windmill produce just regular wood, thatches, fiber and stone. I set to trade 1x1 my type of wood to all other type of wood. Thatches for thatches. Fiber for fiber. Stones for stones. And that's it. The next day I found in my warehouse tons of gems, metal, ingots, gunpowder, cannonballs and eggs. Why??? ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯ I just set something for trading, and got something I didn't set in trading back. I guess it just works this way. The way we never understand. There are trading logs in market. It gives you like 90 pages of logs everyday. All logs looks like that: "You shipment 290479832754928745234 was sent", "You shipment 10803457538573 was complete". You wont be able to navigate those insane numbers to make it clear at all. And gold. Yeah. Logs keep saying like: "You've got 9 gold for taxes". Sometimes it's 18. If you check your warehouse and pick a gold once a day, you'll get like 1200 gold per day. Or 800 gold. Or 600 gold. Or even NO gold at all. After a week I had 3 days when my trading didn't produce a single golden coin for me. Even tho logs were keep telling me about 9/18 gold tax income. Why? ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯ So...overall. You set your trading. You get some random resources in trade back. And you get some random gold as a result of trading. Or in some occasions - no gold at all. And you can not understand how it works, how to control that, how to navigate that. As for 5 000 schooner, well... it's couple days of sloop sailing to lvl-5 bottles (usually one grid away from the bottle and easy doable solo with lvl-1 bear tame), and also shipwrecks checking out. Lvl-10 wreck gives you around 300 gold. Lvl16 gives you around 600-800. I personally don't like this trading system so much, so I WONT set it the next season at all, and gonna earn my 5 000 schooner old fashion way.
  11. Yeah. That's true. As SotD Hunter who took down hundreds of them I must say, most of time I do ignore most of week damned fleet. Those small one even lvl-50+ are totally waste of cannonballs, due to little XP reward and poor loot. Middle size... well... most of them are also trash and waste of resources. When I'm in to hunting, most of time I travel though Goldens searching huge damned Galleys lvl30++ only those are worth killing. And this is bad, because I don't do cleaning work in my grid, and even sailing my warbird, I also avoid damned ships, as if I sail some non battle schooner... This fleet Idea also perfect. Something like that was in old Russian game Corsairs. Depending on ship you had, you could search for small trade guy with small escort to rob, and after you've got huge floating fortress, you could try trade expedition fleet.
  12. ...and one more update. After 3 days of NO GOLD income, suddenly gold started to appear in my warehouse again. So... I guess this trading stuff working hidden and unknown way, and only far depths of game code understand how it works : ))
  13. I've managed to place my with 6x7 foundations, so it should be just a bit bigger than you made. And yeah, don't forget that if there are more than 3 structures near, it'll work with just 25% efficiency.
  14. 19) - Addition trading related features. First - when some1 cancel trading with you, you CAN NOT hide this canceled route from trading menu in market. I asked guys in my server, and they told, that only chance to erase it - is to destroy a market and build another one. And one more thing. It's been a bit more than a week since I set my trading. I already told about unexpected resources I've got. And now... well... my trading works well, I've got 6 ships doing business, and I've got plenty logs saying my "shipment" is complete and gold for that is received. All is fine. Except - I don't get a gold for that anymore. I mean it sais that I've got a gold for shipment in logs, but last few days my warehouse didn't receive a single coin. So what did you say about trading? It's a way to earn gold right? Well after a week it doesn't generate gold anymore. So I guess I need to destroy market. Build another one. And create new routes, right? And every week I need to destroy my market and build another one? p.s. - My Christmas tree didn't produce a single gift.
  15. I'm gonna spread couple of photoshop I've made (with my poor photoshop skills) through the forum. So... a) - Damned ship looks could me more realistic, not some alien crustaceans made some bones ship and then put disco rave dance party inside. So instead of this: We could gladly see this: b) - Inventory menu made with TOTALY MISSPLACED ACCENTS! I mean we have small backpack, but huge opened crafting part (I just noticed I can hide crafting). Crafting window has ALL recipes together. Then we have smallest window with most important information, especially that tiny buffs parts where you should scroll it for all 50 buffs you've got... and then HUGE portrait, which no one cares about. We don't have that many armor types and cosmetic you know? So instead of this: We could see something like this: d) - And of course this minimalistic interface. Even small Russian company that made pirate game Corsairs ages ago, worked a bit on interface graphic. With all old paper, wood, rope, gold and royal velvet elements. I know next picture don't look perfect, but I just wanna show THE IDEA that instead of this: We could play something this like:

  17. You forgot to mention HATS for bears, cats and rabits tames : ))) Well... if we are going to be serious then... yeah. I also came to THE GAME of sailing age, piracy and adventures. And in 2 years there were: - just 2 more types of damned ships I fight. - Shipwrecks I occasionally dive for. - Some rebalance related to the treasure maps, and resource gathering. - Cargo saddle with storage box, I use with my horse. And that's it. That's all what was added for me in 2 years. -- I don't care about tames, dinos, hats, dolphins etc. I'm not here to play happy farm guy, that do all taming and breeding. Everytime I put alot of XP in to beastmastery - I feel sad, because I forced to do so. There is no alternative to tames in high lvl treasure map fighting. -- I don't care about all this trading stuff. I'm not here to play middle age tycoon. -- As solo player I never been to Kraken, Yeti, Thench, because game just doesn't provide any instrument to gather players in groups and do all stuff together with all other players. And yeah...   19. This all trading stuff working so weird and totally unclear way, so I just don't wanna to deal with it ever again. I mean... after a wipe I'll probably won't set any of trading, and gonna make gold old fashion way, by treasure, wrecks and global sailing. I'm not sure why devs don't wanna us to do that...
  20. Devs should at least make a statement of at least approximate time of next wipe. Will it be soon. This/next month? Because right now I can't force myself to continue my voyage, knowing that probably soon I'll have to start over again.
  21. Before continue as I promised, I just wanna remind - I have kinda poor photoshop skills. But anyway. I've tried my best. 18) - Inventory interface. What is bad about inventory - TOTALY MISSPLACED ACCENTS! I mean we have small backpack, but huge opened crafting part (I just noticed I can hide crafting). Crafting window has ALL recipes together. Then we have smallest window with most important information, especially that tiny buffs parts where you should scroll it for all 50 buffs you've got... and then HUGE portrait, which no one cares about. We don't have that many armor types and cosmetic you know? We also have some numbers that doesn't tell us a thing. I mean what does it mean I have 179 armor? How many absorb it provides me? How many do I need to face a yeti??? And this HYPOTHERMAL INSULATION - 353??? What is that? What does it tell me you know? It tells me that I have some sh*t for 353... We've got a funny in Russia: Airplane is flying high in the skies. Suddenly captain scream his order: - Navigator! Gauges!!! Navigator calls back: - Twenty!!! Cap: - What do you mean by twenty? Nav: - What do you mean by gauges? I would change all that to something like that: With back pack I already told what should be changed. All recipes must be sorted in folders like in smithy. Central part is best for name, xp, level, portrait and clothes spots. Right part - for numbers. - Armor should show how many damage absorb I've got. - All temperature stuff should show just what temperature I'm going to have "cold", "freeze", "hot" and "overheat" state. - All bonuses I've got should be sorted by folders that I can open and close. Like all I've got from quests - in quests folder. All I've got in survival, like my swim speed, cold water resistance, harvesting boost, etc. - in Survival folder. Also if the same bonuses can appear in different parts (like taming in quests and beastmastery, or some damage bonus might be at weapon skills and in the weapon and armor itself) I should be able to point my mouse to the stat and popup window shows how may I have in total. And last thing. You might notice - temperature, grid name, time are gone, well... that's actually first line important information that should be with us all the time. It means: "Grid gauge" should be introduced. It shows: - Grid name and it's type (L) for lawless and (F) for freeport. - Grid type by special sign, like tundra sign, polar sign etc. - Weather sigh, like rain, fog, clear sky, tornado etc. - Time of day. - Temperature. And yeah. C'mon DEV's I still do care about the game that much, so I spend a lot of time do all text (I'm not English speaker, so this is not that easy for me) and all this photoshop stuff. So please read this one at least one. Maybe you'll have inspiration of all this stuff and change at least something for good?
  22. lvl-5 bottle is usually 1 grid away from where you found a bottle and easily "zerg" by just a regualr (even lvl-1) bear tame. It gives you around 250-300 gold. So it's actually matter of couple days - sailing sloop and digging a treasures. Also check shipwreck. Lvl-10 is around 300 gold. Lvl-18 around 600-700!!! I once got 2 wrecks next to eachother - one lvl-16 another lvl-18. Lucky me!!!) Then you go Schooner, and things go global. Go to NE island at C6 to catch a high lvl Tiger (caution this island has insane wild animals spawn so building not just a trap but also a shelter - highly recommended). And do all high lvl maps (don't forget to wear an armor and drink grog before fight. Tiger also drinks a grog btw, but his buff goes for only 5 minutes). It's tricky, do to lvl-20 map with tiger but his bleed attack goes long way. The only thing you should know - if damned warrior (or solder) don't swing his weapon for a while - he buried underground and restore health. So you have to make him swing and avoid attack. To do so - you either move backward or hit him before he hits you. Patience, caution and let the bleed do all work (it's around 5-10% of health per hit). So you go global. Do treasure. Put couple of ballistas to stern and do whales quests. Do mermaid quest. And do alot of discoveries. I personally go to a grid for the first time (if there is no goldens there), dig treasure, and do all landfalls this grid. So count this phase of a game as "earning gold and max levels". By the time you'll get your 18k for brig you'll probably have max-lvl around 60+ (enough for all in captaining skill tree), and then you will be able to join the battles on BRIG. There is just a one problem. Game still instable. There is a risk to hit whale or damned legion camping a grid border. And... well... you can loose your Schooner right the first voyage after you get a ship. It... happened to me. Game just crashed and didn't allow me to log in until my schooner was destroyed. Can you imagine how unhappy I was that day!!! As for trading... it's... wel... I mean it's super stupid and boring. You put 3 prefab building, set your trading routes, and wait until you'll get some resources you even didn't set for trading, and also gold around 1500 each day. You just don't understand - why you get all those resources. You see like 90 pages of logs per day with messages like: "You shipment 923759832475983749 was sent" "You shipment 1123412341231212413987931234124 was complete". I mean... It made really weird way. It's like "money for nothing" and you don't get how it's actually work. After a next wipe I WONT even try to set those things up again. It's better to explore the world and get gold. I don't know why devs don't wanna us to do that...

Okay Grapes guys, I do understand you very busy to inventing even more cool features (which I won't ever use anyway, because I don't care about tames, tames hats, all trading stuff - I didn't came here to be a pirate age tycoon, etc.) But hear me out. Maybe you stop inventing new stuff for a while and just a little bit work with old one? For example: 16) - Damned ship look. The only thing solo PVE player encounter in seas is damned ship, but c'mon DEVs: I mean it looks like some alien crustaceans made some bones ship and then put disco rave dance party inside. It should look mystery and scary, but now - it looks funny. Maybe... 17 - How about that MINIMALISTIC INTERFACE you made? It looks like a temporary version. I mean even small Russian company that made a Corsairs game ages ago worked a bit on HUD graphics with all chains, ropes, royal velvet, wooden and old sheet of paper style parts. I... well have kinda poor photoshop skills but screen interface could be more... arty, more old fashion etc. It's a bit late in Russia right now, but I'll also will mention inventory and stats screen tomorrow...
  24. 15 - Trading feedback. Alright, I finally was able to join the party and set my trading!!! a) - To do so I had to wait until guy who built closest warehouse to me - drop the game and didn't show up for 20 days. Only then I was able to demolish his warehouse and built my. So... I mean, I hope that was your plan (and it's weird plan), so players only can experience some game features after another players drop the game for at least 20 days. If not - you screwed somewhere up. What developer in the world would wanna players don't play his game??? b) - Even tho my windmill and warehouse have enough fuel, windmill always stops due to lack of storage space. It means windmill and warehouse don't synchronized at all. c) - My windmill produces just a regular stuff. Some wood, thatches, fibers and stones. I also manually gather some metal (there is one spot with nodes in my island, but there are like 30-40 nodes there) and put metal to my warehouse. I set all 1x1 exchange - wood for different types of wood. Fiber for different type of fiber. Thatches for thatches. Stones for stones. Metal for metal. And that's it. You wanna know what I found in my warehouse after I log in today? - Tons of gems (ruby, opal, diamond). - Tons of ingots (iridium and silver). - Some eggs. - 100 cannonballs. I mean. I happy with that, but... DEVs you do know HOW UNCLEAR YOUR GAME IS? I mean WHY? Why did I get all this stuff? I didn't set it up for trading... who put it in to my warehouse? Can I pick it up, or I should leave it there so all stuff will continue travel to somewhere? ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯ d) - All logs trading related are AWFULL. I mean It looks like that: - 15:00 your shipment #3897503475 was sent. - 16:00 your shipment #9823429387987 completed. And i've got like 90+ pages in just ONE DAY. I mean who in the world will be able to navigate those numbers? But the bad thing about all this stuff it not the way it made. The bad thing is... well. It gives me the opportunity not to leave the island. I mean, before that, I had to do some exploration, to gather some different resources. And it was some kind of sail age romance. You sail somewhere and then you back home with ship full of stuff. Now I only need to build three building and wait until I've got all I need. And most of all - now we actually need to do some trading work. Instead of sailing somewhere, experience sea battles, I stay in my island, and riding horse for metal, to put it in warehouse, to set yet another trading route. You really sure you wanna PVE game became this like, so everyone will log in once a day, to just relaunch windmill and check what they've got in result of automated trading? I really hope you guys really do understand where you heading your game to. Right now I have more and more doubts I understand your vision. But correct me if I wrong. We are not going to see seas adventures anymore right? No more pirates of Caribbean. No more sailing age romance? We're gonna see some kind of ARK, at the release, with bases, tames, more tames, tames with hats and happy farmers and trading tycoons around right? You should at least not torture players, who waiting for THE GAME of sailing, piracy and adventures and make a clear statement of what you plan to turn your game in to. p.s. - And yeah. I wish I was able to at least paint my windmill, warehouse and market.
  25. Last patch devs told that next one will be Jan-11. It's 12 in Russia right now, and we're looking forward to see devs waking up from holidays hibernation : )) I just remember the funny we have in Russia. Professor from university sleeping the night before exam. At 3 a.m. the phone call wakes him up. And voice from the phone asked: - Are you sleeping? Professor say: - I'm... The voice say then: - And we are studying!!!
