  1. Please make the Glider Height a setting that is configurable in the Server Admin so unofficial servers can make a decision independently. We understand that glider height needs to be a thing with PVP and barrels bombing across islands in the same region but many of us on PVE servers enjoy being able to scout islands for resources and use these to get around quite a bit and its really an enjoyable aspect of game play. Thank you.
  2. Nerfing Handling Sails because Speed Sails are broken. Sounds like a great way of not fixing the same problem. All the other changes to the loot table, all just stuff a low level intern could make. The no effort patch. What was the budget 1.2 man hours?
  3. Incorrect sir, everyone gets them, you just get different ones if you sponsor. What you expect the server admins to spend a couple hundred bucks a month and have no way for people to help offset the cost.... maybe you can find something to play in make believe land socialism pays for everything.
  4. It costs real money to host those servers and they are tuned to be more fun and less of a grind. I am a sponsor with my server because I appreciate the value and support they provide. It's not technically p2w, you can't buy a mythical galleon or anything like that but ever hour you are playing you get coins for loot boxes and sometimes you get good stuff like a blue print for a mythical med cannon. My supporting is entirely voluntary, you get coins for boxes no matter what but if you do, you get more coins and better loot boxes.
  5. Per Patch Notes " - The higher quality shipyard used when building a ship, the more level ups a ship will be able to obtain. " The higher tier shipyards are broken in terms of leveling. We play on a private and our server admin confirmed the issue with extensive testing. Testing method. Our server admin dropped a normal shipyard and was able to inject XP and get the ship to max level. Our server admin then spawned a mythic shipyard, when injecting XP into the ship the server admin was not able to get the ship's level above 56. The server admin also tried to launch the ship and then inject the XP after the boat was launched this did not work either. This was tested on both a schooner and a brigatine it affects both shipyards. Could a dev please test this out? We would hate to build a galleon with a mythic shipyard expecting to get the "mythic benefit" and get stuck well below the level of a vanilla shipyard. Thanks for your time in advance.
  6. I used to have an Unreal Engine Error Crash one a day or so and said - well it's EA. Now that Unreal Engine Error is crashing once an hour or so. Does anyone else have the same problem? Does anyone know of a fix? Can the Dev's finally get to the bottom of this? How about an acknowledgement or indication that it is a known issue and on the board to be fixed. PC Specs: Intel X5960 / 32GB RAM / nVidia 2070 RTX / Windows 10
  7. Seems like we had a problem with changing divers after we took damage, I drop the first half, then we were attacked by crabs while he was driving and the only option was "demolish" after that.
  8. Can confirm - need to put tames on passive now when on boat. Lost two tames before I did the math. Put one on passive and took it out no problems. Pretty sure they ignored SOTD damage on production, intended change / feature?
  9. I play on a private PVPVE 5x5 server and pre-wipe, many of us are in smaller companies but we would get together each week to do the Kraken fight. Based on the dev posts, they indicated that the official PVE server is going to have alliances turned off, is it or would it be possible to have that a configuration option so private servers could decide which option they would prefer?
  10. Can't even risk high level tames on galleons. Take them ashore to help you gather materials and they bug out, get stuck and just die. So incredibly broken I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet.
  11. So after running around chasing down seeds to start a farm to do the advanced cooking. When working on recipes we throw raw meat into the grill along with the other recipes. When we turn on the grill the grill does two things. It immediately starts converting raw meat into cooked meat and it makes the selected recipe? How does one only cook the preferred recipe? If I want to cook 40 of the recipe I have to put in 100 raw meat? Is this a bug, a feature or am I missing something?
  12. First off thanks for making the game. Having a blast and it's Alpha so looking forward to the future. I wanted to take a moment to present a couple ideas related to information and data logging. In the future can we.... Storage Logs: Add logs to items that store things, so if someone goes over to the community smithy and removes a stack of gemstones because they are making something we know who to ask about returning what they didn't use? Captains Log. Every ship since the time of sailing has had a captains, bridge or officer of the deck log. On private servers some choose to mix / match PVP and PVE zones offering a balance for player types and then put rules in like if you start an engagement you can't run into a PVE zone to save your ship. it would be great if we adapted the Captain's log functionality into the game where every time the ship did something such as shoot or take damage it would record the region, the lat and long and what happened. Region X; Lat / Long; Fired X Cannons; Damage Ship [Insert Name] for Y amount is an example. Make this data available, not only that but make it exportable. Or even better allow the user to open a map where it mapped out each event (the latter might be a heavier lift programmatically) this would be a really interesting feature in terms of programming but if the ships sank the logbook could end up in the captain's inventory so they could possibly use it as a lesson learned experience. Regards, John
