  1. I've seen 5-20 men companies quit the game after their brigs/schooners got offline sunk. And those type of the companies are/were the majority of the player base.
  2. What do you mean? You can safely park there already if there's someone able to repair in 7-8 hours. Current decay rate is 10% per hour, all im asking is to decrease it to 5%. Well if adjusting means waking up after 6-7 hours just to fix your video game ship then fuck that. Yea in the current system its just not worth my time to build schooners because they keep getting sunk after 1-3 days. That's why im asking for a change. Actually not sure what ure trying to say here..
  3. Gonna reply to this since you added a whole new paragraph. 30 minutes for a schooner? Give me a break. 16000 fiber, 15000 thatch and 16200 wood excluding cannons and extra structures on it. Even when you have all 28 planks ready it takes at least an hour to place all the pieces and then load it. Never said 12 is an achievement. It was said to point out HOW i lost them not how many. I could've build many more if I needed to. As a solo player you do most of the stuff on a sloop. Having few more hours in freeport is now a ludicrous request? It would still take a shit ton of materials to keep repairing those big ships and time for traveling back and forth if you wanna store it there. Lemme guess, your company's main strategy is sinking enemy ships while they're offline and it would be still doable because most people wouldnt want to spend 3 hours everyday to sail with their galleons to freeport, farm and repair it there then come back.
  4. NA PvP Player Online: 2904 EU PvP Players Online: 991 Yup, definitely should've happened sooner. I'm gonna have a difficult time bringing any of my friends who left back into the game after their experience. People like you are the reason they did not react fast enough. They obviously thought their "fanboy" base is way bigger than it is.
  5. Like I said - oblivious. If they didn't need extra financing from early access they would wait 2 more years to finish it and then release it. You're insane if you think that player base or sold copies don't matter, especially in a game with 900 official servers. If you've read my posts you'd see I'm doing good as a solo player but mainly because I have enough time at the moment, most people don't. I'm just going to quote Jat from his captain's log few days ago. Even the devs don't agree with you. It is HAPPENING, I just want it sooner.
  6. Wow, those numbers are sad. And after all complaints and suggestions I've made because I care and want this game to survive, I mostly get "git gud" bullshit replies. Blows my mind how oblivious some people can be.
  7. And I thanked him for that, didnt I? I refused because I'm on this island since the start and I know every inch of it, including all other islands and servers around it. I know where to find every single resource or animal. I'm allied with 12 companies and I have pretty decent dock with proper stone walls instead of disgusting large gates because I also care about aesthetic and not just meta. I refused because I'm doing well where I am, not because I'm a douche who doesn't want to have any contact with other people. Played with 6-7 people at some point but they didn't have as much patience as I did. I'm not here selfishly complaining and asking things just to suit MY needs, I'm asking for thousands of people that left or will leave the game because they keep losing their SHIPS, not even talking about bases here, and they couldn't do anything about it. There are dozens of complaints popping here every single day. You should have sympathy for solo players and smaller groups unless you want to play in completely empty servers with few big companies. Not even exaggerating, it's a fact everyone can check on steamstats. This ark-like design is failing and needs to be addressed before it's too late. I don't know about NA PVP, but EU PVP seems pretty dead and you're all advocating status quo for some reason. Do you want to make a compromise or be forced to play another game because they cannot sustain these massive expensive servers with such low player base? Had 2 towers with 4 puckles on each covering every single angle. Also had 4 swivel guns armed with grapeshot on the ship and one on the tower in case they dive to avoid puckle gunners. All they had to do is make a tower out of thatch and outrange my puckles. My point is if I were there I'd probably be able to defend it or at least have an interesting and intense experience but instead they were left clicking on non moving planks and towers. I can't understand how ANYONE can enjoy this more than actual PVP. Giving us an option to keep the ships while asleep would keep so many people in the game and also lead to more interesting gameplay loop. But seriously I'm done arguing with you offline griefers, you're getting fucked anyways soon as they announced in cpt's log. My suggestion was to give us a temporary safe heaven in freeport until they implement their idea in march.
  8. Yea my bad. I''m on lawless since day one and I've met dozens of bigger groups who have quit the game after constantly losing their ships/fleets while they were offline. It's not only a solo player issue. I have nothing against big companies but being in a smaller group should be viable, I mean it's kinda viable but it gets extremely tedious and boring wasting so much time just because you had to sleep. I don't see why increasing decay time to few hours would be such a big deal. You still have to repair the ship there, your base still can get raided and most importantly you can sleep without worrying about rebuilding the ship tomorrow.
  9. Sounds like we have a moron who can't write more than a sentence.
  10. Sorry if my post confused you. It happened in lawless and the ship was surrounded by 8 puckles and 4 swivels, covering all angles. I recommended 15 hours decay time so we can park our ship in freeport while we sleep because it gets really tedious to rebuild and level it constantly because it got sunk while we slept. If people are able to keep their ships longer there would be more traffic and more actual PVP interactions instead of offline bullshit. As a max level solo (sometimes with my irl friend) player i already politely refused so many invitations from big companies, its just not my thing. Thanks for the offer tho. Solo player on Offical PVP server, level 51, 4 bears and an elephant, 70 stored planks in multiple bases. Probably a nerd in a zerg company having everything farmed and just log on to offline grief smaller groups and solo players. Fuck off or at least elaborate
  11. No, they prefer losing 5000 players each week.
  12. Right now you can safely park it there for 7ish hours but I dont want to be fucking sleep deprived because of this dumbass game. What reason? There was a reason a month ago when freeports were full constantly. Last time I checked it had 5/150 people in it.
  13. 10 while I was offline, 1 because of server problems few days ago, 1 after I got kicked when i entered a new server and SotD was camping in the next server, 0 in a battle and actual PVP. Last schooner was protected by 13 npcs. They are completely useless. Can you please increase freeport decay time to 15-20 hours until the march patch so we can park there during the night? I'M LOSING MY PATIENCE. Solo/duo PVP.
  14. I dont even know why theres combat logging at all. If i snipe someone from hundreds of meters away, why should he know who killed him? Why would a small company "pirate" and attack a big one when they can just read company log and then hunt them down until they completely wipe them.
  15. wish we could see something like that on pvp servers instead of gate spamming
  16. The real pirates in ATLAS should be smaller lawless groups who attack transport ships of big companies, other smaller groups. Big companies are busy with big wars, expanding and politics. But no, smaller groups, especially who live on lawless have no fucking way to save their ship during the night so they're mostly busy with rebuilding ships until they're eventually fed up with it and quit as thousands have done already. I'm 100% sure if they did increase decay time in freeport few weeeks ago, we would have at least 10k people more in the game right now. I'm also afraid it might be too late to save this game. For most people (those who left) it was such a frustrating experience, not an enjoyable one and probably will never come back.. Spend hours and hours building and preparing ship just to wake up and find out it was sunk by a naked guy with 1 or 2 oil jars and 2 fire arrows. Funny thing, in lawless zone you can actually see if a company is offline by checking building timer which is also absurd so there is absolutely no reason to risk doing this while people are online. I have 350 hours in this game and NEVER lost a ship in a PVP battle, all of them were sunk by oil jars, fire arrows and bugs. PVP my ass.
  17. Lost my level 30+ ship full of blueprints, around 8 hours wasted because of this. I really don't feel like rejoining and rebuilding my ship for the 10th time in last 15 days. If it's not offline griefers then its bugs and crashes. Either way I think I'm done until we get offline protection for ships.
  18. I tried to join some random freeport server and it put me where my ship was. Try selecting specific server instead of "rejoin"
  19. managed to join after 3 hours of waiting. Lvl 35 ship sunk. It's getting really hard to keep playing this game.
  20. Tried having 8 puckle guns around the ship and they seem to be useless. If I'm saving it in freeport i have to fucking wake up after 6-7 hours just because of ur fucking video game. Servers are empty, so this wont make freeports overcrowded, just more lively. Why is it a problem if people are able to save their ships? Everybody wants to see more ships on the seas which would make more cool PVP. Right now, 80% of the gameplay is farming if ure in a small company.
  21. First of all I want to say English is not my native language so I apologize if there are some mistakes. I'm in a group with 3 friends at the moment, it was more but due to how unforgiving the game is, they have quit. Even those two don't play as much so I'm mostly solo on EU PVP (more than 200 hours). We reached and asked some of the companies with land to give us a small place to live and tax us but we got refused every time for different reasons. It was mostly "merge or leave". We gave up on that and settled on lawless island which is fine with me except the part where I keep losing ships while offline, even with npcs on cannons and swivel gun armed with liquid flame. So as a mostly solo player my biggest issue atm is having to rebuild schooner over and over again and even with 2x harvest it takes some time. This made me think how to help solo players and small groups without helping bigger ones even more. - There are 2 ways of doing this. First you could give a harvest buff based on a company size. For example, if your company averaged less than 5 members in the last 3-5 days you get 20% harvest buff, if it's in between 5-10 members you get 10% buff, for 10- 20 - 5% buff. This would help smaller companies a lot to rebuild and not immediately quit the game after they lose their first brigantine that took days to build, while they were offline. Of course, these numbers could be modified at any time to improve the balance. - Or alternatively the same thing but by reducing the ship costs of everything bigger than sloop, using the same system depending on the company size. For example, it costs 20% less mats to build a schooner if u're in a company that averaged less than 5 members in the last 3-5 days. In my opinion this would converge the gap between companies without hurting big companies and not giving too much power to small ones. Big companies would still build ships super fast and smaller ones would still care about their ships enough not to grief big companies. Also to prevent abusing the system there could be some kind of cooldown period to join another company after u left one. Let's say you cannot enter the new company for 24hours after leaving. This combined with average number of members in last 3 to 5 days should prevent the abuse from big companies. To all of you who will say "just git gud or join the big company" - I understand your point of view but it's just not gonna happen as you can see on stream charts. Most people chose to simply leave the game instead of looking for a big company they would MAYBE enjoy. I live on a lawless island and 90% of small groups just quit the game after they ship/s got sunk during the night.
  22. Did they fix this? I already spent 2 hours goin' to freeport just to find out hire crew is bugged
  23. Game was so much more enjoyable before they introduced ships of the damned. Sailing was relaxing, now its just stress if u're alone on the ship or there's no wind. I dont think ive ever seen anyone who likes ships of the damned yet they're everywhere
  24. Mine foundations? What about other peoples structures you dumbass? I don't want to spend next week farming cannons and cannon balls just so i can get some trees
  25. No trees on lawless since v10, game is unplayable for some people atm
