  1. They are permitted 4 spams per hour or whatever it is, multiple bots are allows to spam too. Nothing wrong with it, the problem is when 1 spam bot is spamming 500 posts.. At the moment it's managable.. until they do region locks.. it'll always be an issue. This is the question.. get minted by easten banks.. but have to deal with constant spam and advertising.. which really doesn't bother you, just your western players.. or only sell to western banks.. and get moderately polite forums.

  3. What you don't know, is that I can't readily go outside.. or I would. My point is, I play more.. he plays less. He wants the game changed to suit him. I don't. Bad life decisions.. a pipe landed on me. But thanks for your perspective. That's really odd, since the active guys in my company, all are online a minimum of 8 hours.. some as much as me. And they work for a living.. People who cannot play for 4 hours or more, shouldn't even be counted. Nor should people who turn up every weekend or once in a blue moon. And if you think my hours are bad.. god.. wait until you find out about account sharing and people being active 24/7 with several people playing on the same account allowing companies to rapidly expand, tame, build etc. You have no clue.. about what's really going on.

  6. The best solution would be to make a player only feedback forum. And cut out all the misinformed opinions. For example: Non Players: The silo is a great idea, fantastic, super, wow.. The Players: The silo doesn't actually work, it just feeds everyone, with gold and berries. Friends, Enemies, Strangers, Allies.. Now lets say Grapecard followed the opinion of the Non Players.. They'd never know.. that the silo was broken. Thanks for that, non players.. I'm sure the players will thank you. The latter part of my argument is that non players making promises to rejoin and therefore directly be informed and supportive with actual detailed information from their own actual experience.. are still non players.. until they actually become players. Making promises, does not guarantee your return and the game should not be steered in the direction of your demands. But in the direction of the actual players. The game should only be designed and manipulated for the players, by the players. Not for the spectators. Of course.. the spectators will disagree.. I'm sure even some of the players will as well. This is my opinion. Don't like? Lump it. Now you'll need to forgive me, but I have to get back to playing the game...
  7. I play Atlas for on avg 12-14 hours a day.. 4-6 days a week. Far as I'm concerned.. if you don't have the time to play.. that's your fault.. not mine. Why should my gameplay be affected because you can't organise your life?
  8. I'm abit confused.. by any objections to my thread tbh.. The Devs.. created the public TEST Realm.. surely.. it should be used for TESTING.. Why else have it? Sure it's ea and overall the game is in progress.. but adding items that simply dont work.. thats not game progression.. if anything it's game regression.. The worst of this issue esp with the Silo, is it was added as a QoL addition.. it actually makes QoL worse.. and people who don't even play the game think it's amazing.. Personally I like the "idea" of the silo.. But let me know when it works. Before adding it.
  9. Then if it doesn't work.. you will have tested it before releasing to the general population. Stop using us as guinea pigs.. let us volunteer for that pleasure.
  10. I forsee that they'll change how the code works, without advanced warning that the entire game will need to be reinstalled. And that they'll add a silo, call it a QoL change, that will utterly fail and break the game.
  11. That explains the massive drops in berries and gold in our silo. It felt like we were feeding the region.. not the island.
  12. Nice input. I don't agree with all of it, but there are imo many fine opinions stated here. I've used strikethrough for stuff I disagree with.
  13. - Reverted the Claim Flag height limit on Official Servers v209.34 - When replacing invalid claimflags, you can now place them within the green ring of your original flag - Claim flag height limit has been increased to 6500 units above sea level v209.31 - Important: Claim Flags now have a maximum height limit when being placed. Claim Flags that were previously placed which exceed this limit will indicate as such on the HUD. Those which exceed the limit will be able to place a 2nd claim flag in a viable location. This will destroy your old flag and drop it's entire inventory into a loot cache (2 hour expiration time) on the ground. Next Wednesday, we'll be deploying an update which will force destroy any legacy flags which exceed the height limit. The limit is 4k units above sea level which is approximately 16/17 walls and only admins or above will be able to replace the flag. - New configurable ini setting for Claim Flag height limit [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] MaxSettlementFlagZ=4000 // you can set this number to 999999 to have no height restrictions. Reading this through.. it appears as tho someone had an idea.. Added that idea to the game without testing. The idea was then removed. All that's changed is a new line of code appears in private server scripts and alot of people where stressed out for no reason.
  14. I kinda agree with this, alot of what goes on in the game doesn't need to be touched or felt within the game for comment to be made on. However, alot of what happens in videos.. is edited for effect, staged etc for amusement. Which can lead to false assumptions. That said, the viewer can watch a fight and go "oooh... that's unfair.. see that!" and the player will be in total agreement. It's even possible indeed probable, that viewers will see stuff or guess stuff that the player can't/won't because they're preoccupied with not getting their legs ripped off.. But.. the issue here, is that people who don't play a game.. not only don't have any moneytary input or quite likely, won't play it ever again, somehow have the right to steer how the game is designed. ie to change the gameplay future.. of current gamers. The people who do put into the game on a daily basis and do make "in circumstances" ongoing payments etc should be the only ones giving feedback. People who haven't played for a week or more, don't own the game etc.. shouldn't even be allowed to post in the forums.. let alone view the content. They should perhaps get a forum for themselves to discuss theory. Where their opinions can't hurt anyone.
  15. What should happen, is you click em to rescue, they swim to the ship. If you're on the dingy, they swim to the dingy, mount a rowing spot and assist you by copying your rowing movements. Unfortunately.. the game was made by grapecard. So instead.. the ai does nothing. Useful, except shoot fish..
  16. You actually think you're the only person who's maintained a base.. I laugh at your tiny base. You should see what I used to maintain in ark. It didn't take hours, it took days. The silo is a nice idea.. but it's only for berries.. and gold. If anything, it makes my QoL much worse.. as I can't harvest berries fast enough, we put 5000 berries on the silo, about 10 hours later, there were 450.. using meat/veg is way better. It lasts much longer than berries. I guess if you have easy access to berries it's a different issue but for me.. not so much. I can fill a food larder and not have to touch it again for a few days.. the silo.. didn't last a day.
  17. I wasn't. I don't condone realists right to comment either. (didn't intend to if I did) He never even bought the game. But, alot of what he says tends to center around viewpoints that can be argued without having played the game.

Yeh i managed to kill one of them then another appeared.. i have same issue with crew, sometimes i send to ship and they just exit follow and stay treading water etc.. its annoying.. but i got the crew eventually from other sotds. We just went into golden isles and 2 sotd fleets waiting 3 gallys 3 brigs and scho.. was fun.
  19. Every single time I get a crewmen.. sharks instantly spawn next to them and kill them. Even if i use the dingy.. or diving suit.
  20. Yeh.. but it wasn't a skill issue, either the thing was empty or I emptied it, trying to use it.. dunno, but i can't repair it.. just threw it away and made a new one.

It's easier to make a new one that it is to repair it.. the repair function is utterly broken, it doesn't even "see" the repair resources unless they're in your own inv.
